I stumbled upon this shop yesterday with my family and was blown away by how amazing it is. It’s not only a cute shop with eco friendly toys, it’s a full on sensory experience for toddlers (and adults!). It’s been such a struggle to find quality, sustainable, open ended toys for my daughter and I’m thrilled to find that this shop exists. Everything was beautifully presented, organized and aesthetically appealing. Will definitely come back when I am in town again!

Truly a staple small business in our hearts and home. Fort does it all, from birthday parties to presents big and small. Every experience with them is wonderful and special and unique, it’s our go-to for the perfect gift or a casual mood lift. The ladies that work there have outdone themselves making magical memorable experiences for anyone who enters those doors. The adults love it just as much as the kids! Lovely store right in the main shopping area of Fredericksburg. Took the kid there later in the evening and she enjoyed just looking around. Lots of high quality toys and eclectic items for children. They also offer these sensory boxes and other items you can have your child craft. The staff was very nice and let us mix up the design a bit to her liking. They also offer birthday party options and I believe construct their own dollhouses, which is impressive. Great to see old world toymaking in a modern form.

This is such a cute store with some amazing and unique toys for kids. It's a little more pricey for the toys than your average toy from a department store but they are well worth it.

Really cute kid's toy store full of bespoke wooden toys, costumes, and build-your-own sensory play boxes. My daughter loves this store and we always end up leaving with some kind of miniature animals and felted trinkets.

Something for all ages! Even things you would never dream of (which is most of the store I feel like.) The sensory boxes are incredible, especially with the kinetic sand.

The owner and staff are always so friendly and sweet. They have a schedule of activities throughout each month too, so this can be a place you come on a regular basis. We live in Manassas or we'd definitely be here more often.

Just had another amazing FORT box-build experience with my 3 year old for his birthday. The staff was so amazing and patient and made it such a memorable experience for us. Now we have a beautiful little box at home for all the open ended play!

My littles LOVED building their Fort to-go sensory boxes in store it was such a fun experience and they can play with these mini boxes for HOURS! Great service as well! We will definitely be back.

Beautiful store loaded with toys for imaginative play. Waldorf inspired and just as special as any of the highly curated toy stores we frequent in Brooklyn. Super helpful and friendly staff. Will definitely return.

Great little place to spend sometime with the little ones. They have cute toys not found in other stores, and make your own scenery in a box. The staff is very friendly.
