I want to thank Sherisse Thompson. She is very straight-forward and gets right to the point; she doesn’t take shortcuts and is very responsive and informative.

I don't want to generalize because not all employees are unprofessional, but a few are. I will start by saying that I went to visit my daughter. She's in the psych ward on the 7th floor. When entering the building I first interact with security personnel. There are usually 2 security officers. The first officer you will interact with will ask you, "can I help you?" You state your business and the officer will direct you to where you need to go. If you are visiting a patient, you will speak to the second officer who will take your information, ask you for ID, and give you a pass. You may have to leave certain personal belongings not allow on the psych ward floor.
If you have to leave personal belongings, it will be placed in a private locker and you will be given a ticket with the locker number. Today at 1pm there one young looking officer who seem to be having a bad day and I noticed he was talking to the other officer pouring out his frustration in a lengthy conversation and was not paying attention to me. I was waiting for him to ask me for my ID so that I can proceed to check in but he continued talking and after a few minutes I interrupted the conversation with an,"excuse me sir can you please check me in?" OMG! This young man turned around and gave me a " if looks can kill" gesture. His posture was frozen for about 5 seconds as he looked at me with anger and I was really confused. He checked me in,I placed my personal belongings in a locker, and gave me a card with my locker number. There was no word exchange but when I asked him to please give me a pass he refused to give it to me and told me to go. This interaction was uncalled for on his behalf. This security guard was complaining to the other officer in front of visitors and was not paying attention to his responsibility. It's sad because the first person visitor's or patient come in contact with are the security personnel and these employees represent the hospital as a whole. I feel supervisors have to be more vigilant and aware of the employees under their supervision. That particular individual left a very negative impression.

My sister was taken by the ambulance to this facility we couldn’t get to her until 5 days after our family keep calling for any update no one return our call, we are a large family 3 brothers and 6 sisters this was our baby sister 51 years old. When we finally get to her she was in ICU having lung failure along with pneumonia they incubate her all we keep hearing is how bad she is doing. There were many doctors , looks like training season hardly making eye contact I guess they don’t have answers, my sister ended up dying with in 15days of blood infection, some one mentioned grave yard I agree, this is the worst hospital I ever visited they kill people, if anyone is reading this please take heed, we didn’t know the ambulance would bring our sister to this hell , my mother told the ambulance to take her to montifiore which is close to our neighborhood my mother have gone there numerous times instead my sister was taken to hell and no one was talking to us … the lost of our sister is devastating to our family.

The building is confusing and not easily accessible for someone who is disabled. If you can’t take the stairs it’s like a maze to get anywhere .

It’s hard to get ahold of anyone over the phone.

My Family Member was Admitted For alil less then 24 hours For Observation after getting their Psychic Meds At another Place This Place now says the Patient is Supposedly Cleared to be Discharged. When it was time to Discharge The Patient had a Episode. So the Family wanted to Speak to Dr. The Doctor. The Dr. still Said they were Able to be Discharged. So we all Left, When we Leave to fill Psych prescription with the Patient They have a Physical Altercation with another Family Member After We The Family Let 2 Nurses and a Dr. know our Fears for the Patient. Dont Take Ur Family there if u Luv Them and Want them to get Help or a Good Evaluation.

I was hospitalized here because I wanted therapy and a safe space. So very quickly I was sectioned off as a psych patient. Thats fine, what was not fine was all the negligence, lack of respect, lack of compassion and trauma I went through being in the psych er “rehabilitation program”. Consider me not rehabilitated but traumatized.

Guards mistreat patients , very difficult to get actual information on progress of a patient over the phone as well as in person , didn’t offer any actual paper work when patient was submitted , I personally called this hospital myself and heard the receptionist , nurse or doctor say just hang up the phone when I finally spoke to the patient the call before & lost connection , when I called back to speak to someone I was lied to and told the patient was asleep & was told that they are limiting they’re calls due to privacy , that is unprofessional & unacceptable 👎🏻

They have no compassion. The build is maze like. The guards don't help you. Elevator was wonky.
