Good food and service. Close to the Central Islip train station, so it's easy to get to. You can call ahead and pick up your dinner before going home.

Excellent Spanish food, friendly down-to-earth staff, classy mom-and-pop ambience.

Crossed the street to dine here after we missed our train by a few minutes and ended up taking it slow and enjoying a nice meal. I had a superb mix of mashed plantain in delicious gravy-like sauce (garlic-styled or creole) with a choice of protein. A unique dish packed with flavor in every bite.

Dining partner had the fried fish fillet, which was thinly breaded flavorfully and fried just right. Simple but so satisfying.

The dipping sauce for the complimentary chips was also wonderful.

Love love the food here! Such a good taste! Amazing habichuelas. Amazing rabo. Amazing Lobster also And the best part is the staff! They make you feel so comfortable! Yesterday was my 2nd time going and deff going back soon!

Great food. We had the fried calamari and tostines Ss appetizers. And octopus trifongo, mofongo with chicharrón and trifongo with chicharrón/shrimp. All delicious. Also sangria and flan as dessert. Very good service too.

I recommend this place. The food is DELICIOUS. I am coming back to El Pilon. The prices are reasonable and the food is out of this world. You will not regret coming to this place. I had the "Asopao de Camarones" translated "Shrimp stew", yummy. Boy, I can't wait to go back.

This my 3rd visit and as usual I loved the food. Very clean environment with light music to help you enjoy your visit. I highly recommend if your looking for a place with a Spanish flare..

Outstanding new resteraunt here in CI. Great variety of hispanic food (mofongo, mangu, chivo ect.) at exceptionally reasonable prices. The staff is warm and friendly and the quality of the food was excellent.

This place is a great place to eat food, a big variarity of dominican food and the people are great there. Highly recomend this place. I go there minimum 3 times a week.
