Star Discount Pharmacy - Bailey Cove

To all the people that say the employee's at star pharmacy are rude. Do you not realize how busy they are. You idiots that say that should look at their time line that shows their less busy time and go then. I have been going to star for years. They have always been very fast and nice.

I’ve been coming here for several years. I adore the sweet Indian woman at the drive up window. She’s very caring and I’m sure has to deal with a lot of rude people even though she won’t admit that to me. She’s caring and professional as is everyone who works here. I appreciate all of them for helping me safely obtain my medications when they’re needed. Much better than the “big” stores!

Outstanding pharmacy. No comparison to the personal service, quick response, little waiting time, refill reminders, and conscientious personnel compared to the large store operations that take hours to fill a prescription.

Star Pharmacy on Bailey Cove Road is the best pharmacy that I have used. The entire employee staff are not only knowlegable about medications, but strive to make sure that I understand about any medications that I am taking. Also, they take time to notify me if it's time to refill prescriptions. Not only are they very professional, but also kind and helpful. They work along side my doctors to make sure I receive the best care possible. I would recommend Star Pharmacy to anyone and I will continue to use them and no one else.

Moved to H'ville from a larger city, and I've always used the giant corporate nationwide pharmacies. After my first experience at Star Pharmacy, I realized how poor of service I've been receiving from the chain stores. Star Pharmacy surpasses all expectations! The staff is knowledgeable and customer service is outstanding. I've never waited more than 5 minutes for a same-trip drop-off/pick-up....and bonus points; the super friendly staff always remembers me. A+++

Today was my first time using this pharmacy. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and I will happily be back. Great facility to conduct business with and meet my needs. A++++

Great pharmacy, everybody who works at Star are not only professionals, but they care about people and are very nice. Most importantly; they are extremely fast at getting prescriptions filled. Usually you don't have to return a second time. As a businessman, who is short on time, I find this very beneficial.

I love that they are a genuinely caring and hard working staff. Taking on the daunting task of serving the public with the roll out of Covid vaccines, they treated everyone with the utmost respect, even though they had their hands full. Leigh was especially helpful, and everyone was so kind to my 4 year old who accompanied me. I just want to say thanks for the staff working so tirelessly to keep us safe.

I had used other pharmacies in Huntsville before Star Market moved into the old Bruno's on Bailey Cove. (Yep, this was ages ago!) I switched to the Star Pharmacy at that location and have never gone to another pharmacy in Huntsville since! Even when the Star Market left South Huntsville and the pharmacy moved down Bailey Cove to it's current location.

I can't fathom why anyone would not appreciate the personal service and knowledgeable staff at this drugstore. They have gone out of their way to save me money (signing me up for a free discount card from a drug company that I didn't know existed is just one example), save me time (yay for the drive thru), and even saved me a great deal of grief once by overnight shipping me a prescription I'd filled then accidentally left town before picking it up (so it had already been run through insurance, and I wouldn't want to go to a strange pharmacy out of town anyway).

If you need more convincing, why not read the reviews over on Google where this pharmacy has a much more appropriate 4 star rating!

I was a transplant from a Publix nearby. I'd had numerous bad experiences at Publix but my last straw was when they filled a prescription incorrectly, substituting my usual antihistamine for a very strong heart medicine. If I had taken this, I would be dead right now.

At the time I was filling one Rx at Star already, a med that insurance would not cover, and Star offered me an EXCELLENT cash price out the door, which they called a "friends and neighbors" price. (I knew it was because they were sensitive to my situation - I was and am extremely ill with a genetic disorder and multiple diaeases, all requiring many meds.)

When Publix made this nearly-deadly error it was the end for me. I switched to Star, and I have never looked back.

In the last 2 years I have gotten comprehensive, compassionate care at every interaction!!! It blows the doors off ANY pharmacy I have ever used before. The head pharmacist is named Krista. Despite being very busy, being very sick herself at one point, and so on, she's always made herself available to me when I say, "Hey I really need urgent help". I take MANY meds and there are times that interaction and safety questions just can't wait.

I eventually convinced my parents to come over to Star. When my mother had JUST come home from a knee replacement surgery last Spring, and her PCP had forgotten the Rx for her pain, I called Star in tears. They were on the phone with her doc getting it fixed and 10 min later called and said, "Your mom's med is ready."

How... HOW can you find care like this, in 2019, anywhere else?

If I want a recommendation for a specialist - I call and ask them.

If I need a med that's unusual or rarely used - they work hard to find it.

Prior authorization? No prob. They gotcha covered.

Compounded med? Yup. Most chains do no such thing.

If I'm worried about a side effect - I call.

If I need anything urgently, they understand my health situation is fragile and they take me seriously.

And I'm serious when I say I've never met anyone brighter than Krista. I call her "Research Girl". She digs deep. I have had an occasion where I could not isolate which med was causing an issue. She solved it!

My heart belongs to this pharmacy. I love them all. When I call, they recognize me by voice now! They are THE BEST. The best!!!! I can't even say enough good things.

Get all your prescriptions without the wait at Walgreens. Has a drive through too.

The staff is always extremely helpful each and every time I come in. There is very rarely a long wait for my prescriptions to be filled. Unless you like waiting 30 minutes to 45 minutes on your prescriptions, I would highly recommend this place.

Very pleasant, courteous, and helpful staff! They are always willing to special order special medicines that I need, and know me on a first name basis.

We have being using this location of Star Pharmacy since they opened. The staff have always been well informed & ready to answer any questions. I highly recommend this pharmacy!

Another Star location that is top-notch. Staff is great, the drop-off and pick-up tubes are always the fastest than anywhere else, and the prices are great. Being a Star customer for 3 years, I've had the most positive experiences ever since I refuse to return to those rude, pricey, non-emphathetic, greedy and powerhungry giant national chains like "b@llGr33n'$" or "Wr0ng-@id"-- "Rit3-AID($)" 😎😆😆😂 anyway.. yeah, I'd like to call out one reviewer, maybe two:

Every one of the pharmacists are very professional and pleasant to work with.

This pharmacy has been a life saver when matters were urgent and a neighborhood friend when we need a routine refill. I'm so glad we switched from the corporate option we were using.

Always friendly and fills my prescriptions extremely fast.
