Alturas Tire Shop

Alturas Tire Shop was included in our annual Christmas letter...here's where they played a role in our summer travels...A stop at Subway for lunch became our last adventure...the battery light came on in our 2007 Rav 4. Next to the sandwich shop was an auto place. Our alternator was failing. We could chance it and head into the heat of Nevada and Arizona, or have it replaced. We decided on the latter. We had to stay the night so we found a quaint hotel housed with little visitors, ants, and camped there for the night. We paid for the alternator and labor. It was later discovered that the radiator had a leak too. A new radiator was 200+ miles away so the owner stayed hours after closing repairing it the best he could. Due to quick fix to get us on our way he refunded us $170 because "we do better quality than this!" Alturas Tire Shop took incredible care of us. A refund at an automotive business, really...only God! We give them 6/5 stars...great job!!!

They are for fantastic the most knowlegabale and helpful people I have ever encountered. I was afraid to drive my car any distance and really had to they went out of there way to fix a problem I have tried to have fixed for years. They did it in 15 minutes so now I can feel safe driving I'll be back next week to get the rest of my car checked

Woke up to a flat tire the other day. Waited for new one to be in stock to take car over. They fixed what was found to be a puncture and were honest enough to tell me I didn’t need a new tire. Long term customer earned.

We where stranded when our alternator gave out on the car. Rusty Stanford called several auto parts stores in the area to no avail. He found a match in Klameth Falls, Or. which was on our way home. He charged the battery and had us on our way. He went out of his way, which enabled us to be on our way. Very impressive service to travelers in trouble

I was in a jam after a terrible experience at a local nearby gas station. Rusty took wonderful care of me and turned my day around. Hands down the kindest people around!!
