Great shop, great employees. They are always very helpful and very knowledgeable.

Officially a customer for life. My experience here has been nothing but excellent. Even when a used purchase needed some light work, or a new one needed a part installed, I did not spend a dime. Customer service is outstanding, selection is second to none within hundreds of miles, and if they don't have it, they will try to get it. Not trying to gush over here, but I just got back a project today and could not be more pleased with the work done, really, its fantastic. I cannot recommend this store enough.

After many visits to this store I thought it was time to do a review. The staff is very knowledgeable and has no problem not giving you an answer rather than guessing which is awesome.. they are not a normal shop... they have a strong family atmosphere.. and are not there to sell you like a used car salesperson.. they are more like ... financial advisors.. answering all your questions.. helping you decide what is or even what is not right for you. They know the difference between a collector with a passion for ownership as well as an enthusiast who isn’t sure what they want or need.. I have gone in undecided at times and was never pressured.. because they aren’t that kind of place... I cannot speak more highly of a company... when you shop their it is forming a small relationship with the store.. I’ve called several times for clarity on things in the past and they have always very thoughtfully answered.. even if the answer was “you could do that.. but I wouldn’t recommend it..” and then here is why... sure I am not saying they can educate the world on every facet but wow they sure do go the distance...it remains my pleasure to shop there!

I usually don't leave reviews. But I just had such a good experience here that I felt like I had to. They had great customer service. The person that helped me was very friendly and very helpful. But I also seen the other employees helping other customers and they were great to. I have many closer gun shops around me. But I think ima choose to make the 60-70 min drive to shop here. I dropped a pistol off for a sight swap and a custom built AR for cycling issues. Both guns were done in just about 24 hrs. Excellent service every time I go in, and friendly staff (even when I don't buy anything). They even took my AR to the range to ensure that the cycling issue was gone (showed me the video to prove it when I checked out). Only complaint is that I had to clean the gun, but I find that relaxing so still 5 stars.

The gentlemen at Spar are very knowledgeable and very helpful. It is nice to go into a firearms store and be taken seriously when you are a woman. When I have gone to other stores they would not even wait on me. Very honest. Prices reasonable. Lots to choose from Great customer service.

Excellent gun store. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They have a wide selection of firearms and at a very reasonable price. Transfer and other services are priced well. I've worked quite a bit with Frank and he is always very personable and happy to let me browse and handle their inventory. Also, they have a great selection of Kimber pistols which is a plus if you're in the market for one.

Awesome service and employees. On my third trip in just to browse, I ended up walking out with a nice 12 gauge! The employees know what they're talking about and can help you with whatever you need. Amazing selection as well! Prices are way better than major chain stores.

I'm not new to firearms, nor to shooting but I am new to owning guns personally. Came here to purchase my first handgun which will primarily be used for self defense and teaching my wife about firearm safety and shooting. Despite not being very familiar with gun makes and models, I was able to make an informed decision on what handgun I wanted due to the friendliness and competency of the staff. I worked with 3 different staff members who assisted me in selecting my firearm and going through the paperwork, all of whom answered all my questions about each model and their personal preferences. I walked out with a brand new Stoeger that I'm very confident will fulfill all my needs, from home defense to conceal carry to a possible service weapon for private security.

I have had nothing but great help and service every time I have been to Spar Firearms in Mechanicsburg. They go out of their way to be helpful. Also very knowledgeable. They have a great selection of firearms at good prices. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy a firearm.

I was on a mission last Saturday. I drove all the way to Elizabethtown to purchase handgun. That store was mobbed! I went to Hummelstown to small shop recommended by a friend. The sign on the door warned customers that only four people were allowed in...I opened the door and five people were already in there. I decided that the universe was telling me that I wasn't making a purchase today. On my way home, I decided to check SPAR firearms. I walked in and was greeted right away by Cody. He listened to my newbie blather and was able to make a recommendation to match my needs. I could not be more pleased with the customer service and my purchase. Your sales staff is great. Thank you!

One of my favorite gun shops I have ever been too! I buy most of my firearms and accessories from these great guys. They are VERY friendly and they know their stuff. I take my guns there to get work done that I can't do myself and they charge very little if anything at all!

I just recently bought my 2nd gun from SPAR and will for sure be coming back again and again. All employees I dealt with were friendly and knowledgeable. Stock was a little low which was expected during this COVID-19 pandemic but they had what I was looking for. I will continue to recommend this place to anyone looking to buy a firearm.

March 13 pick up a canik rival and fn 509 couldn't be happier with purchase the crew at spars top notch.

Ordered an AR off a website and had it shipped to SPAR. It arrived Tuesday at about 5pm and they called me by 6pm saying it had been delivered and to stop by ANYTIME. I rolled in at about 730pm on a Wed and the guys were able to have me in and out in about 10 mins.

If I recall it was $35 to transfer which is cheaper than most in the area. This type of service is not a real money maker for them, I mean they have to take your weapon, inventory it, secure and then wait for you to pick up. There is no way they turn a profit on it.

I am so thankful to have a shop like this nearby that offers this and so many other services.
