Lehman College, CUNY

Since 2013, I’ve had the pleasure of being a 2nd degree undergrad student, graduate student, dietetic intern, adjunct lecturer, AND the on-campus dietitian at Lehman College.

I can’t say enough good things about the Lehman community. Not everything is always perfect, but I’ve absolutely loved—and continue to love—interacting and engaging with students, faculty, staff, and leadership.

The campus itself is beautiful, self-contained within 37 acres, with a variety of flora and fauna as well as an underground system of pathways to facilitate travel to and from buildings during inclement weather.

Conveniently located near the green and orange subway lines and within walking distance from many eateries and convenience places.

I am alumni of Lehman College. I received my Bachelor's degree in Social Work in 2006 and I have to say that I received the best education I could have asked for. I paid for my education and my professors were very knowledgeable and made sure that we learned the material. The professors here also taught at some of the best private colleges. I value the time spent here and that's why I chose to return to Lehman for the casac program. I highly recommend anyone to pursue a degree at this college. The campus being absolutely gorgeous is also a plus!

Lehman College is a 4 year college. Offering over 50 majors in Biology, Accounting, Environmental Science, Journalism and more. Affordable tuition and an amazingly beautiful scenic campus. As building is quite old, construction is going on still it’s worth taking a walk here
Lush green gardens and beautiful library plus awesome walkways and old concert hall and other buildings.
Library staff is too friendly and easy going and so is the library too
They have open tables with solar panels which is awesome
Lots of environmental hazards are there which can be dangerous. Work need to be done on that for sure else it can have some dangerous results

It's a pleasant and clean campus. Although I attended the school decades ago, I can't confirm the current quality of the education.

Attended a play at the theater, and it is a great location to watch any production. Clean, spacious, and no bad seats. I will definitely come again.

It's beautiful! You will love it if you visit. Also you will recognize it from several movies and series!

I’m kind of surprised to see the low reviews. Seems more of a personal issue with some of them. Lehman College is a great school for students looking to major in psychology, nursing or performing arts. They have a great environment before and after the pandemic. I think that it became slower after the pandemic, but everyone is doing their best to get back to what it was. I am very proud of the development of Lehman College and it’s effort to become better. As a proud CUNY student, I believe they provided most of the resources that they can offer from the spaces (APEX/Student Life Building/Library/cafeteria room, etc.) to their assistance in learning (writing lab/tutoring/etc.). Also, their Spanish food is so good.

Easy to get there from 4 Train NYC

Lehman College is one of the four colleges I went to. It was my first choice and I was not disappointed. They have every course of study for multiple career choices. I was a Printmaking major with English minor. The campus is an absolute treasure and the gym with it's Olympic size swimming pool where several Olympic contenders practiced is a dream come true for anyone who loves swimming. There's more than one parking lot along with multiple on street parking. Restaurants are everywhere around the campus and public transportation is at just about every corner. There's a great venue for performing arts where many worldwide performances are held. You will not go wrong by choosing Lehman College as your college of choice... especially when a full-time course is paid for by the state. All city colleges are free when taking a 12 credit full-time course.

Very huge campus and a great place for academics. The security is tight and the place has a very high traffic. Yesterday was a graduation day for 2023 outgoing students.

It is an amazing campus and they give you so many opportunities.

Went to see El Gran Combo on their 60th Anniversary concert. WONDERFUL SHOW!!! Lehman college always brings the greatest talents. Very clean Performing Arts Center. Great experience!

I use to work at Lehman College from 2011-2013 from the Kitchen and Mailroom. The staff treated very well and friendly. The quality for food is excellent. They have tunnels in case when it rains outside then we use that tunnel to visit other buildings.

Personally have been very happy here. Transferred in fall of ‘16 and have no complaints! Love the campus itsself. Every Prof I’ve had so far I’ve liked. Love getting a soup from the cafeteria on the days where I have breaks between classes. Cafeteria has a great selection- all items are tasty and inexpensive! Can’t complain.

Are swimming classes also offered here? What is the mode of enrolling in swimming classes? And what is the rule and regulation for admission

It's a decent senior school. I had a great time at Lehman.
The campus is old though, after renovation, the library is super beautiful.

Lehman College, as a college it is has a big and beautiful, pleasant campus. This place is at a time a college and also a visiting place. When I visited there, i found a performing art exibision happening. Also art gallery, library, theater, music hall everything. In Sunday it is quite place, but at the same time it has different events in Sunday. Communication is good, a 4 train station nearby, and public buses.

The Music Building is a simply beautiful building that makes for a picturesque center to Lehman College's campus. I haven't been inside the building as when I was there, it was closed for a holiday, but the outside is stunning and very well maintained.
