Prairie Queen Recreation Area

It is a very nice lake, I like it because it has several options, such as fishing,🎣walking, cycling 🚴‍♂and it has an area for outdoor exercise. 🏋🏻‍♀You can walk it in at least an hour and by bicycle in 30 minutes or depending on your speed, or how you want to enjoy the place...
You can bring your dogs, excellent place to walk together🐕🐩

What a gem. Tucked away lots of fishing opportunities, well maintained great for walking. Seems popular but not crowded.

Nice place to walk or exercise. Clean. Restrooms along the trail. Wasn't overcrowded, but a good number of visitors. Good parking.

Beautiful area, very peaceful. Open from 6am to 10pm and there’s a decent sized parking lot (free). The lot slopes down a bit in the middle but fairly level on the front spots near the water.

Great area - wide paths to allow bikes, runners, and walkers. Not too many people at any given time, especially as you move along the path.

There's a boat ramp - definitely a nice area to kayak in. The lake is big enough to not feel like you're even remotely crowded.

I'll be curious to see what happens to the area once the apartments go in.

This place never disappoints! Although it seems like there are a lot of people out fishing off a different size boats, there are so many wonderful places that it never feels crowded!

Very fun place to kayak and fish, appreciate all the structures that help hold the fish.

Been here constantly over the last couple years always consistent catches! Catfish, blue gill, bass, crappie in tons of hot spots!

Great lake to kayak. Easy access with a timbered area to explore and navigate.

Great ruck this morning for me and my crew. Beautiful sceneries and lots of fishing opportunities.

My family and I like coming here for walks and an occasional bike ride. The truck is very clean and the views are spectacular. Everyone on the track is always friendly and courteous to each other. The sidewalks are wide enough to allow bikes pass freely without any interruptions. Along with Nebraska sunsets the lake offers a little bit of peace and serenity at times as well. I like the fact that they provide restrooms and adequate parking. The trail is always open to the public. So that makes things very convenient.

Little piece of heaven! Trails are great! Lake is great to kayak on!

4 mile loop counterclockwise. 3.25 miles walking clockwise. Large path for comfortable traffic passage. Scenery is still developing but the views all around the lake are beautiful!!!!

Got a bit sunburned but had fun with my husband fishing on the boat. Although he caught at least eight fish and I caught none.

Been tough fishing this year, but still a nice place to visit with the boat.

Secluded, easy parking and beautiful view. A long trail that seems never ending, I have never been able to walk it completely. The landscaping going around the trail is trimmed out of the way of pedestrians. There is also exercise equipment which seems to be maintained well; I don't recall animal poop preventing anything from being used. Plenty of space to go for a walk, run, go fishing and more. Very peaceful area.

Love taking walks around the lake. Such a fabulous environment!

The trail is plenty wide, the park is clean and quiet. Definitely a good place to walk dogs

Nice lake for walking and fishing. Can’t go wrong if you wanted a nice easy going place to fish.

So well kept and beautiful. The boat dock and ramps are awesome. They have a gorgeous paved walking trail/bike trail. There are restrooms that are also very well kept. I highly recommend making a visit here. You WILL have a great time! :)
