Javier's Cafe

We were on our way home and decided to eat somewhere different. The funny thing was we saw a billboard for a burger place and for some reason Javiers didn't pop up when we did our Google search. But as we drove by, we decided to look down town and that's how we found it.

We got there at 130 and they closed at 2 so we weren't sure with them closing so soon on a Sunday how it would go but figured we would give it a whirl and glad we did.

The service was excellent even though they were getting ready to close and I'm sure they were ready to go home. They took care of us no issues and we very attentive.

We got the chips and salsa and they were absolutely phenomenal. I'm assuming they are made in house but if they are bought I definitely need to know where to get them. If they make them as I suspect, they should bag them to sell and they will make a fortune.

We got the chicken fried steak and the chicken fried steak sandwich and both were excellent. They hit that hole cooked meal spot and you could tell it was all made fresh.

I wish we lived closer to them because this would be a go to spot for us, but we may have to make that drive occasionally anyway.

This is such a beautiful place to come dine in. If you enjoy history and appreciate the decorative items the good old days, then you will enjoy coming to Javier’s. We have came here before and tried their different dishes. The prices are fair and their food is always freshly made.

We haven’t had a problem here.
Do expect to wait a little since they are usually busy. This isn’t your fast food place to dine in. The food has always came out hot. Definitely a town family.

The chicken fried steak was fantastic you could cut it with a fork. This is definitely that hole in the wall cafe you make sure to stop at for breakfast on your road trip.

Small town Cafe with good home cooking. Friday is AYCE catfish with hand cut fries. One plate of catfish was plenty enough for me. Good friendly service

Nice little hometown restaurant. Delicious, the hasbrowns were light and crispy, eggs perfectly cooked, even my 15 year old commented "This was made from the Lord above" about the BLT. Got right in on a Sunday morning and had our food in no time.

The breakfast was good and my breakfast partner was even better !!

This place was amazing! I had the popcorn shrimp and my husband had the BLT. All the food came out fast and was delicious. The waitress was very attentive and kept our tea glasses full. I will definitely be coming back again.

My wife and I met Mr brother and his wife for breakfast 😋 and all of our food was great 👍 and large portions.
Great service and reasonably priced food.
Also they have many specials during the week days.
We will go back when we are in town. Awesome experience 👏

Very good food, good service and great employees. I would recommend it any time you are in the area. The service is also very fast! We will definitely eat there again on our way up and down I45! 😃

Absolutely loved this place! We had the best lunch here, I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak, Pinto Beans and Broccoli (it was sooo good) and Hubby ordered the Duo Salad with Fresh Fruit, Chicken Salad and Tuna Salad(he was in heaven)! We will be back again... Can't wait to try the fish and chicken!!!

My family and I LOVED this place. Stoped while driving through Texas and we would make a point to go again if we are ever in the area.
Everything was made fresh, prices were great and staff was super friendly. Must go!

Great home style cooking with a wide variety of items on the menu. Staff is friendly and the ambience is authentic Texas in a downtown location.

Their Tex-Mex Grilled Chicken Wrap is fantastic. Their breakfast and everything else I have eaten there is good too, but the chicken wrap is outstanding.

Amazing food Amazing waitress cozy feel. If you're in Ferris EAT HERE!! Best bacon I've ever had can't wait to eat here again!! Lot of food for the prices.
