Overall amazing and efficient owners/team here! My car recently began to shake while driving and braking so Larry got me scheduled to come in the following morning. Waited very little time and now my car drives smoother than ever. Thank you SCP!

I rarely write reviews but I feel SCP Automotive deserves one. My daughter is a student at UD and we live out of town. Her car started making a loud sound and she was afraid to drive it. Upon doing a google search, I luckily chose SCP Automotive. Not only were they honest but they were able to get her car in quickly for the repair. Another bonus, they are close to campus. The first time I took my car here I thought a lot of work would need to be done since it had been a while since my car had been serviced. I dropped off my car, requested a full inspection, and told them to do any repairs up to $200 and to call me if the car needed more than that. It turned out my car didn't need much work at all and we never came close to that $200 ceiling, They could of taken advantage of me but they did not. I've been taking my car to them ever since and they have been generous with their time and knowledge. The best mechanics I know of.

Doctors, financial advisors and mechanics. You need these people in your life to be honest and trustworthy. The owners and mechanics here have proven many times over that they are all that and more. I see no reason to take my business anywhere else.

Routine maintenance, odd jobs and way to many "preowned vehicle inspections." These guys do it all.

I am a guy who does most of my own work - not anymore - I COMPLELETY trust Larry and Dean and their team to service my vehicles. Superb work, honest, fair prices - what more can you ask for? My 100% GO TO auto service shop.

They fixed my brake system on very short notice. I thought I had a rear wheel bearing problem as well, but their honest assesment that the bearings were okay, ( it was the tires) saved me hundreds of dollars. I was very pleased with their professionalism and customer service. I think they are a 'diamond in the ruff', of care care service. Will definitely recommend them, and go again as needed.

I recently used SCP Automotive to service my van. I had an intermittent problem that multiple garages had been unable to diagnose. Dean in the office was very courteous and knowledgeable.I really appreciate the fact that they were able to fit me in on a Saturday, even when I had just called on Friday. Their prices were extremely reasonable and I will definitely have SCP handle all my future vehicle maintenance. Thanks for taking care of my problem quickly and professionally!

Best mechanics ive ever been to. They are always honest and fair about pricing. And they can always get the job done. They've worked on every car I have ever drove and always do great. Highly recommended.

These guys are awesome. Dean helped me with my 15 year-old Dodge truck. It was a very challenging repair (AC leak) and they kept at it until they had it blowing ice cold. Fair prices.

I recently took my Saturn Vue to SCP for suspension work and they did a great job. The work was done properly and efficiently (1 day) and the final cost beat other estimates. The car no longer pulls to the right and the suspension noise that originally got my attention is gone. I am an engineer and I found the SCP mechanics to be friendly, honest, and automotive experts. I highly recommend SCP.

Prior to going to SCP I was told by a dealer that I needed an entirely new suspension including struts on all four wheels. The estimated price by the dealer was $1950. Ouch! That's when I decided I needed a second opinion on this and SCP was just the ticket. SCP found that the struts were not leaking and still had substantial life left. The bottom line is that they fixed the suspension for just under $1000. Thanks again SCP, great job. I'll be back. --Cliff

Solid service. Knowledgeable and extremely nice, happy to help with anything big or small. Great small business. I haven't needed anything major done, but I'd easily trust them with it if it ever came up. Being as good as they are, they're also busy, so be prepared for that.

I NEVER have to worry about my car at SCP. The guys always do such a great job, and do so remarkably quickly. The day before yesterday (2/24), I broke an axle, ball joint, and sway link on the highway (it was terrifying, as you can imagine), didn't actually get the car towed until 9pm, so the guys couldn't do anything until the next day (2/25). I figured it was either totaled, or was going to cost thousands of dollars. They had all of the repairs done within a matter of just a few hours, at a FAIR price. Today (2/26), my car (a 2004 Volvo with just under 200k in miles) feels brand new. Seriously, I can't sing their praises loud enough. If you want mechanics you can trust, ones that will give you straight and honest answers (and those are hard to come by), and a shop that cares about you and your safety, take your car to SCP.

Taken our vehicles there for a few years now and have always received EXCELLENT service at great prices. It's very convenient too as I can drop it off and walk back home. Highly recommend SCP.
