Very friendly staff! I brought my daughter's heavily beaded wedding gown to be cleaned and preserved and they inspected every inch of the dress right in front of me. They took the time to check for tears and loose beading and assured me that everything would be checked again during the cleaning process and repaired if needed. I would recommend this establishment to anyone who wants to maintain their dress as an heirloom.

My husband and I got our wedding alterations done here! We absolutely loved it. My dress and his suit came out exactly how we wanted it to! Rosalba did the impossible to fix the cups on my dress as it was a difficult dress but it ended up turning out exactly how i wanted it! Thank you so much Rosalba and her team 🩷 We will definitely be coming back here for all of our alterations!

Tom and staff were so kind. They preserved my wife’s wedding gown, and explained how to best keep the dress in its best condition. Tom was patient and thorough and let my wife see her dress before packing it. They seemed to know every customer by name as they walked in. We are new to the neighborhood, and have found our new cleaners!

We took our daughter’s wedding dress to Islip Cleaners on a recommendation from a colleague. Tom took the dress in, examined it for damage and then wrote up the order with a delivery date. The delivery date was honored and the dress was cleaned and preserved beautifully. When I picked up the dress, Tom took the time to show me how it was packed and displayed in a box with a lid that opened to show a window to the dress. Further, the box was closed up and placed in a cloth bag along with a pair of white gloves to be used if the dress was handled.

If you are looking to preserve your wedding gown, Islip Cleaners & Tailors is the right place to go. Very pleasant, very professional and quality work. I live 20 miles away and I am thankful for the recommendation to go there. If I lived closer, this would be my preferred cleaner.

My son needed his NYPD uniform cleaned same day for a funeral. I dropped it off at 2pm and they will have it ready for 4:30 with no extra charge. Islip Cleaners NEVER disappoint.

This place was recommended to me by another bride that had her gown cleaned by them. I had a great time at my wedding but at the end of the night my gown was black (see photo). Islip cleaners cleaned it beautifully and got out all the stains and dirt, the dress was like new. They even had it ready sooner than expected. Gentlemen at the front was also very nice.

My jacket's slider stopped zipping up my jacket after accidently closing my car door on it. I brought it in here after being tired of working with it since it was my favorite jacket and didn't want to get rid of it.

They were able to replace the slider to get the zipper working after a couple days and at a much cheaper price than going for a new jacket. They also sewed up its ripped pocket and replaced a broken button on it! The replacements they used barely looks different from the original pieces. I'd never been to a tailor but they made me glad I went to one. Truly grateful and will be sure to go again if I need a tailor's service!

I was looking all over for someone to fix my small bag. Because the zipper broke. So I came across here and asked if they fix zippers and they said yeah. Short story the lady was nice, gave me a price of how much it would be. The price of it wasn't bad. came back an hour later it was nice. Thanks so much!

This place has never let me down in 10 years! I’ve always came to them needing something in a hurry, and they always had a faster turn around than I asked for, and it wasn’t just something simple I’ve brought many of my military uniforms that needed to be altered perfectly and they cleaned my sisters wedding dress and it looked better than when she bought it. They’re always so welcoming, and sweet. Easy 5 stars. Thank you!

I had called almost 10 different dry cleaners for same-day dry cleaning. Every single one of them turned me away. However, this establishment put me first and made sure I had my clothes back within four hours - a day before my flight. Thank you so much

Great service! excellent and accurate communication. I came in today to get my faja altered upon entering even though there was a few people waiting I was atended to immediately. They were very friendly and asked what I wanted, they gave me exactly that. 2in taken off my waist! Perfect compression now. The price was great even with the 20% same day fee….also it was available to pick up 1hr earlier than quoted. I’ll be back and recommend any family and friends here. Thanks Islip Cleaners 🙃

Dan and his team at Islip Clearers provide excellent professional service. I am very satisfied with their gown cleaning and preservation service of my daughters wedding dress and veil. Their process uses standard museum-quality practices, and their pricing is fair. I spend a lot of money on my clothes and have tried a few cleaners in the area. In my opinion Islip Cleaners is the best. They do a thorough job in their care. I often leave things in my pockets and it''s always returned with a note. They pick up and deliver which is very convenient. Great place. I initially looked up on Google for a good dry cleaner near me that does tailoring. I saw Islip Cleaners & Tailors so I gave them a try. I became a loyal client. Very professional, tailoring is superb, the cleaning is impeccable and they treat you like royalty. More people should use this place, you definitely will be satisfied.

I'm very pleased with the alterations and the customer service at Islip Cleaners. I trusted them with my sample sale wedding dress that needed a lot of work done (i.e., hem, bust, shoulders, buttons, fixing holes, adding bustles), and I'm very happy with the final results. They did a great job working with very delicate fabric (lace bodice, illusion neckline, and soft tulle skirt). It fits beautifully and looks brand new. Danny, along with one of his assistants, helped with the alterations. They never rushed me to make decisions and they listened to my feedback and comments about the alterations I wanted done. I also value and trust their professional opinion on what would look best.
It was great service at the best value, and the results were beautiful. I would go back to Islip Cleaners for any of my alterations and would recommend it to others.

Superb service;they clean my delicate window coverings, valances, curtains and windows from the inside, so beautifully. I have this service done every few years, not often enough. I hope Dan and his wonderful business last for many years to come. I don’t know what I’d do without them.
