Opera House Hotel

The hotel was a delightful experience. The rooms were spacious and impeccably clean, with a soothing ambiance created by the soft lighting and subtle decor. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The bathrooms were well-appointed, featuring modern fixtures and ample counter space.

One of the highlights of the hotel was the breakfast buffet. The selection was extensive, offering a variety of choices. The quality of the food was excellent, and the service was attentive.

The hotel's staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and valued. Krystal at the front desk was particularly outstanding. She was always smiling and eager to assist with any requests. Her professionalism and efficiency were truly impressive.

While the surrounding neighborhood wasn't particularly vibrant, the hotel itself offered a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere.

Overall, my stay at the hotel was a memorable experience. The combination of comfortable accommodations, exceptional service, and a peaceful setting made it a perfect choice. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a pleasant and enjoyable stay.

The hotel was very clean and quiet. The staff were amazing and very accommodating! The breakfast options were pretty limited to pastries, cereal/granola, and yogurt. Personally that was fine for me, but that might not be for everyone. The neighborhood where the hotel is located isn't the best, so just be aware as you walk around and you'll be fine.

The place was amazing! Service and amenities were great! Very fancy place and good prices!

The neighborhood is decent during the day but I wouldn’t recommend walking outside late at night (in the dark).

It’s a great hotel. It is near a subway that can take you anywhere in the city. We will totally come back to this hotel for sure!

We stayed at the Opera House Hotel on 4/25/24 with our 2 boys for their first trip to NYC! The staff was welcoming, helpful, and engaging. The hotel was trendy and a delight! Our room was large, very clean, and the beds were comfy.

We walked to and from Yankee stadium for a 7pm game with no problem! For those afraid of the community it’s a city and you just need to be mindful of your surroundings.

We were lucky to get a parking spot in the back…just make sure to ask for the address of the parking entrance when attempting to use it!!

The breakfast the next day was just what we needed before heading to the Bronx Zoo! The 24 hour coffee machine with so many selections was a great perk!

I read the reviews to make my decision in staying here with my daughter. I'm so glad I read the reviews because honestly this is a absolute gem. Not only is it a character building, but it's also an old opera house that held Performances by Harry Houdini. It's a beautiful clean hotel, with a beautiful modern bathroom, a microwave and a fridge. And the morning breakfast is filled with an array of delicious morning delights, which will keep you full till Lunch. And the subway is a 3-4 mins walk

The staff is extremely helpful, super warm, friendly and incredibly hospitable. We had the please dealing with the Zue in the morning shift, and she was beyond professional, kind and made our trip memorable. The night shift Matt was so great trying to find us an umbrella.

We love it here. And will come again!

A great hotel in a tough neighborhood. The hotel is fantastic. Reasonably priced given the close proximity to Manhattan. Excellent breakfast buffet, with tea, coffee, and juice. The staff are friendly and welcoming. There is a MTA station nearby. The road has junkies and homeless people, so that’s a downside.

The Hotel was amazing! Clean, great service, really comfortable. The staff very professional and always available to help. The location is close to everything but may not be the best if you can’t handle “street living” We stay for 5 days and everything was good. But just as a precaution, we went out on the Subway and returned on Uber just in case because we was tourists with minors and we never know. But again, the Hotel A+

Great hotel, spotlessly clean and shiny. It was refurbished some time ago but looks as though its just been done. Polite and friendly staff and well informed. Breakfast is ok a fair variety of foods. Rooms are large, spacious and the windows actually OPEN which is very important. Bathrooms are good size and spotless with shower over the bathtub. The Hotel is very near the subway station 3rd Ave 149 St. Lots of cheap shops nearby. The only downside is the neighbourhood is somewhat rundown not a pretty sight. Lots of lowlifes about and be very aware late night walking back. Remove the junkies and the area would be nice.

The rooms were clean. But the area about is dirty people throwing trash all over the streets. Crackheads all over. Up to you if you can manage to stay in the area. Mostly didn’t have an issue as the subway is close by.

I stay here frequently for business due to the proximity of the hotel to the office. The hotel itself is immaculate, the staff is friendly and polite, and the cost is reasonable.

The rooms are ALWAYS immaculate and spacious for NYC.

However, the neighborhood can be a bit rugged. Keep that in mind. Everything is an Uber ride away, but it's the safest way to travel in the immediate area.

Probably the cleanest best smelling hotel I've ever stayed at in a big city. Free breakfast every morning free parking on a 1st come service

This hidden gem is my home away from home. Not the best location but that's the only con. Everything else is amazing from the staff to the rooms.

For my first time in the Bronx, it's a great choice.

Positively surprised about the place , was in for business close by and this was great, despite q fir alarm and a crazy storm. The front desk staff Crystal was very pleasant and everything went well.
The gym had plenty of equipment for about 8 people to work out at the same time.
Towels and hot/cold filtered water station big mirror joga mats and tv.

However found some maintenance needed on some equipment and the perfect push up is broken. Please replace.

So the area is not the best! However when you go inside the hotel you forget you’re in the Bronx. The staff is friendly , hotel is very clean , free breakfast, and nice modern room with a comfortable bed. Checkout is at 12 which is great !! If you want to do early check in the charge $55 price per night for my stay on a Saturday $250 plus my early check in fee

Honestly this is a hidden gem of a hotel. Everything is sparkling clean, the rooms are large and have everything you need including fridge, microwave, safe. There's an awesome coffee machine that makes tasty coffee drinks on the mezz floor for free. The neighborhood isn't the cleanest but like...it's New York...nothing here is clean 😂 will def stay here again!

Although this hotel is in a questionable neighborhood, once you walk through those doors, you will be transported to a New World. Beautiful spacious rooms. Air-conditioning is amazing. Breakfast is continental. Customer service is great. The only problem I had was that housekeeping kept bypass in my room. I stayed in there for four days and I had to request for my room to be cleaned. Other than that, it was a wonderful experience. I would definitely do it again. Also, do not be afraid of the neighborhood. It might look questionable, but you are absolutely safe. I was born and raised in the Bronx. I live in Florida now, but you are safe in that hotel.

This hotel is like another world compared to the neighbourhood it is situated in, the hotel was well maintained, hot drinks available at all times. The breakfast selection was reasonable for the size of hotel everything was kept topped up throughout service.
Unfortunately this hotel is situated in the Bronx the area clearly has some financial issues, still we visited a few shops and takeaways in the area and everyone was happy going about their business, was not hassled even in the late evening returning on subway didn't not feel it was unsafe at anytime
Great base to explore New York City if you are on a budget

1st and foremost Mr. Abdul went above and beyond to ensure my check in went well with zero to no hang ups. He was very understanding and welcoming and made sure my stay was outstanding and every way.

Excellent hotel in a convenient location to the subway/transportation. The neighborhood around the hotel is shabby, colorful and busy. However it never felt unsafe. There is an excellent grocery store across the street. Uber to LaGuardia Airport about $40.

Our room was spacious, well appointed and immaculately clean. The bed was comfortable. When we asked for soft fluffy pillows we got them. Towels were thick and soft, the bathroom counter was spacious - great for storing toiletries. Housekeeping service was excellent!

The room was in the middle of the hotel and exceptionally quiet. The blackout drapes were good. The TV had a weird glow at night even when it was off, but we never asked about it.

Breakfast was very adequate- cereal, toast, pastries, yogurt, fruit. Nothing super special but generous, real plates. The staff did a great job keeping items well supplied and tables cleaned.

Desk staff always exceptionally friendly and helpful.
