I had the fish and chips. It came with a soup or salad. The fish was fresh, the batter was light, and the serving was really good size. The coleslaw came in these very small container and was bland. The fries were good and all the food came out very hot, which I like.

We stopped in for a quick bite on a Sunday afternoon. Sat right down, server came over right away. The sausage parm grinder was the absolute best I've ever had. Fresh and hot. Tender sausage and tons of cheese and sauce. Fantastic.

I was on one of my day trips out west, and I set this place as a lunch destination. It was my first visit here so I ordered my go-to sandwich... if they get this right, then it's a good indicator that the owners know what they are doing. The sandwich was, in my opinion, perfect. The roll toasted just right, nicely seasoned and grilled chicken and the lettuce was appropriately shredded nice and fine. Mayo, provolone and onions were also tastefully portioned. Like I said, a perfect grilled chicken sub. The pizza looked great as well, but I'll have to come back to try that on a later day trip. Thanks Red Tomato pizza for a great lunch experience!

Had chicken parm, spagh, salad. The chicken was cooked excellently, but a bit stringy, still good though. Service was beyond excellent. Atmosphere was pretty typical. I'd definitely eat here again.

I've discovered a jewel in Barre, MA. The chef and owner Steve, who we met this night started his business in Vernon CT in 1975, had success and grew to a bigger resturant in Manchester, CT, before coming here to Barre, MA in the last year or so. Connecticut's loss is our gain. Steve is up early in the morning making his special homemade tomato sauses and other homemade foods to delight his customers. The first visit had us hooked on Stuffed Peppers and homemade meatball grinder with peppers, onions, and 2 types of cheeses! The first bite and I could tell we had a winner! This food is the craft of food at its best. More than food it's ART! This place is one of those gems, worth getting the familly together and taking a drive. I can't wait for my next visit. If my review helped you decide to go, please honor me with a like. Enjoy your meal at the Red Tomato, where there is something for everyone to eat. Prices are family friendly and nice clean place in Downtown Barre, MA.

My family and I ate there tonight (Halloween) a bit busy, naturally but the waitress was great and food. .OMG . . So worth the wait!! The kids (mom and dad too.. lol) enjoyed their cheese pizza while my husband had the "Special" grinder and I had the "Super Sub" grinder. Lets just say , we found our new place!!

The staff is very friendly and the food is great! We were pleasantly surprised by how quick our food was ready. It's right in the middle of town. Our first time here, we stopped in after a Spartan race and were glad we picked there to eat.

Not the best, grinders are amazing, and the service is great, alongside the wonderful interior, and a surprisingly fancy restroom. Though when I was there the fire alarm went off and sounded very outdated.

This little hidden gem in the center of Barre MA never disappoints weather it's a sub, pizza or full course meal.
We sat in the cozy little dining area which was very clean. They took our order at the counter but The meal was served to us by a very friendly young man while we sat in our booth. The baked haddock with baked potato and broccoli was amazingly delicious . Came with a toss salad and a huge potion of garlic bread. The clam chowder was creamy with chunks of potato and clams that flavored the broth perfectly. Served with New England style oyster crackers.
My partner enjoyed a huge Veal parmesan with linguine in a tasty red tomato sauce served with a salad. Need less to say our taste buds and tummies were greatly satisfied.
If you are driving up route 122 don't miss the Red Tomato in Barre MA for a tasty bit to eat. The staff was amazing friendly as well.

We went to the Stone Cow Brewery first but their band was way too loud and not very good (being nice here). So went to the Red Tomato. It was quiet, they welcomed us and served us excellent food. The Rocket Salad was favored by 3 of us. I had the Athenian Pizza and loved it.
