T O'Shaughnessy

I purchased an older Mercedes Sports Car from Terry O’Shaughnessy. It looked to be in great shape and well taken care of. Terry assured me that everything was working well and that it would pass inspection – no problem. I test drove the car and things seemed to be fine. I paid him his asking price. Terry also threw in a couple of tires and a custom cover. He and his wife delivered the car to a half way point for both of us and I drove it home. It did NOT pass inspection and one front coil springs had collapsed and the other was in bad shape. This could have been dangerous driving home. I had to have them both replaced to pass inspection – just over $600 in repairs. I contacted Terry and his wife and asked them if they would split the cost of the repair and reminded them to send the cover which they had forgotten and promised to send. I called and left messages 3 times and also emailed 3 times – no response. They seemed like such a nice couple; his wife a principal of a local school. NOT EVEN A RESPONSE! Shame on you both.
