Really loved going here! I hate doctors a lot and have had a rocky past with them as someone who has endured trauma and countless misdiagnoses. The staff here were so sweet and helpful. Even when I called to make an appointment the woman on the other line was so sweet and nice. I’d also like to mention I am transgender and the staff and Dr. Michael were extremely respectful! Including using my preferred name and the nurse even asked for my pronouns while she was screening me. Its very clear to see that at this place they care about the people they treat mentally and physically. I greatly recommend them especially if you’re a trans person looking for a respectful place to go here in Texas. A big thank you to the staff who made me feel human!

I moved to TX from MS in 2018. I have medical issues and decided to go to Dr. Durant after reading reviews. I have been with this facility for two years and never had an issue with the doctor or staff (especially the nurse with the tattoos, she is awesome). Dr. Durant bedside manners, attitude, and attention to details, is what I appreciate in her as my physician. Thanks to the entire staff for making me feel comfortable.

Dr. Hussain is simply amazing. She is nice, friendly, and you can tell she genuinely cares about her patients. She took time to talk to me and really get to know me. I’m so glad she is at this location now. Plus, all the other ladies are so sweet and nice. They’re always smiling, which is so refreshing in a cold medical office.

I have gone to this office for almost 20 years and the staff has always been incredibly respectful and very impassioned to help suit my own, as well as my families needs. whether it’s a short notice visit or helping to insure my family has the correct prescriptions, they have always cared. I trust them with my life.

The best care provider I've ever had, and the sweetest nurse, and the kindest clerks. It was my first time setting up an appointment and going to one on my own and they made everything feel so easy. I love this place and would highly recommend.

They got me in that day. The staff was great from the front desk to the nurse, very nice people. Dr. Smith is a great listener, easy to talk to and she knows her stuff.

I have been a patient of Karen Durant for 16 year's and that should say it all. Great Fantastic. Great care and all the employees are great also. Hugs to Karen and the Staff for all the of the great care through the years.

I switched to Family First because it was close. Great decision. They are friendly and always get me in quickly! When in the exam room, they really take time to listen and don't act like they are in a rush.

Dr.Karen Durant is the best. I've been seeing her for years and always takes great care of me. Staff is always friendly and accommodating.

Very friendly staff, thorough and considerate doctors/nurses, quick appointments, easy scheduling and takes most insurance plans. Couldn't ask anything else of a family doctor!

I have bee n seeing Karen for about 9 years and since Dr. Smith and her people have came on board my experience has degraded somewhat. Karen does everything she can to make things right but seems to be not winning the battle. Thinking about finding another provider but hate to leave Karen's expert care.......Need some improvement in up front personnel.

Dr. Hussain was great, and helped me with everything I needed from birth control to any other concerns I had. She referred me to a great obgyn and was overall impressive. On the other hand, the staff was not good at all. I showed up 25 minutes early to an appointment as a new patient and they made me reschedule because I needed to be there 30 minutes early even though I had filled out all the paperwork beforehand, and was still 25 minutes early. I made an appointment to see Dr. Hussain and of the ladies in the front called and told me she was cancelling my appointment because I needed to go see another doctor when Dr. Hussain is my primary physician. It may be because my issue didn’t seem all that important to them, and they wanted to clear up the books for someone else. It’s not my fault they are three months out on booking an appointment.

So I was with my previous primary care physician for over 25 years and after weeks of research I came to this practice. I liked what I read and decided to switch even though I don't like to switch doctors. Karen Durant was amazing and the office staff are very nice.

Well, I am a veteran. I served 4 years in the Navy and I got approved for Triwest VA Choice Care plan. Which is, I can choose a civilian doctor that accepts this insurance (listed on their website) and the VA approves it after referrals/paperwork from the doctors office. It's extra paperwork but I feel it's worth it, right? Helping those that serve your country?? You would think.....

I was told by one of the office staff that the additional paperwork and approvals needed for this care plan was "a hassle" or "lots of extra paperwork." WOW, ok.

Needless to say I am very disappointed and frankly, my feelings were hurt. Just thought you'd want to know what kind of people you are giving your time and money too (whoever turns veterans away)

I scheduled my husband’s yearly physical there in 11/2023, and on the day of the appointment they told him his physical cannot be done because it was within a year so they just ended up taking him as a sick patient since he was sick at the time. I don’t get why they wouldn’t check the status before he arrives, and we had to pay for the sick visit when we didn’t want to go in for his flu. We’re changing doctors because we don’t like how they do this.

I should have listened to the people who left terrible reviews! The medical providers are exceptional but the staffs are extremely terrible. The medical assistant for the nurse practitioner is extremely rude and definitely have terrible bed side manner. She clearly acts like she does not wanna be there! Even if you like the provider but you have to deal with an assistant like that, i better find a different doctor.

I was a patient of Karen Durant's till we moved. Karen is an absolute professional and a pleasure to deal with.

Dr Smith and the front office staff are abysmal though. Several years ago, my wife and I found out they were billing me the full charge for an appointment and then billing my insurance and not refunding me the difference till they were called on it. It took an in person visit to get them to finally cut me a check and issue a refund.

Now I am getting calls from them that they discovered an accounting error from 2014 and they say I owe $16 and change. Once they provide me copies of all of my transactions with them, all copies of my insurance companies payments to them and reconcile their statements I'll be happy to pay any balance I might owe.
