A small restaurant that's easy to miss if you're not paying attention. But if you're lucky enough to stumble upon it like my wife and I did you're in for quite a treat. Beautiful atmosphere and vibrant. The place is really beautiful inside. Very small . Not a lot of tables so make sure you get a reservation. We were lucky and found a spot at the bar. The service was perfect. The food was perfect. Everyone there was friendly and helpful.

One of our fave places to eat in the area! The macaroni & cheese is legendary, the atmosphere can’t be beat with warm & local vibes and Marla is amazing. The Heron has gotten us through the pandemic & long, cold upstate winters. Can’t recommend enough! Insider tip: the chicken tenders are AMAZING & sell out fast, so make your reservations early.

Absolutely fantastic! Food is top notch and the dining area has an old school charm. Cheeseburgers are sooo good. I wish I could come back more often but I live abroad.

Have to say at first we thought oh no not sure about this place. Well then we wanted the Salmon but it was after 7 pm on a Thur night and they where sold out. Ok then we were not for sure , We’ll let me just say 2 got the chicken and love it. The other 2 of us decided then we would try the steak, let me say that probably was the best steak I have ever eaten. The pepper crust was out of this world. The spicy margarita was so good. Seriously make a reservation because if not you may not get in..

I've been at The Heron 5 times over the past 7 years, 3 of them in the past half year. The quality of the food is really good and the portions are large. It's a bit pricey, but they don't skimp. The service is efficient and friendly. The atmosphere is nice, but a bit cramped since it's very popular. The hours are somewhat limited--it stops serving food by 8 p.m. Reservations are recommended!

Service was great, they were hospitable & answered every question and made many suggestions while we interacted.

The food was SUPERB and super fresh! I thoroughly enjoyed the chicken and potatoes. The gravy they paired with the chicken was honestly drinkable lol! They even gave carrots (so I felt healthier)!

The mac n' cheese was cheesy and well seasoned paired well with the chicken, glad I splurged for it! All in all, I am going back & I will eat inside next time - it's a very cute hole in the wall!

Went with a couple families and had a great experience. The wait staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating to our group. The biscuits were amazing, we kept ordering more! Also highly recommend the corned beef hash and the Mac and cheese, which everyone agreed was the best thing on the table!

Delicious. Everything we all had. The pancakes were our favorite. Although I forgot to take a pic. The crust on the mac and cheese I could snack on all day.
The town is super cute. This place fits right in. But its definitely not cheap.

Discovered it on drive through the amazing scenic route. A perfect stop on a fall foliage trip. Situated in a tiny Town this place will make you go back. The food is amazing. Wish I could try all the items on the menu. The cocktails are definitely a winner too. Brown derby was made to perfection. Great service and great food.

Huge fan of the Heron. Went here for dinner with a group of 6 — very friendly wait staff, delicious espresso martinis. The chopped salad is to die for. Recommend splitting the Mac and cheese with the table. Finish your drinks out on the patio w / beautiful view of the river. Will be back!! Be sure to make a reservation ahead of time.

This place is soooooo good. It’s expensive, so prepare yourself, but worth it. We had the caramelized onion mac and cheese and it was delicious. Buttermilk fried chicken with potatoes and gravy was as good as it gets. Salad was crisp and fresh. Would highly recommend coming again and sitting on the outside deck. Don’t forget to make a reservation.

I could really go on and on but I will just say that I was absolutely blown away. The food was incredible and the staff were very attentive. I can’t wait to go back!

I have eaten at The Heron many times over the past six years and the food is consistently good. It’s one of my favorite restaurants and the staff is always friendly. The restaurant is clean and the inside has a very nice interior design and a cool vibe. Outside the views from the deck are amazing especially in the evenings. I no longer drink alcohol so I can’t say much about the drinks, but I can say that they always bring in really interesting non-alcoholic options. Not a lot of restaurants in the area do this. I have never had a bad meal here either dining in or takeout. My favorite items are the chicken liver moose, crispy eggs, mac & cheese, chopped salad and they always have great soup options. Definitely give The Heron a try and you won’t be disappointed!

Great spot for brunch and dinner in Narrowsburg. The drinks and ingredients are locally sourced. It has a nice industrial and modern atmosphere.

Comfort food at its finest 👌🏻 Paul & Marla have built an amazing restaurant on Main Street, Narrowsburg. Pre-COVID, I would have recommend brunch and mimosas on the deck but here we are... Order some take out and enjoy a good meal made by good people.

Oh my goodness love this place had the small mac and cheese to die for and i dont eat mac and cheese. The chicken liver pate to die for! A small side salad couldnt anywhere near finish even 1/3rd of everything so full. Stephanie so sweet and helpfull! Will be back.
