DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Huntsville South

Although undergoing renovations ( as of Mar 2024) it is very clean, and comfortable. As we were coming in with the luggage we were discussing the possible location of the elevators. Without asking a staff member promptly stopped and pointed out where the elevator most convenient to our room was located. We are in a 2 room King. We will definitely make this our go to when coming back to Huntsville.

So before I made my reservation I read the reviews on this site and even though some of them were very alarming I decided to chance it and stay at the hotel anyway because it was close to the function that I was attending.
The hotel is under renovation but I honestly had a great stay. The staff was nice and the food in the restaurant was great and my room was very clean. I had a great stay.

The staff was super nice and friendly during Checkin and checkout. Bottles of water and warm cookies upon arrival which was a great amenity!! Comfy room. And best of all the hotel was not noisy at any point!

Wonderful front desk staff, the beds are amazing, the rooms are spacious, the bartender was wonderful. Breakfast was okay. We would definitely stay again!

Front staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and cleaning staff ensured all toiletries were stocked. Location wasnt too far from several good restaurants.

I love this hotel in the midst of the renovations the customer service in all areas makes this hotel what it is. Each one of the staff members made sure to acknowledge each guest every time.

We hosted my daughters birthday party at DoubleTree Huntsville. We had a slumber party and enjoyed using the pool. The room was very clean and spacious. And the staff was warm and welcoming.

I would prefer to rate 4.5 stars but ultimately the issues I experienced were minor and I would definitely stay here again. The room was sufficiently clean and the bed was comfortable. There was plenty of seating and two TVs in the room, with doors to close for privacy of sleeping if a roommate were still up watching TV or working. The breakfast buffet was AWESOME!!! The location of the motel was good and quiet. The motel overall was quiet. Definitely recommend!

It shows this Double Tree as a 3 star hotel but Google reviews show a 4 star. I vote for 5 stars for this hotel. We were stranded in Huntsville due to the snow storm, and we stayed the night at this hotel. The rooms were clean, beds and pillows amazing. The staff were kind, and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed for the night. The price of our room was reasonable. They were completely booked and allowed people to come in out of the cold. I know they were short staffed for the night but they were above and Bethany hotel I’ve been to, even the $1,000 a night hotels. Thank you to all who worked last night!! The next time I need a room in Huntsville my stay will be with you. With much gratitude, Debra❤

Wonderful service, easy check in and the room was beautiful and tidy. Superstar staff, t she was so very kind to my son who has Down syndrome. He loved staying at this hotel and had a wonderful experience! Keep up the great work!

The Stress of work, traveling, being somewhere that you don’t know ANYONE, or anywhere….can get overwhelming. Especially being in my
40’s. Most business trips end with me
Needing a day at the spa or a real vacation. This trip however was different. The room and bed was comfortable and the perfect place to let the stress of my travels melt away. On my second day I noticed the small lobby bar had a fairly good crowd (something I usually shy away from) but I really needed a drink. One I planned to take back to my room and sip over some football. 3 of the best margaritas I’ve ever had; made with fresh squeezed fruit and no generic mixer!! later I found myself sitting amongst a very upbeat and inviting crowd of people! (Some I was even in class with!) the girl behind the bar was pleasant and although she was very busy both at the bar and with other guests dining in the restaurant she was attentive, funny, and kept the atmosphere lively and inviting. The food took a while to come out but was overall delicious and enough to take some back to the room for late night snacking. She also stayed way past closing hour all three nights I found myself socializing at the bar. I wish I could remember the name of the drink she made but she poured a small sample for all of us at the bar to toast to and I ended up ordering two of them the next night!

The whole stay was one I was honestly dreading, but I made some new friends and found the best place to unwind right in the hotel lobby! This hotel is truly a hidden gem….the outside appearance made me weary but the magic inside from the warm
Cookies and pleasant desk staff to the comfortable and renovated rooms and plush beds made for a wonderful stay.

Me and my breakfast club crew all spoke of our anticipated return in January! I can’t speak for them but I will undoubtedly be returning to doubletree Huntsville south. Thank you for providing such an unmatched atmosphere! It means the world

This hotel is VERY clean. The decor is totally swanky and upscale. The rooms are extremely spacious (we had a party of five plus my infant grandson and there was more than enough room). The employees are very polite and accommodating. The pool and outdoor areas are really lovely.

We will definitely stay here again! Can't wait to go back!

We got a corner room and we loved it! The 2 room was perfect for us. The rooms were very clean. They did have smaller tvs but everything else was good. Front desk was super nice.

The king suite was bomb. Tons of space and everything here looks recently remodeled inside.

We didn’t get to eat breakfast due to our trip so no judgement there.

The front desk people are 10/10. The most friendly group of ladies and you can tell they enjoy working together. Checkin was great and easy. We would definitely stay here again. You’re in a good area and close to all kinds of restaurants too.

My stay at this DoubleTree in Huntsville was exactly what I needed for my short trip. I had to leave for my show in Huntsville immediately after work and was admittedly a bit frazzled and completely exhausted when I showed up, and had left myself a very minimal window to check in. Not only was the staff incredibly friendly, they had a warm chocolate chip cookie waiting for me upon check in, which was a blessing since I hadn't left myself any time to get dinner.

The room itself was great! The thing was HUGE, very clean, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The couch in the room was great, too!

Overall, very, very impressed with my stay at this location and would stay again!

The stay was great! Very clean and the employees was very welcoming. The room was a very nice size fit out family of 4 and we slept comfortable. I would definitely stay again.

Great Stay the staff had it completely together and were very friendly. The girl was training another employee and it went very smoothly. Love the pool set up. The hot tub did not work but I will still give it 5 stars because that is the only thing that went wrong.
