Steve was excellent to work with. I received four quotes to have our hardwood floor refinished. Steve was on the higher end price wise but I knew he would stand behind the quality of work he was selling. He is very professional, personable and communicated from start to finish, which allowed me to feel very comfortable making this large investment. The floors turned out beautiful. We are in LOVE with our refinished flooring by FCI 😍 They brought our home’s existing, aged maple hardwood back to life and did a flawless job repairing and patching in new hardwood. It is Gorgeous 🤩 Steve was amazing to communicate with and his team was available earlier and faster than anticipated, but no detail was compromised. And they did a great job minimizing the dust from getting to other parts of our home. I cannot wait to hire FCI again for future projects!

Our home is a mid 1700's post and beam cape. Wonky floors with old maple made the refinish work challenging but Steve's team knocked it out of the park. On time, on budget, professional guys who really cared about getting the job done right. You can see below and after photos below.

We used FCI based on a recommendation from a family member. We needed some repairs done to our LVP floor (installed by a different company). From first contact to completion, Steve’s level of communication and professionalism was top notch. The Tylers (installers Tyler and Tyler) did a great job. They were efficient and cleaned up without a trace. I would absolutely use FCI again and would recommend to anyone.

Easiest update to the new house so far. Steve communicates well and keeps you informed on every step in the process. Very happy with the results!

Steve and his team did an outstanding job both refinishing our existing red oak hardwood floors and adding new matching hardware floors in the bedrooms and closest. Steve provided a ton of great options for us to consider in terms of stain and sheen so we could the exact look we wanted for the space. His team has the old floors sanded and cleaned up quickly and then laid the new floors. The craftsmanship and match to our existing floors was spot on and the satin finish with the nordic white stain came out perfect.

It could not have gone better. Our taste in color, style & pattern changed dramatically during the sampling process & Steve could not have been patient with us. After 3 rounds of samples, we made a definitive choice only to learn the carpet we chose was discontinued. Unfazed by that Steve found us enough of the discontinued carpet to complete the job. He & his installation crew showed up exactly when promised. They could not have been nicer, even though they had to move some pretty heavy furniture to clear the room. The job took exactly as long as Steve predicted, & it could not have gone better.

Steve is fantastic, accommodating, and so easy to work with. I wanted to get my daughter’s bedroom ready before she came home to visit from college, and he was able to fit my project in between jobs. Best of all, my new floor is beautiful! If I need more flooring work done, now I know who to call. A convenient and seamless experience. I highly, highly recommend!!!

We had a great experience working with Floor Coverings International to have the flooring replaced at the animal hospital I manage. Steve was wonderful to work with from start to finish and communication was great throughout the process. The installation team was able to accommodate installation over nights and weekends, which allowed us to remain open during normal hours to see patients. Steve Terhune’s approach is exactly what I needed when our family needed to replace carpet in our kid’s rooms. I thought I wanted plush super thick carpet, and Steve consulted with me on the benefits and trade offs of that choice; and the choices to come. He understood what it’s like to have younger kids and the potential mess of an aging dog. Because of Steve’s perspective, we ended up choosing a less expensive and easier to clean material than we were initially considering. Put another way, Steve recommended we spend LESS money to get a material better suited for our needs. Who does that?

Steve came to our home in his mobile show room with hundreds of samples to look at, and even more colors to consider. We were able to see the samples under various lighting conditions in the rooms that would be carpeted. It was the most confident we had ever been in choosing a company and product to improve our home.

He worked with us on an install date and when the day came, the installation staff were professional, respectful of our property, and had an eye for detail - I know there are seams where the carpet pieces meet …somewhere, but I can’t see them. So awesome!

Floor Coverings International recently sanded and refinished the hardwood floors in our house, along with repairing a number of spots that had been damaged over the years. We were out of the country while the work was being done.

When we got home from our trip I can't tell you how amazed we were at the quality of the work. We had seen photos but they simply couldn't convey how nice the floors look.

Steve and his team did top-notch work. You can't tell where they patched the floors at all. The sanding and refinishing work was also flawless. Their customer service was great as well, supporting us every step of the way from picking out stains to preparing for the work to be done, to following-up to make sure the work was done to our satisfaction.

My first call was pleasant with the secretary who set me up with an appointment with the owner, who showed up on time and did an excellent job communicating throughout the entire process and who gave a fair price The installer was also very professional and did an excellent job in following our wishes in a timely manner. I am so happy we went with this company and highly recommend them. They were very professional and seemed genuinely interested in doing things the way we wanted them. Excellent finished product - a renewed pine floor with a clear, protective sealant. The team was diligent in their work and careful to leave no trace of their work except the finished floor.

We hired Steve @ FCI to refinish our hardwood floors. Steve and Manny were great to work with from the very beginning. We were able to set up an appointment quickly to walk the space and create a quote. Steve and Manny were very knowledgeable about the process. We wanted a unique finish and Steve was able to bring by a few samples for us to look at. During the project the team was great. They were especially flexible on the scope when we discovered a potential issue with the subfloor and needed to troubleshoot. Despite the additional work, Manny kept on schedule and Steve kept the cost down. The finished product is flawless and the price was competitive against the other quotes I got. Seacoast NH FloorCo

From the beginning to the end, our project of removing second floor rugs, replacing them with Luxury Vinyl Planking (LVP), and having our first floor wide pine boards sanded, stained and applied with four coats of water-based polyurethane, went like clockwork. To be precise, the entire job was completed in four days!!

We took a long time to convince ourselves that LVP was the correct choice for us, our cat and two dogs, and now, seeing it, walking on it in bare feet (It is quiet, soft and one can feel the ‘grain’), we are so happy that we made this choice. Of course, it being waterproof, repairable and more durable than hardwood, makes it even more attractive.

The pine floors had not been refinished since ’95, and German Shepherd claws had wreaked their havoc, but the floors came out absolutely pristine. The stain we chose highlights the grain, and allows, for example, the red heartwood, to come through beautifully. Steve, the company’s owner, arranged for the refinisher to stain three pine board samples, in order to help us choose our stain.

Steve made this whole process flow smoothly. Whether answering our plethora of calls, emails or texts, he answered our questions promptly after doing the research necessary regarding the companies’ products that we would be purchasing. A request for actual LVP samples was answered in a few days.

Steve was extremely patient with us and explained things clearly, all the while asking us to consider this or that. Having options certainly helped our decision-making process. And his pricing easily beat the area’s other top flooring companies’ prices.

The crew who did our floors really knew their craft, and how to solve any problems they encountered. They cleaned up the area nicely after each day’s long hours, and were very open to answering our questions. It is obvious that they take great pride in their workmanship.

We are super pleased with the work done by Steve and his team. Our stair carpeting was in sad shape. Steve helped us pick out something that looks great and will be durable for all the foot traffic our carpet gets. His installers did great work and were fun to interact with. When they pulled up our old carpeting, they noticed the padding underneath was still in great shape, so they reused it and saved us the extra money we would have spent on that.
