The Miami International Airport Hotel

I was on a time crunch to find a hotel close to the airport, but I had to keep it under a certain price point due to work restrictions. We had to be at the airport at 6am, so I didn't want to risk one of those 5 miles away but 20 min drive time situations.
I decided to call the reservation line to see if there was anything they could do, or if they had any recommendations, and the lady on the phone came through! I didn't see these rooms listed when I was searching for hours, but this hotel has mini rooms! They were under my budget, so I immediately booked our 2 rooms, absolutely thrilled that we would be inside the airport already and I could get that extra 30 mins of sleep.
On the way to the hotel, we checked reviews, and I was scared I made a bad choice, but we figured we could tough it out for one night.
Thankfully, I had a very different experience! But I did stay in the twin bed rooms, and the bad reviews seem to be about their larger rooms.
I did see how the hallways were a bit dated, but that didn't bother me at all.
My room was clean, bathroom was clean, shower was updated, bed was soft.
I did have the same issue with the shower water turning hot every other min, but I just stepped to the side for the 5 seconds until it passed.
My coworker in the other room said his bed felt like it was broken and sagging.
The shower and flushing the toilet is pretty loud, and you can hear other rooms using the water, but it was pretty muted.
There are a couple of restaurants in the airport you can access til 10, and there are a few small food spots open all night like Subway and the self checkout gift shop.

Staff was awesome.. Shuttle was decent back and forth to airport.. They do need 2 rolling tho to handle people and less wait time.. My room on 8th was great no issues and had a decent view.. Bathroom is a little odd of a set up but I think it's cause of a refurbishment..

Gorgeous hotel sky high prices for their restaurant that’s open for dinner and a breakfast buffet. They charge 18% gratuity so please watch that.

There is a Fed Ex on the first level, along with a Starbucks. The Spa is to die for!!! I sat in the Arizona room until I couldn’t take it anymore.

If ever in Downtown Miami, go see them! You won’t be disappointed.

Miami International Airport provides efficient services, modern facilities, and a wide range of dining and shopping options, ensuring a pleasant travel experience. I got through security really fast. the restaurants were also amazing. I had fish tacos at my gate!

Very good room, and the woman on the front desk was helpful with no problems with check-in. The shower in the bathroom is great. January 2024, I was over 24 hours late, thanks to British Airways. So I lost the room I had booked for Thursday night sadly, but when I landed in Miami, the hotel sorted me out with another room for Friday night which was GREAT so THANK YOU to all the staff here.

It’s a beautiful airport. It was a pleasure to walk through and the food has all kinds of varieties. We did the ceviche place twice and I think that’s the best I’ve ever felt after eating airport food.

The ambience of this airport was really nice. A lot of different food options to choose from, gift shops were amazing. A few liquor stores there that sold amazon alcoholic beverages.

Similar to many I had a long day of travel solo with my 3 year old and had only planned to pass through Miami. The airline was less than helpful and my online reservation didn't go through to the hotel so when the price was provided to me I was a little shocked and trying my best to hold it together.
I desperately tried to make another reservation online to cut some unexpected costs but with a nearly dead battery and an extremely tired toddler I said forget it and I'll pay full price.
A gentleman working at the desk (I wish I had enough mental clarity at the moment to remember his name tag) was an absolute angel and was eventually able to help me out. He was able to assist me with pricing and I am so grateful to him.
He literally made my entire day and I felt like I could breathe and nearly cried for his kindness.

The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the walk to my gate in the morning was a breeze.

It's Miami airport does anyone really love this place? The place is huge it's difficult to get around You have to run most everywhere because they're tram doesn't work anymore between terminals. I do have to say with the amount of people they sure do make it go quickly through TSA

Went out of his way to make sure I had hot water after a cold shower.
Also got my laundry back very quickly, cheap to!

It was eventful and emotional... please make sure the cars actually stop before you cross the pedestrian crossing.. we nearly got wiped out. The car stopped less than a foot away from my husband and son..
Tried checking in, turns out I was scammed online with tickets 🤦🏼‍♀🤦🏼‍♀😭😭 but... Maria at American Airlines was absolutely amazing, got us on the next flight and managed to seat myself, hubby and our son together.
Security was next level hahaha don't travel with a lighter that resembles a firearm 🤦🏼‍♀🤦🏼‍♀🤦🏼‍♀ bloody Aussies! Hahaha

We were just there a short time. We had a 1 hour layover. The transports weren't working that day so thank fully We just had to short walk of about 9 gates.
The place is clean and we had no other issues

Restrooms were very warm temperatures. Overall, the airport inside temperature feels a bit warm for Miami, FL. Usually I have to wear a sweater. NOT THIS TIME🤔

Just flew through here on the way to Cuba and then back. Airport was clean. Very busy which is a good thing for them. Ate at one of the restaurants.

I requested a wheelchair to use when I got there but there wasn't one available. I waited an hour for one. Our boarding gate was changed 4 times before we finally boarded. The staff changed my seat closer to the front since I had to walk to it

Arrived at D gates, had quite a long walk to customs
Then
Had a long walk back to the same D gates
Customs was really efficient and since we have global entry we moved right along
There's some really descent food options throughout the airport

Huge and well managed. Very alert cart drivers for any one needing assistance l. Comment about the Airport

Love the tri-rail. I believe the fare was $6.25 per person and it is nice not to have to drive in the crazy Florida traffic.

It’s a great option to rest if you have a long connection time between your flights. Has all the essentials.
