Hickory Star Resort & Marina

We went to eat at Arjay’s last Saturday and little did we know how much fun we were about to have! We had no idea it was karaoke night. We had so much fun and ended up staying for a couple of hours. The food was delicious too! Definitely two thumbs up!

I absolutely love this place. Very secluded. Very clean. Dog friendly as long as they are on leashes. I didn't eat at the restaurant and I live nearby so I didn't stay at the rooms either but the places look very nice.

This is our go-to boat dock when going to the lake, plenty of parking and plenty of room to get your boat in and out of the water. If you've never been here there is a launch fee which most places charge no matter where it's at.

Great Marina! It could use a bit of a facelift, but couldn't we all! Arjay's has THE best chicken wings on Norris Lake! Clean and always well stocked. Friendly service and knowledgeable staff!

Our recent trip to E. TN was incredible. We had the most amazing time at Hickory Star. The cabin we stayed in was perfect with a beautiful view. It was spacious and toddler friendly. One of our favorite parts of the experience was how quiet it was…we never slept better (including our 18 month old)!!

Needed fuel after hours long adventure took care of me right quick and their fuel was 93 gas so ofcourse price may have been high but it was high octane and on the lake. No complaints there and the attendant was top notch who was pleasant to talk to been around the lake just as long as I have.

Calm and seasoned. This place has been here for a minute and is a great way to access Norris and all the lake has to offer. The food at the restaurant is great and the service is friendly. The place gets crowded on Sat nights. They have live music. The Marina offers a small store for basics and provides fuel for boats. Waiting list for a slip. Good times.

Beautiful place to visit-vacation. Everyone was so very friendly and polite. Recommend 100%.

Hickory star has down home super friendly staff... Great location, food is marina caliber but plentiful. Scenery is awesome...we bring our bikes and ride up the hilly roads. Other guests are always friendly, and we've been invited to beer pong or card games with strangers.

Bring your southern hospitality attitude not your northern entitlement one and you will love this place!

Firework show was spactacular....people are friendly and the cook Richard has the best attitude and is a wonderful chef.

A group of 6 friends rented 3 cabins for the weekend. Our cabin had plumbing issues- and the man I spoke with didn’t hesitate to come to our cabin right away! He went above and beyond to take care of our issues in our cabin! The Karaoke on Friday night was the best we had ever heard, food was great as well! This is a great place to spend the weekend if you are looking for a nice place to eat, drink, weekend entertainment and within walking distance to cabins. We will be back!!! ♥

Very nice accommodation and priced very reasonable. The staff is absolutely amazing and go above and beyond to help. Bob is one of the nicest people I have ever met and made us feel like family. All around great place and highly recommend.

Motel rooms are a log building. Cool. Big fridge. Sheila at check in desk was great.

Friendly staff, great selection for quick grab n goes & all the little things we forgot. Clean stocked restrooms & the food at the pub was delicious! Definitely be back! Lonnie & Wanda was great host ❤

We absolutely love Hickory Star Marina. First off, the variety of camping or cabin experiences is awesome! You can camp, rent a timber tent or a cabin. We rented a timber tent instead of putting up our tent in the rain and we stayed dry. They have electric and a ceiling fan. Second, the pool is enormous! It was clean and the kids has a blast. Third, the marina is great. We rented a pontoon boat for $200/day which is a really good deal compared to many of the surrounding marinas during peak months.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. They are laid back and very easy going. It's very family friendly.

They are right on the lake and it's gorgeous! There are some long-term residents there but that is because the place is so great that they just don't leave.

One last thing, we drove from Nortern Kentucky so we drove into Cumberland Parkway instead of taking 75 all the way down. We were glad we did! Rocky Top traffic on 75 cost my mom an hour and 45 minutes!! So for a gorgeous 15 minute detour we saved a lot of time. So the location the marina is great, too.

We appreciate all their kindness and wish their owners good business in the future. Our family really appreciated everyone there.

I love Hickory Star. Super affordable food, great staff and service, guys that pump gas are always friendly and helpful. Karaoke every Friday and live music every Saturday. Fun times always.
