Mr. Himes has such an impressive racing collection of memorabilia from a famous racer himself. He's so kind and informative and its such a cool unique experience. This felt like such a privilege to see everything hes so kind to show his collection to the public. Please make an appointment before you see him and if you're into racing make some time to go here you'll really appreciate it.

The history of Long Island's racing scene, provided by one of the few remaining racers, Mr. Himes. A must-visit for anyone into racing history, Long Island history, and anyone wishing to travel back in time for a while.

I can see why this place is rated so highly. This place is unlike any other museum you're going to visit around the area.

To us, is was the perfect place to start a day trip in Bay Shore. The Himes brothers were accomplished racecar drivers back in the day, and have all the memorabilia to prove it.

From power cars that they used to race on Long Island race tracks, to championship-winning cars donated by other drivers, and kid-carts that they assembled themselves in their youth, this place has it all. To me, the centerpiece of the collection was a 1900s Penny Farthing bicycle.

All in all, this is a fantastic place run by the two brothers.

A must visit for anyone interested in the history of motorsports on Long Island and beyond, and is interested to hear stories told by someone who was involved as far back as the 1950s. Marty is talkative, engaging and eager to share his memorabilia and the stories of his life's devotion.

The museum is probably one of the coolest places I’ve ever found on Long Island… Met with Marty today and his brother and we got the tour of a lifetime, learned a lot about the racing history of Long Island. These guys are a cornucopia of history. Help with the politicians in the builders guys like Marty are the guys that make Long Island a Memoral place and build history here.

I live 15 minutes away. Been there hundreds of time. I STILL haven't seen it all. Marty Himes is a great tour guide. Loves to answer your questions. I can't believe that history or long island auto racing is all in 1 place.

Marty Himes has almost singlehandedly saved and preserved Long Iskand history.
I took my nephews for a visit and Marty and his brother regaled us with their knowledge and their passion. It turns out that we had mutual friends and interests. I can't wait to go back.

Old time racing on Long Island. Has the original race cars and so much memorabilia of the drivers and starters now known as daggers. Would go there every time I go to N.Y.
