Dr Kniffin has been our Vet 4 over 18 years we are truly blessed with a knowledgeable man and not 2 mention he has an excellent staff that work well as a team I wouldn’t trade them 4 the world He is always there 4 each one of my dogs if it’s an emergency he is always good about accommodating his schedule. He truly cares 4 each one of my animals whether big or small. I honestly believe I hit the jackpot with this clinic

Best vet I have ever visited and will continue to always take my pets to. The only doctor to call and check on our pets without need just because he cares. Is always honest and forthright and tells you exactly what your animal needs..not what you want to hear.

Dr. Kniffin and Mary very clearly care deeply for their patients. They're incredibly kind and gentle with my cats. One of my cats does not do well with strangers, but they were able to put her at ease during her appointment (as much as a cat at the vet ever will be at ease).

Dr. Kniffin always takes the time to explain everything clearly and ensures that we understand, as well as answering any questions we have. The quality of care is fantastic, and the prices are reasonable. They're very professional and they always follow-up with me promptly. When I've needed an urgent appointment, they manage to squeeze me in and I've never had to wait for very long in the waiting room or exam room. I've recently moved further away from his office, but will continue to make the longer drive here to ensure my pets get the best of care.

Brought my cat in for an evaluation of a bump and with the treatment doctor Kniffin gave us it went away! He’s a very serious man and takes his patients care seriously. His wife is a sweetheart and together they run a quality and reasonably affordable vet clinic. I will return when my cat has more acute needs but on our last visit I didn’t receive the evaluation I requested for his insurance so I had to get one from a clinic closer to home.

I have trusted this man with our pups for well over 12 years. Ive moved to waco and back and when I came back I trusted him with my shepherd Luna. Its now time to put her down and I appreciate how he referred her to a specialist before helping me make the ultimate decision. I appreciate that he gives you the facts. Doesn't sugar coat anything. If you need to take better care of your dog, he will be the first to let you know. He truly cares about these animals as if they were his own. He takes the TIME to explain EVERYTHING in great detail and answers all of your questions. He is there to do a job and he does it with much care and concern. Thank you for allowing me to trust you all these years.

I have been taking my dog here for a little over six months now, as he started having some dental needs. The staff was very kind and patient with my pup and when discussing what was needed done with Rocky's teeth, Dr. Kniffin was very informative on the whole process. The people here truly care about animals and making sure they get the treatment they need.

Dr Kniffin has been my veterinarian since 1997. He and his staff are fun and very caring. His professionalism and dedication to the care of animals has far surpassed any experience I had prior to going to the Highway 79 animal clinic. I highly recommend going here for the care of your pets.

Dr. Kniffin has always taken great care of our pets. He may not be very talkative but he knows his stuff and always suggests what's best for the animals

I have used Highway 79 since 2003. My goodness that's 15 years! I was accustomed to big city vets from Dallas. Dr. Kniffen is the best. He has accommodated the death of both of my girls since moving to Round Rock. I will not use another vet!

Dr. Kniffin and his staff have been our vet for 5 yrs this month. First was Buddy, our Weimaraner, who is 5 yrs old. Dr. Kniffin was so kind and gentle. Great bedside manner! We also have 2 cats and he has wonderful with them! We wouldn't take our pets to anyone else.

Dr. Kniffin has been our vet since we got Luke, (Pomeranian) as a puppy. It’s been a little over a year now. When Luke was around 6 months, he was attacked by a big dog and hurt pretty badly. We had to take him to the animal ER the doc told us about, wait a couple of days and then take him to our vet. Dr. Kniffin performed surgery on Luke and taught us how to care for Luke while he recovered. His wife works with him and is not only knowledgeable, but also kind and patient. There is no doubt, Luke could have died, but because of the great care he received at HWY 71 Animal Clinic, and at home after we were carefully taught what to do, Luke is not only alive, but nobody can even tell what happened to him.

Besides the surgery, they take excellent routine care of Luke, and he is always happy to go there - for the medical care receives, is enhanced by a great show of affection.

I highly recommend the clinic.

I can't recommend Dr. Kniffin highly enough. We've taken two of our dogs here, and every experience we've had has been pleasant and surprisingly affordable (for a vet, mind you).

I will say that the the front desk, although good and far from incompetent, is not usually as warm/welcoming as other vets we've visited in the past. A person could get a similar vibe from Dr. Kniffin, depending on your interactions with him.

With that in mind, what has been consistent from the first time we've gone in is how knowledgeable and considerate Dr. Kniffin is. There have been TWO times that he recommended foregoing X-rays or more expensive testing for the time being, although many vets would have happily ordered diagnostics from the start, to see if the issue resolved on its own. It did on both occasions, and our visits were under $100 each time thanks to Dr. Kniffin being so mindful of his patients and their owners.

We've highly recommended Highway 79 Animal Clinic to many friends and neighbors in the area, and will continue taking our furry family members there as long as they keep this up.

Dr. Kniffin and his staff are a pleasure to work with. The service is great and they are so nice and welcoming.
