Best salon experience of my life. Claudia is amazing and so talented! I will never go anywhere else again. 100 stars!!!! I am in love with my hair!!!

I have been trusting Claudia with my hair for years! I’ve made changes that she went right along with, and coached me on others I was considering. No matter which scenario it was I always felt great when I left and got lots of compliments. In fact, she is the only hairdresser extraordinaire that I am guaranteed at least one compliment after an appointment. She is honest, supportive, direct, and kind. She is extremely talented and studied under the greatest masters in Europe and in America.

What I love most about Claudia is that she is her own person and loves who she is. She is truly one of a kind and I just adore her.

Jennifer is an amazing stylist! I cannot recommend her enough. I came to her with a botched hair style (long layers) that were very uneven. She fixed it right up. I have very thick and wavy hair that most stylist have gotten lost in while cutting. Jennifer was meticulous in fixing the mistakes but also giving me a super cute, stylish hair cut that I have gotten a lot of compliments on. I will be back to see her! Go see her! You will leave feeling more beautiful than when you came in:)

My wife cut my hair for 24 years. Since she got cancer and is unable to cut my hair anymore I tried a couple of places like MT. Jenny is great and does a great job. She is very Friendly and does a great job. I'll continue to come back and refer anybody who's looking for a great stylist. 👍

Sorry it’s a lil long but I have to say this…
I have been seeing Claudia for some years and I always had this one girl, no issues but one day she completely ruined my hair by doing the color wrong and I had a huge “date” the next day! My husband said honey call her she’ll fix it. Well I hate to complain but I’m so glad I went back because I came out of that place bangin!! My hair never looked so cute! She said, “if you don’t say anything then how am I supposed to know so I can fix it!” You do have a point! Her work is guaranteed!! You can’t lose!!
Plus She is such a beautiful woman inside and out and hyper like me!! Although I think she’s got me beat. She’s just a neat human! She used to model back in the day for Paul Mitchell so she’s all about anything cosmetic!
She’s very fun to talk to! Steve is her right hand man…literally! Those 2 work so good together! Claudia will start to say, “ok Steve” he says put her in the sink to rinse…are you glazing her? 😂 it’s an awesome time!! I love going there because it’s a comfortable room! I like it better than a big salon because they cater to only You and it’s s comfortable atmosphere! You don’t have to worry about talking loud because it’s just y’all like I feel like I’m in my neighbors kitchen! Lol who doesn’t love to conjure in the kitchen?
Just be yourself there, very relaxing! Her place is always very clean….thank you Steve you do an awesome job! Also, she is the one that taught me that you get what you pay for. Amen to that!! 🙏🏻
As far as haircuts? I’ve never known anyone that can thin hair out with regular scissors! She has this thing with hair and she should rename her salon,
“THE HAIR WISPERER” it fits trust me!

No, she did not pay me to say this. Everything I’ve said is true, go and find out for yourself! You won’t be sorry!! That’s why I get excited about telling people about something that’s really good and outstanding service because I want the good ones to get the business and I want my friends to get the best service! Does that make sense?
You know the 2 black sheep of the family that you only see once in awhile? It’s kinda like that. You kinda dread going if you have a long service and especially me sitting for a long time but when you leave you’re so glad you came because you laughed a lot and They made you feel special! That’s what great service is all about! It’s hard to come by nowadays!

Jenny is such a gem! I had a strong case of red hair that had damaged my hair a lot. She was willing to work with me to achieve a natural caramel balayage. She blended the hair so well to the point where you can’t tell that I had red done previously! If you’re looking for a new stylist she’s the one to go to forsure :)!

Claude Thomas is one of the most professional salon I have ever been to. The staff is very welcoming and works with whatever needs you have. I enjoy the hospitality with the offers of water, coffee or wine! I have became a regular customer with one of the best stylist Kaylee. She has such a upbeat personality and really knows how to do hair! I have very coarse, thick hair and she is one of the only people I trust now to do my hair ! Also, the music choice is superb, it makes the salon have a very trendy atmosphere. 10/10 I wish I could put more stars !

I previously had a bad experience at a different salon, and had no hope for my hair.. until I met Kaylee, a stylist at Claude and Thomas. She took the time to explain my options and thoroughly explain how long each process would take, so I’d have a better understanding..
I showed her a picture of how I wanted my hair— colored and keratin treatment, and she did it EXACTLY how I wanted it. I’m so happy and thrilled to establish my future appointments at this salon. The inside of the salon is so clean and beautiful, all of the staff is extremely friendly. All around a wonderful experience. I left happy, and was provided great service. Definitely would recommend this salon.

I highly recommend Claudia Tapp, hairstylist and salon owner. She is very creative and professional. I have wavy hair that is highly affected by humidity. My hair has been cut in various styles, highlighted and colored, as well as, straightened using a Japanese straightening technique. She has individualized my color at her unique mixing "Color Bar" and mixes deep condition solutions pending the condition of my hair. I have always been happy with the results! My husband also goes to Claudia for his hair and beard trimming and is equally pleased. Kristin is excellent at shaping my eyebrows as well. All the salon staff seem highly trained and friendly!

Claudia is amazing. I have been going to her for over 20 years. She is current with the latest styles. I trust her completely. She is kind and makes my hair look fabulous. I love her salon.

Claudia is a truly talented stylist/owner and a warm, friendly person. Great colorist. Provides everything from various hair extension applications to replacement hair pieces. Really exceptional. Staff is always helpful. Shop is big & always immaculate. Just a great salon!!

I had the most wonderful experience here yesterday. Jenny was extremely knowledgeable and patient. She took the time to ask me a lot of questions to really understand my hair as well as what I wanted. We went with highlights and lowlights to hide the grey and I couldn't be happier. I will definitely be coming back. The entire staff was super nice.

I had a wonderful experience withJenny! She literally saved my hair from the disaster it was at the hands of my former stylist. She is professional and really listens to what you want done. I would recommend her for color, extensions and cuts!! She is the best!

Where do I even begin?! I am absolutely inlove with my hair now.

I called them earlier in the week to see what their availability was and to discus with them the problems I was having. During the week they kept in touch with me, asking questions and getting pictures. You see I had a HUGE problem, I went to a different salon 3 weeks prior. A top notch highly rated and expensive salon to treat myself and they did such a bad job a blind person would've noticed! It was traumatizing to say the least.

Jennifer was absolutely AMAZING. Like, she not only did what I wanted done to my hair which wasn't that hard to begin with, she had like a thousand corrections to make as she couldn't bleach over already bleached hair and there was this big thick red streak going around my head(mistake by other salon) she had to get out. It was a disaster. I honestly couldn't be more pleased. I love how my hair looks!

The whole experience was amazing. From the research and time they took the days prior to make sure they could help, to the second I left they made me feel like a freaking celebrity. Claudia and Jennifer are so personable when I looked at the clock I couldn't believe I had been there for that long. Great vibes!

As for Covid-19 I felt very safe. My temperature was taken upon arrival and they asked I use hand sanitizer before even coming back everyone had on masks and I had the place to myself practically, until it was time to leave and the next clients came in.

With everything that Jennifer had to fix and all the extra time spent on detail this should've cost way more than the $300 that the other salon cost (Andreas Hogue) but it was 2/3 that! Like I said I couldn't be happier and found my new forever salon, I wish I had found this place sooner! 5*

My daughter and I (and occasionally my son when I can drag him through the door) have been going to Claude Thomas for approximately 10 years. We settled on this salon after having tried several - which failed to satisfy, much less thrill us -- in the Barrington, Lake Zurich and Palatine areas. My daughter and I see Claude. We have always been absolutely delighted with her fabulous, highly creative designs of colours and cuts. (I say this as someone who needs every technique known to man to keep my hair looking its best). We both have base colour and extensive highlighting. The results are brilliant, and we receive numerous compliments -- even from passersby on the street. We have come to trust her expertise and exquisite taste to the point that we just say, "do whatever you think".

My son has also been completely satisfied with Lauren's interpretations of what he would like done - which Lauren has to tactfully pry out of him, one monosyllable at a time. His hair always looks healthy, glossy and beautifully cut.

I also see Kristen for various skin rejuvenation treatments. What Claude Thomas offers is always at the forefront of skin and beauty enhancement, and Kristen is always completely up-to-date and expert with the latest treatments and methodologies.

The entire staff is focused on creating a warm, friendly environment and an excellent customer experience from the moment a client walks in the door. As a business consultant I can say this organization is one of the few I encounter that truly lives its mission.

probably the most trustworthy salon for hair cut around here, she's really sweet and listens to what you really want. very professional and the charges are very fair! definitely coming back!

Jenny is fantastic! I went to her with badly damaged/broken hair and she was able to breathe new life into it with just a haircut and saved a bit of length too. I have never had a bad experience here
