We stayed at Wild Dune Resort as a family (2 adults and a 14-year-old) for five days in August 2024 and had a wonderful experience. We initially had a minor issue with our assigned room, but the management quickly resolved it, upgrading us to a beautiful sea-view room, which we really appreciated. The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and featured a lovely terrace overlooking the pool with a stunning view of the ocean.

The hotel’s amenities are definitely in line with its high standard. The only downside for us as Italians, used to dining after 8 PM, was that most restaurants close by 8 or 9 PM, which was a bit limiting.

The beach is fantastic and very easy to access. Pool towels are conveniently available 24/7 through automated dispensers using your room key, and you can exchange them multiple times a day. Our son enjoyed the tennis courts and ping-pong tables, while we all had fun around the bonfires making s’mores.

Overall, it’s a place we would gladly return to, and we highly recommend it for families seeking both relaxation and entertainment.

We are in love with the Wild Dunes Resort!! Their staff is extremely kind, helpful, and informative. Dorris couldn't have been any sweeter or more welcoming. The multiple options for ceremonies, receptions, and lodging, are amazing for our clients with varied budgets. The views are stunning and perfect for a South Carolina wedding.

Loved this trip!! The resort is off at the end of the island, and seemed private, but not too private! Some of the places did look like it needed updating… but that’s it! The bike rentals was a great addition to the trip too. The beach is never far away! Loved it here!!

Room was mediocre, but service and location were absolutely excellent! Only had a few hiccups but it was made up for by incredible hospitality and respect from everyone, felt almost unreal! Also within walking distance from the beach, which was also great for a late night walk I went on. Food was always great and so was everyone working! Props to Dylan at the pizza place, an absolute GOAT, he was funny, polite, and very hard working!

Wild Dunes resort takes the saying "southern hospitality" to a whole new level! We stayed here while friends were in town visiting and our home was being remodeled and without question every single request within reason was met with a smile by the staff. Every employee had a smile on their face and gave the impression they loved to be working there.

I highly recommend this resort to couples and families with kids who want to get away somewhere with ample things to do close by. The pools are sparkling clean and so refreshing and the resort itself has two restaurants for quick and delicious access to food and drinks. The food (from tacos and tequila to smash burgers and beer and everything southern in-between) is ALL fantastic.

This is truly an epic resort. The amenities, restaurants, staff, and grounds are exceptional. The hospitality is off the charts. Also, if you're a golfer, I highly recommend Wild Dunes! They have two meticulous courses, and the hotel will shuttle you to and from the courses and the driving range.

During our stay we saw many animals, alligators, deer, and several other types of birds while playing a round of golf. It was quite beautiful and serene.

I highly recommend Wild Dunes resort if you seeking a luxurious place to escape to right on the beautiful South Carolina coast!

This was our 6th trip to Wild Dunes. It is always a pleasure. The amenities are great. The food is awesome too. This stay, we opted for an "ocean front" condo. Just note these properties are not in the center of everything and require a long walk or jog to access the main village. It's not a huge deal, but it is good to know this in advance. The condo itself was nice and did offer an ocean view.

Perfection! The staff, resort, amenities and the beach will 100% bring us back! Special thanks to Mason, a manager, for going the extra mile!

This is an amazing resort. The amenities, restaurants, service staff, and grounds are exceptional. If you're a golfer, I highly recommend this place. They have two amazing courses that you can play, and the hotel will give you a shuttle to and from the courses and the driving range. The Links course hosts a number of holes right off the ocean. We saw alligators, deer, and several other types of wildlife while playing a round of golf. It was quite beautiful.

Have you ever heard the saying "southern hospitality"? Well, this resort is the embodiment of this. Every request within reason was met with a smile and can-do attitude. I don't think we encountered a single employee who didn't seem to enjoy their job. Everyone had a smile on their face and gave the impression they wanted to be there.

I would highly recommend this resort to families with children who want to get away but will have somewhere their kids will enjoy. The pools were very kid friendly and had two restaurants positioned on either side of the area for easy access to food and drinks. From tacos and tequila to fried jerk chicken sandwiches, smash burgers, and beer, there's something for everyone in your group to enjoy. I was amazed to see the level of organization throughout the entire property, which is quite sizeable. They hosted weddings, business conferences, and retreats during our stay, which all seemed to go off without a hitch.

I highly recommend this place if you want quality, comfort, and service on your trip.

This was a great vacation. I would like to give a special thanks to Virginia and Susanne at the concierge desk. They both helped plan a special engagement proposal on the beach. They also provided lots of help with rides and things to do in the city. Wild Dunes will always have a special memory for us and we hope to return for future anniversaries.

I travel a lot for work and stay in many different places. I would stay here again simply because of who checked me in. I had a day full of delayed flights and Jera was absolutely amazing. She was friendly and professional and made my long travel day infinitely better.

We got married on the beach at Wild Dunes in May 2023 and there are a few people that we personally want to thank for their service. First off, Bailey E, the events planning manager. She is a wonderful person, has an eye for detail and juggle many things every weekend. Bailey, without you this would not have run as smooth as it has.
The staff that helped with the guests, the servers at the reception, the bar lady and Geoff that bailed me out more than once, (first taking care of a bruised and heavy swollen ankle at the pool bar then when I locked myself out of my room just before I had to walk down the aisle). Mr. Richard at the Boardwalk Inn, the young'ns can take a few pages out of your book of hospitality ... we are thankful for all of you that went way beyond your duties to make this not just an unforgettable stay but an unforgettable celebration. All our guests let us know just how wonderful you all were and the friendly warm smiles & personable personalities of everyone that assisted them. To the chefs and kitchen staff, we want to say thank you for the wonderful food, our guests enjoyed everything and to the pastry chef for accommodating all the sweet teeth 😁, gluten free & vegan, they raved about it.👌👌
We do want to encourage you to invest in a PA system for the beach though, it will only be a plus.
Thank you again & we will be back soon 💕

We LOVE Wild Dunes. It’s probably my favorite place ever. I go a few times a year and it’s my happy place. We typically rent at Ocean Club and love the large condos - updated, private, quiet, and comfortable. The beaches are pretty empty in general, but especially on the north side of the island. I have included photos from a few trips at two different condos (1208 & 4408…. Both were fantastic).

My fiance' and myself stayed at the Wild Dunes Resorts ( Condo side ) and we celebrated our engagement with quite possibly the best staff that we have ever been around. From the warm welcoming check in, to the shuttle service that we used A LOT ! To the room that was perfect for us, the resort is beautiful and again the staff was incredible !! We used the pool bar A LOT and after just a few short hours they knew us by name and drink. ( a good problem to have on vacation ). We are already booking our next trip with them as we speak. I am not a huge vacation guy but because of the professional staff and the way the make you feel this will be our next vacation !!! Thank you for making our engagement one we will never forget.

Such a beautiful wedding venue. Charleston has been our annual family getaway from Upstate New York for the last 15 years. We almost never skipped a year to see this beautiful city. After looking at several Charleston/Folly Beach/West Ashley venues, our decision landed on Wild Dunes. The practicality, amenities, and location were perfect for what we envisioned our guests to enjoy. Being about 30 min from the airport was perfect. Guests will pass by the city on the way to the resort and could take an Uber to stop and explore. Once they were at Wild Dunes, they had no intentions of leaving. The guests were thrilled to have restaurants, cafes, the spa, the pool and the beach at their fingertips. This was a vacation for them after all and I wanted them to feel that way. After our wedding, I was relieved to know that my guests just had to walk up to their rooms for the night. My family and I could not thank Samantha enough for our amazing wedding experience. She was a professional event manager/coordinator through and through. She has a bubbly personality that puts everyone at ease. Samantha went above and beyond to make every little detail and small hiccup seamless with the weekend. From our tasting early on in the process, to our farewell from the resort, she left us so thankful to have our investment in her hands. We cannot wait to visit for our anniversary and watch all future weddings come to life at Wild Dunes!

Amazing property with lots of amenities. Close to the beach, quite and clean. The guys at the bar (Mike and I can’t recall the other guys name) we’re amazing! They had a chemistry that was funny and entertaining. They gave great recommendations as well. Will be back when it’s warmer!
