Black and white is the best coffee in the Triangle area. They are always creative and everything they release is golden!

Clean bathrooms, friendly staff, plenty of seating inside and outside.

It's quiet enough to take a video call meeting for work, but not so quiet that you feel awkward doing it. Great place to work from home, catch up with a friend, or get a quick cup of coffee.

I've had coffee in East Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Western Africa, Latin America, the Post-Soviet Bloc, and the US. The coffee here competes with anywhere I've been. Black & White isn't one of those places with walls full of shelves of coffee varieties, but the range of delicious flavors is great. On top of the variety of excellent coffees, the barista was not only pleasant and hospitable; she knew her stuff, communicated well, and was generally helpful. Not because Rolesville shouldn't have good coffee but because one wouldn't assume that such a small place--in the US South, no less--would necessarily be home to fine cuisine, it was very surprising to me that my experience there was so impressive. As far as I can tell, Black & White has the best coffee in the Triangle area, and I look forward to going back there as many times as I can.

Just an all-around 5/5 place and a regular Sunday trip while my wife and I work on some grad degrees. Our neighbor tags along to grade papers and we have found this place and the other regulars to be charming. This is as close to the romantacized ideal of a coffee shop you will find. That is just the atmosphere and baristas.

The coffee at all the Black and White locations is excellent, but a barista at the Rolesville location loves to tinker and come up unique drinks that always manage to taste oh so good. Whether it is just regular drip, a latte, or some other concotion they have brewed up, it will be good.

The pastries are also a great treat, indulging occasionally or splitting one with my spouse always leaves a desire to buy one more.

First of all this is only my second time coming and I literally would spend $10 on a coffee if I had to just to get the customer service experience black and white provides!!! The last two visits Alivia helped me and was super sweet and professional. Clay made an awesome latte and Mack greeted me when I came through the door. Overall, excellent service and even better food!!!!!

This is not only the best coffee shop in Rolesville, but the best in the entire triangle in my opinion! Each and every employee could teach a master class on customer service. They’re extremely nice, very helpful, and always go the extra mile for you. Also, they easily have the best iced oat milk latte! I’d recommend this place to anyone!

So glad they now have a location which also serves food!! Now I can have my favorite coffee with a breakfast or lunch meal!

Seriously though... I love this coffee. Absolutely wonderful!! I always get a macchiato (not to be confused with how that big brand does them). The traditional macchiato is so tasty. There is no need for loads of sugar and added flavors like caramel. As long as your coffee is good, life is good!!

Onto the food. So far all I’ve had is the Italian. It was awesome. Prosciutto is superb especially when paired with the other quality ingredients they use like mozzarella!!

Go. Try. Eat. Yum!!

I love the vanilla latte either iced or hot! The service is always quick and the staff is so friendly. I’m so happy that B&W coffee is only 1 min from my house ❤

I've been on a quest to ensure I review the small local restaurants and coffee shops I visit that have excellent because my goodness I have not had great experiences from large chains (taco bell down the road literally locks their customers out when they get busy 🙃).

Black and White is amazing they always have been the selections are wonderful, the vibe is perfectly calm and modern, and this location has food too that it's DELICIOUS. On top of it all they are all SO nice! Please come support this local business you will not leave disappointed.

I just moved down to NC and this was a great intro to breakfast joints here. The staff are friendly, while the inside is quite clean, and the coffee/breakfast items are delicious. I got a mocha latte while I was there and it had the perfect balance of sweetness to acidity. The breakfast sandwich aptly named, The Classic, was a great way to start the day too. Will definitely come back.

Black and White Coffee is one of the best roasters in the country. It pains me to see people ordering sugary Starbucks style drinks here when this is one of the few places around where you can get espresso done right. Their single origin coffees are amazing and I've been blown away by the flavors they manage to pull out of the beans. Owned by two (two!) former US Barista Champions. Yeah, they know coffee.

Quality coffee roaster and baristas. Delicious seasonal and permanent menu. Clean, creative space - perfect for a work meeting or hangout with your people.

They make the BEST cup of hot chocolate I've ever gotten from a coffee shop. It wasn't too sweet but it was rich and dark. It was reasonably priced, too.
