Eileen's Bakery & Cafe

Eileen baked 2 specialty wedding cakes for my wedding last year, 6/3/23 and all of the guests loved the cakes. They were fresh apricot and lemon poppyseed cakes. My sisters picked the cakes up for me and Eileen met them with kindness and love. This bakery gets a 5 star rating for me. Also, I plan to have my gender reveal cake made here 🤗

This is one of our favorite places downtown. They always have fun cookies for the kids, every breakfast burrito and sandwich we’ve had has been delicious. Once, myself and another friend had set up on the back patio so we could have our coffee and the kids could move around (there was no one else on the patio for them to disturb) and Eileen herself came out, asking if she could bring out cookies for the kids, asking which drinks we’d gotten, if they were good. The staff is always friendly and informative, the inside is cute and clean. Can’t go wrong here!

Cool little coffee shop that's a kind of hard to find unless you're looking for it (it's right next to the library). Great coffee, and they have plenty of nondairy options to add to your drinks. The only thing I wish is that they had more vegetarian/vegan options for food, but the drinks are amazing.

Wow, great space for breakfast or lunch with a big assortment of baked goods. We had bear claws and pull apart apple cakes along with robust coffee. Each sitting area has acrylic shields for covid protection. Friendly cheerful staff! This was a church and all the character is left untouched. Just a few blocks from main street and street parking free and plentiful.

Of course the food is excellent. It's so hard to choose a treat or sandwich. Everything is pretty ridiculously good. AND-the service is also always friendly, warm, and patient. Always makes me feel welcomed. Thank you!!!

Ooooh la la! THIS is the bakery to visit in Fredericksburg! Everything is beautiful and tastes just as amazing as you hope. The croissants are perfectly buttery, flakey, sweet, and just a dream. Breakfast wraps and coffee, pastries and lovely people. Enjoy the beautiful architecture inside and relaxing atmosphere outside. Eileen’s is everything I hoped for and then some! Update: we had our gender reveal party at Eileen’s and it was absolutely beautiful. The private room seats 24 and has a view of the garden. Eileen made delicious cupcakes, pasteurized and sandwiches for our guest and everyone was raving about the food and decor for days. Thank you Eileen. It was perfection.

Eileen’s has a wide selection of pastries to fit about anyone’s taste buds. We had a large family gathering and I made a breakfast casserole and added a bowl of fruit and pastries for all to share. Everyone was able to taste several since they are pretty big. It was a great way to try several pastries and was a big hit! Oh, and they were all good!

Eileen made my daughter’s two tier chocolate birthday cake- which was delicious, moist & just beautiful- as well with her cupcakes & cookies. She’s extremely helpful, honest, friendly, flexible & super creative! I highly recommend Eileen & we’ll be going to her for our future cake & desert needs!

Been here multiple times for sandwiches, pastries, coffee and tea. The staff is very friendly, excellent service. Last time, my friend and I brought our small children, and the guy brought us our drinks so we wouldn't have to get up. The sandwiches and pastries are really tasty, and they have a lot of fun/unique choices. The space has an open floor plan/tall ceilings but it's cozy and clean.

Eileens bakery gave us an amazing cake! We're from out of state and I wanted to surprise my mom with a cake for her birthday. I choose Eileen's blindly online. I wasn't expecting the flourish on top! Lovely little coffee shop which takes residence in an old church. The food is eclectic, delicious, and reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and efficient. My latte was good but was especially hot, so much so that I had to let it sit for about 15 minutes before I could drink it.

Food is DELICIOUS. Not a quick place but worth every minute and every penny. Best bakery I have been to in Fredericksburg. I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a doughnut or begal in there so not traditional, but delicious, savory, and unique options for breakfast and lunch.

My new favorite place! Yum! Everything we’ve tried was tasty, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was very relaxing. As you can tell by my photo, it was damn good. My bf wanted me to me to include that they have a strong espresso. I will be back, tomorrow, literally.

Great place in downtown Fredericksburg. Parking is street out front and it's counter style service; you go in and order what they have out in their display case, it's then warmed up and they call you back to pick it up.

Had a whipped cream sponge type cake custom order and was one of the best I've had. In store their chicken curry is very good and their breakfast quiche as well. Will definitely return to try other items.

It's in what looks to be a converted church, very rustic type decor inside. Good place to hang out for an hour or two with assorted tables.

We LOVE Eileen’s! This is our go to breakfast place in Fredericksburg! Always a hit with our family and friends whenever they come to visit! Anything you get here is always fresh and super delicious! I also ordered a cake for my husbands birthday and it was literally the best cake I have ever had in my life! It was an apple pie cheesecake and I called a few days ahead of time and they were able to get my order done (it was Memorial Day weekend/graduation weekend) and we are still talking about that cake! One of the best things about this place is that no matter what you get every time you come in, everything always consistent. It tastes the same (delicious) every time! We can’t say enough about how great this place is! Also the people that work there are always super friendly and helpful! Next time you are in Fredericksburg give this place a try!

Love love love this place! I go in with the kiddos I babysit and the staff is always the sweetest and most patient while we choose our pastries. The food is absolutely delicious and I honestly wish they were open on mondays.

incredible inhouse bakery items, coffee, take and bake family dinners, and sandwiches with a super friendly staff in a beautiful renovated church. i used to come here regularly when i was a student at umw and miss it more than anything else about fredericksburg! the potato souffles are sonnet-worthy and the focaccia is incredible!

So thankful for Eileen and her amazing staff for our beautiful wedding cake and amazing sticky buns!! Everything was absolutely delicious and beautiful and Eileen definitely saved us in an emergency! Thank you Eileen! 💜
