Huntsville Hospital

Nice hospital and nice staff. Visitation is very accommodating per the situation. The ICU waiting room is very accommodating and comfortable. It has a snack area and reclinable chairs lined around the wall. Most comfortable waiting room I ever seen.
The area around the hospital campus is safe. There's very few homeless or random people hanging out. I walked two blocks and didn't feel like I was in danger of being harassed or panhandled.

The staff at the Heart Institute was excellent, very professional and prompt. I had a procedure that needed me to stay a few hours and felt they took great care of me. The only down side was I was given a no salt diet when I am not restricted of sodium, I ate it because I was hungry but did not enjoy it.

I’ve made more trips to Huntsville Hospital and the Heart Center than I care to admit, but each and every time I am impressed with the courtesy and professionalism of the staff. Everyone from the orderlies to the surgeons show respect and concern for your feelings and needs. The facilities are first-rate. I am grateful for the life-giving support and care I have received.

Everyone treated me with great service and polite and generous wherever possible. Though the timing on the ER was kind of sluggish, it was understandable due to being packed and how many people they had to see and diagnose problems. I was treated with awesome hospitality by all my nurses and on site doctors so far!

I had a procedure done yesterday at Huntsville Hospital Main for a pacemaker. It was one of the scariest days of my life. But the staff was awesome. My nurse Don - he was so kind , patience & caring with me. Dr. Dinerman - Cardiologist that did my procedure & his staff were amazing. I’m blessed & grateful for the support that was shown and given towards me and that I woke up on this side of heaven. May God continue to bless the staff at Huntsville Hospital Main and all those that truly care about their patients.

Every single person I encountered was kind, professional, and went above and beyond to take care of me. I actually didnt even want to leave! My anxiety was through the roof, and the entire staff did everything they could to ease that. Dr. Banks is phenomenal and I cant thank him and all the nurses enough.

Huntsville Hospital has been a blessing to me. The nurses and doctors ( with one exception- sorry to say that) that treated me when I had my car wreck nearly three years ago were awesome. I have had great experiences each time I have been there and it was a very good experience yesterday( 3/13/24)as well. Thank you to the nurses that watched after me and to Dr. John Jennings. (You are awesome!! AS ALWAYS) 😊

My nurse Katherine in the Cath Lab was so amazing. She always told me what she was going to do and always asked if I needed anything. Dr.Green was great putting in the heart stent. She kept me calm and at ease. She was very nice and professional. The staff was also helpful.

I absolutely love this hospital, everyone was so friendly and extremely efficient. Dr. Banks is amazing and goes over and above with his ability and made me feel totally confident with him doing my surgery. It is over an hour away from my home and worth every minute of the ride. I was in the cardiac unit. I was impressed with all staff and the professional way everything was handled. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, organized and accommodating to my needs. Over all it was a good experience and I'm thankful to have been there among caring people. It was a night and day difference from the procedure I had 11 years ago in another state. They have renewed my faith in hospitals and doctors, and that I don't need to dread and put off what needs to be done in the future. I will always recommend this hospital with such personable, qualified doctors and staff.

I recently took an individual that lives in a group home I supervise and she has intellectual disabilities. It can be challenging to take her for even simple procedures. However, this experience was amazing starting with the lady that was in admissions when I went to the wrong area, to the gentleman that took us to the right place, and I definitely want to recognize her nurse Darcy and Jeff !!! They were so accommodating and caring and I was amazed at the level of care we received. At no point did I feel like we were a burden or too much or anything negative. Huge shout out to those people that treated us so well

My experience at Huntsville Hospital was amazing. The doctors and nurses were very hospitable. They communicated very clearly about my procedure and the expectations of each step. The RN who took care of me during recovery left me with a thoughtful card enclosed in my folder of instructions. Who could ask for any better treatment than what was offered to me at Huntsville Hospital! I would definitely recommend this hospital to anyone who’s in need.

I just had surgery on my kidney for Cancer. It was the best surgery Doctor Ryan Black did amazing job. The staff goes over and beyond to make you comfortable. Thank you Huntsville Hospital for everything. Your staff is over the moon the best! I've had 12 surgeries in 5 years and this hospital it the best and staff!

From the ER to my short stay in the hospital the doctors and nurses were so friendly and professional. They kept me informed on what was going on as far as test and medication. The nurses are first rate they are so knowledgeable and helpful and they take pride in their job. They go the extra mile to explain the different medicines and procedures.

My experience was wonderful beginning to end. Put the ER team through their paces with heart issues. The team on the 3rd floor did a great job keeping me comfortable, well informed and were on top of every event. What a blessing they were. Have a pacemaker now and all went well also.

I had a surgical procedure done. The nurses who were tasked with getting me ready were the absolute best I have ever had . They were so pleasant and made me so comfortable. My anxiety and stress I may have had just melted away. They made my day for sure. Then in recovery, the wonderful nurse I had was so attentive and caring that I hated leaving. I SO WISH that hospitals I've had to be in would take a lesson from Huntsville hospital.

We arrived at the lobby of the hospital and went to the security desk and I Told the officer that I was having shortness of breath and blood pressure problems. He immediately put me and my wife in wheelchairs and were taken to ER. This was the beginning of a great experience with Huntsville Hospital. I was admitted and was there for five days and received wonderful care. All employees were great. I wish to recognize Nurse Anna Banana as she is called going beyond the call of duty in carrying for me. I also want thank my niece, a Nurse antithesis , Lyndsay Waggoner for care and checking on me.

The overall staff of the hospital were amazing! Thank you all for saving my life. They listen to what I said was going on with me and found the issues and help me get back on track. Thank you all at Huntsville Hospital.

We spent the whole day at the hospital having multiple tests run on my heart to isolate issues I have been dealing with. From the moment we checked in at 6:45 until checkout at 18:00 we were treated with utmost respect and kept well informed each step of the way - we had someone looking out for us through each step of the process. At the end of the day they isolated my issues and have put me on the path to getting the help I need to resolve my problem - mitral valve repair or replacement. Kudos and our deep appreciation to the whole staff that looked after us.

Wonderful nursing staff for my ablation yesterday. My attending nurse Lora (hope I spelled that correctly) was very attentive and did an outstanding job. All the surgical staff reassured me everything would be fine and they would take good care of me. Last but not least can’t say enough good things about Dr. Jennings. Wonderful heart Dr.
