My wife and and we're retiring and wanting to move and enter the next chapter of our lives. We owned our home but our experience with selling our previous home was making us anxious to listing it through a real estate broker. We decided that we would just try and see what a home buyer business would be like even though we were apprehensive about it. We knew what our home was worth and the costs associated with selling a real estate broker and was aware of selling the stories related to selling a home buyer. We contacted Houston House Buyers and met L.T. Jasper at our home. We were pleasantly surprised how on how we were treated. Mr. Jasper treated us with respect and did not insult us with an offer that would have been a waste of time. He was knowledgeable about the market in our area and made an offer that was not only fair but was in line that took into account costs that we would have had to make with small fixes and closing costs. We took the offer with no closing costs. We were also allowed to choose our own closing date that allowed us to move one time into our new home on the lake.

The staff at Houston House Buyers kept in touch and made the closing extremely easy. They were very easy to work with and made the whole process very easy.

I am writing this review as a humble note of appreciation for the outstanding customer service provided by Houston Home Buyers. My brother and I was facing the problem of selling my parents’ house and land as well as my house which is located on the same acreage. We were on the fence of updating my parents’ house or selling it “AS IS” and working with a realtor for both properties to sell them as a complete package. With my brother living over 10 hours from me, we knew there was no way to work on my parents’ house to update it and get it on the market within a year. Little alone getting it all sold and then the hassles of dealing with a realtor, no telling how long that would have taken. I called Houston Home Buyers just to see what it was all about. L.T. came out spoke with us and was able to give us options on what we could do from what it “might” cost to repair and update my parents’ house to sell it “AS IS” with a realtor and then he walked us thru what Houston Home Buyer could and would do for us. L.T. made us a cash offer that day and we accepted it. I worked directly with the office staff and like L.T. they were very friendly and professional and always willing to answer any questions I had as well calm my nerves from time to time. From the 1st call to the day we sold both houses to Houston Home Buyers they was with us every step of the way. The ability to provide the resolution quickly exceeded our expectations.

We had a pipe burst in our house after we moved out to a new house. Before we could put it on the market, it flooded. With a delay by insurance, the house was further damaged. Unfortunately the insurance was not enough to fix the house. We were going to try and do the work ourselves to save money. Then my husbands stroke happened. With my husband in recovery, and a disabled son at home I was at my wits end. I contacted Houston House Buyers. LT came to our house and walked through. We answered simple questions and talked about what we wanted out of a sale. Of course we wanted the value of the house before the damage. But that just wasn’t possible or realistic. We met on a Friday. I think by Monday or Tuesday we had an offer. It was reasonable and we accepted. Really we could have made more if we did the work by ourselves, but at what cost. My time is precious carrying for two disabled people. I think we came out far ahead. The reduction in my stress level was amazing. Closing took some time because Hurricane Harvey came along. But I think it would have been quick and efficient if not for the flooding. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Houston House Buyers.

This is actually my second review of this amazing company. After they bought our home in Richmond, TX, (and we were so happy with the outcome) we approached them about taking a look at a home we had in Fort Worth, TX. The home had been destroyed by renters and we just wanted to be rid of the headache. Not only did they make plans to go and see the home, promptly, they made an immediate offer! They offered more than the amount we needed to pay off the mortgage and still have some money left over! We were allowed to pick our own closing date and it was an extremely easy process. I would recommend this company to my relatives and friends and anyone that wants to do business with honest individuals. I have worked with Steve Schmid twice now and he is fantastic. The closing process went extremely quickly and without problems, despite a pending major hurricane. I dealt with several people both before and after the transaction, and they were helpful and efficient in handling everything. i would definitely recommend them again.
