Very thorough, caring & best of all a great listener! I had been diagnosed with IBS 11 years ago (by a general practitioner), As symptoms have gotten worse over the years I would go back in only to be put on yet another medication & quickly shuffled back out the door. This year has been horrible with what I thought was IBS symptoms & none of the medications they had me on were doing a thing to relieve my symptoms. I was to the point where I could barely function both physically & emotionally . I asked to be referred to Dr Brannen. The first visit he REALLY listened to me & said he thought it might be something else other than IBS but it would require taking tissue samples from my stomach & intestines to confirm.. Scheduled me for an upper & lower scope for a few weeks later. Turns out he was 100% correct in his speculation & I am now on a treatment plan to hopefully put what I do have in remission. While I have complete respect for general practice Dr's. if you have digestive issues this is the Dr to see!

Professional, yes..thorough, yes....but he is also friendly, easy to talk to, actually shows that he cares about what you have to say and what you are feeling, his demeanor instantly puts you at ease. I moved here from another state and the gastroenterologist I had in that state was quite rude, stand-offish, would NOT listen to anything you had to say and blamed EVERYTHING on your diet.....Dr. Brannen was/is a breath of fresh air.....I HIGHLY recommend for any/all.

5 year survivor T3N1M0 adenocarcinona esophageal cancer. This man and his team made the diagnosis and referred treatment. I recieved biopsy results NEXT MORNING after the scope. Thank you Dr. Brannen.

n my first and last appointment, the only thing he did was recite verbatim what my last GI Doc’s report said. He didn’t tell me anything I didn’t already know. He did not ask any questions about my current condition and if he did he would not have made a treatment plan. He is nothing more than a Wal-Mart greater of medicine.
