Cajun Steamer Bar & Grill

My husband and I was looking to eat somewhere different and ended up at this place in Huntsville, AL and I must say it was worth the pick! The appetizers, entree, and drinks were great! We had fried boudin balls and char-grilled oysters for appetizers. I had the redfish Rockefeller (highly recommend) and my husband had the catfish Pontchartrain both dishes were excellent and seasoned well. Our server was very attentive and the atmosphere is laid back. This is a must try spot in Huntsville! You will not be disappointed 😁

Tried for the first time and it was excellent! Atmosphere was friendly, server was attentive and answered our questions and of course you can’t forget the food- amazing! Can’t wait to go back!

The food was very flavorful, the staff was prompt and very attentive. We went during lunch, it was laid back. I will definitely be back.

The food was absolutely AMAZING! we had the seafood dip to share for the table, and it was so creamy and flavorful. I did have to ask for more bread chip things twice because there was that much dip! I ordered the Pastalaya- which had shrimp and chicken. It wasn't overcooked, and the flavors really blended well. The spice to it was enough to give a kick and not overwhelm me w heat that I enjoyed every bite!
My boyfriend ordered the fire shrimp tacos! The amount of shrimp was impressive, and again, the spice was delicious (he let me have one of the 3 tacos).
My sister ordered the chicken Alfredo and the chicken and a nice grilled flavor. That portion was also pretty hefty, and the sauce was very creamy!
I recommend this place 100% and will be going here on the regular!

There was a bit of miscommunication on who our server was, but it turned out OK. My party and I watched another table (party of 2) sit down after us and ate and left before us. It did get a little busy, so a little delay was expected.

I love dining here. The crawfish enchiladas are my favorite! Dining in is nice, I’ve dined at the bar a time or two which is nice , but my favorite place to eat is outside on the patio. When the weather is right, it’s an experience you won’t forget. The food is rich so don’t eat too much if you have a lot on your agenda but you won’t find a Cajun meal like this anywhere else. It’s always great. The chefs are great and the staff is always friendly. The cocktails are good. There are many menu options. The restaurant is always clean. Overall good experience.

This is a popular spot and yet we sat down immediately. We had the Blue Crab Claws for appetizers, the Voodoo Chicken, and Fried Cheesecake/Beignets with carmel sauce for dessert. It was delicious!!! The service was GREAT! The Manger was playing with my granddaughter. She said, "I want to move to Alabama because the people here are silly!" We enjoyed our meal and the people. Thank you.

Fantastic service at the CS bar from Stephanie tonight. Very attentive, outgoing and outstanding knowledge of the menu. Also speaks fluent Spanish, which is super helpful. She also made some great food recommendations and everything was absolutely fantastic! I will def be back! Highly recommend. Amar.

I hadn't been to Cajun Steamer in years but I remembered it being good so we went back recently and I'm glad to say the food is still really delicious. The service was really slow though, unfortunately but it was also pretty busy. The service had me worried that the foot wouldn't be good but I'm glad to say it was delicious. I got the shrimp poboy. All of it was very good. Hit the po boy spot.

I want to brag on our waitress Stephanie! She is amazing. Was very attentive and knew the menu well. This was our second time there and wanted to try something new. Stephanie was very helpful with helping us decide. We will definitely be coming back and can’t wait to try the other food on the menu. Food is great. We had voodoo chicken on mashed potatoes fried shrimp. First time we went we had fried seafood for two. With seafood queso dip. The red beans and rice is amazing. Great job. Nice to find a good local restaurant in Huntsville that’s consistent and hospitable. We will be back.

From the Louisiana Style theme to the food and the music this place is overall amazing for my first time. The beignets were to die for the music is amazing the food was the perfect ending overall a 10/10 place.

This place is simply amazing. The menu was fabulously put together and it was really refreshing. They had both indoor and outdoor seating. Finding a place to park can be difficult due to its location alongside other restaurants and shops.the service was great, the people were friendly and the food was quick! Will be back for more as their menu had so many great options that it was difficult to choose.

This was my first time visiting Cajun Steamer Bar & Grill but it definitely won't be my last. The food was delicious, service was great and the atmosphere was great. My family and I really did enjoy ourselves.

Wife and I wanted to try something new to us, so we decided to go here and it was so worth the trip. We got the fire cracker shrimp as a starter ( it was great) I ordered the voodoo burger ( definitely one of the best burgers I’ve had) she got the chicken tender only sandwhich with a side of fried green tomatoes( she said both was really good) and to end we got the cheesecake desert they had, I’m not a big fan of cheese cake to start with ( but that was one of the best deserts we’ve ever had). Waitresses was absolutely awesome and respectful. I recommend this place 10/10 without a doubt.

This was my first time here and everything was amazing! We went around lunch time and were seated quickly. Our server was so friendly and helpful. I got the Cajun Mac and cheese. My friend got the Redfish Rockefeller and they were both delicious. I would 100% go back again!

Very delicious nawlins style eatery. Waitress was very friendly and fast, Consistently checking up on us. What I ordered as pictured was the redfish with shrimp and mashed potatoes. Pastalaya, fried boudin, fire shrimp and bread pudding with ice cream. Everything was seasoned well and tasted top notch. Will definitely visit again if I'm ever back in Huntsville, Alabama. This pace is definitely a gem and worth a try. Good food good staff.

4/14 : Still awesome! The fries are the sbsolute best!
Update: Went for second meal 11/3: Food not as good. Salty Jambalaya, extremely greasy fries. Not sure what happened. Very nice and professional staff. I'll try again before lowering rating - new chef? The Catfish and Shrimp plate was outside the norm - very, very good! A little spicy but definitely Cajun. Chicken and waffles also good - surprisingly and reasonably priced. Welcoming atmosphere. Our server was exceptionally kind and attentive.

Everything I have eaten here has been amazing! So very delicious.

Update 1/19/2024:
Today I took my wife here again. We have been here about 7 or 8 times. Every time we have had amazing food. This time though, my food was "off" tasting. I have had this dish several times and could tell it was not the same somehow. I ate it anyways, not a big deal. Also, my wife's pasta and shrimp was cold. The waitress was very polite and had them remake her pasta. The second one was piping hot and delicious. So, this restaurant is still one of our favorite restaurants, but it had an off day today. Still amazing food and staff.

The oysters were amazing. So fresh and delicious. The blackened red fish over coconut rice topped with mango salsa with asparagus was phenomenal, only problem was I wanted to keep eating it once it was gone! The gumbo was FANTASTIC! Will absolutely be back whenever I’m in the area! Service was also stellar, Kelsey did an absolutely fantastic job. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a delicious meal in the area.

Came back the next day to try more and tried the grilled gator bites and got the Creole blackened ribeye with blackened shrimp. The gator bites were tender and juicy, delicious. The ribeye actually blew me away! It was seasoned magnificently and grilled to a PERFECT medium rare. Insanely juicy and so tender, I couldn’t eat it fast enough. The shrimp did not disappoint either. Seems everything here is delicious. Had Kelsey take care of me again, and she was equally as good the second time around. Don’t miss out on Cajun Steamer when you’re in the area! Highly recommend.

The atmosphere was wonderful. The staff was wonderful. We got our food hot, fresh, and pretty quickly. We ordered calamari, raw oysters, a side salad, fried okra, and boudin. Our drinks stayed full. The waitress was super attentive to us. We had so much food, we most definitely took the rest home for later.

Large group lunch and we had excellent service. Everyone enjoyed their food choices. Mine was exceptional! I had the Redfish Rockefeller. I couldn't stop eating it even though I was full. It was just that good! New favorite dining location!!
