Bush's Diner

Wife and I went there yesterday for Breakfast. Very country feel with great food and service. Would definitely recommend over the chain restaurants in the area.

Here's the thing;No one expects Incredible food in a little place, in a town we had never heard of before (until we googled Casinos in Alabama) in a building that is clearly a former Waffle House or huddle house [my husband & I are still debating this one] This IS that Surprise, and a wonderful one at that.

We looked up on Google places to get breakfast and Bush's was on the list. To be completely honest, we pulled in Waffle Houses parking lot first but it was to packed and my guys lack patience.

The Precious Ladies,who are Extraordinary Servers, greeted us the moment we walked in. Our drinks were brought out quickly (excellent cup of coffee) and orders taken promptly.

Now...I could run on way to long about the "family feel", great music in the background and efficiency of everyone there,But ...I want to tell you that the Omlettes were a "change your life" experience. [I had the Vegetarian and my Daughter & Dad had the Western] Fluffy, Filled and absolutely Perfect.
I, seriously, can't wait until we go back to Wetumpka Alabama just so I can go back to Bush's for Breakfast! A Gazillion Star rating from our family.

My 1st visit to Bush's Diner, I got an awesome/very tasty cheeseburger, crinkle cut french fries (always better than the straight version Imho) & ice cold/perfect sweet tea! The server was very nice & made sure we had everything we needed. Will definitely visit again soon!🤩

Stopped for breakfast and it was very good. Bush's Diner is very much like a Waffle House or Huddle House. I think the building used to be the Huddle House before they relocated. Bush's offer breakfast or lunch at any time. For beakfast they offer various plates with typical egg, waffle,etc. Plus sides. For lunch they also have sandwiches, burgers, and food baskets. And they offer desserts too. The staff was friendly and efficient. Jaime was a fantastic server, often checking up on me. Their health score was 98. And their hours are 6am to 3pm per Google and they are closed Sunday and Monday.

What a wonderful find this morning! We were exploring the area after a visit to Montgomery and we wanted to find a place for breakfast. After we searched for local restaurants, we decided to stop at Bush's Diner and we are very happy that we did.

We enjoyed a 2 egg breakfast plate with sausage, hash browns and biscuits. The coffee was delicious and the food was some of the best that we've ever had. We were surrounded by some great local folks and it seemed to me that they really like Bush's Diner too.

The waitresses were fantastic and so nice as well as attentive and quick with the coffee. The food came out quickly and was fresh and hot.

I've marked Bush's Diner as a favorite of mine and I think that you should too. We're looking forward to our next trip when we try the lunch plates.

The food was absolutely fantastic. Price was very fair. We eat at the diner every once in a while, today the food was fantastic!! the quality, As you can see in there photo I took. That's a meal!!

The food was super great. I got the waffle plate. The restaurant was very clean and a little bigger than I thought.

I grew up with 24 hour family run diners and have missed that kind of food since I came to Alabama. Heard from a friend that this place did a great hamburger steak, so I decided to try it out. They serve the hamburger steak either as a breakfast, with eggs and hash browns or grits, or as a dinner with 2 sides. The steak comes with grilled onions, mushrooms and brown gravy. I got mashed potatoes and a salad as my sides. Both were good sized portions. You'll definitely not leave hungry. The steak was exactly what I was missing. The potatoes and the gravy were both instant, but still good. As I work nights, a definitely appreciated being able to get dinner at 0630. Prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get.

We ate breakfast at Bush's and it was great home cooking. The grits was hot, I had the bacon omelet it was huge. We were stuffed. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. I recommend this place for a great breakfast.

Love, love, love Bushes and that cute little waitress, Jaime. She's great, Boss is great and it's a very homey place to go and eat and just chill out and be yourself. The whole place is just a comfortable place to be.

While traveling to Florida I stopped at this restaurant for lunch. I could tell that the building had been there a long time. The restaurant was clean and the staff was very friendly. The food was delicious. The ingredients tasted fresh. I'm glad I stopped here.

Don't have anything bad to say. They're understaffed, as is every other place, but the service was great. Tea was never empty. The food was excellent and was served for 5 people all together. The 1 and 3 was priced just right.

This place is perfect. Great food, great service, great environment. Cheeseburgers are class.

They have corn nuggets!!! We try to eat local wherever we go, so we actively seek out small restaurants. When I tell you this was good - this big girl has already discussed plans to drive the hour and 40 minutes again next Saturday to eat lunch. Put on your list. They are closed Sunday and Monday.

The food is amazing! You definitely get your money's worth here. Even despite the low staff numbers, the food came out in excellent time. Keep up the great work!

Bush's diner is the "only" restaraunt worth going to for breakfast. I haven't been there for lunch. However, my wife and I go for breakfast a few times a month. Consistent food, staff is awesome and owner is fantastic with reasonable prices.

I had the country ham breakfast plate. I asked for my eggs to be cooked “over medium” and they were PERFECT. The country ham was — well I could have just skipped the eggs and grits. A HUGE slice of ham, very tasty.

I can’t believe I ignored this place for so long! It sits where the Huddle House used to be and I guess I just thought of it as a huddle house with a new name. WRONG!! Bush’s Diner is my new “go to” place for breakfast in my home town of Wetumpka.

I’ll try it for lunch one day soon. I could do it today, but I won’t be hungry for lunch today.
