Blowing Rock Antiques

This is a gorgeous store populated with antiques from Europe. The employees were beyond nice to me, even tho i was greasy from sleeping outside and didn't buy anything. Don't listen to the reviews claiming rudeness. The crew couldn't have been more welcoming.

Very cool store. From the moment we walked through the doors I was already impressed. Such an eclectic collection. The owners were attentive. Definitely & literally jammed packed. Loved it.

Blowing Rock Antiques is a beautiful store with incredible antiques. The owner has impeccable taste. Client service is top notch. Prices are very reasonable compared to other antique stores. A must see anyone visiting Blowing Rock! The attached photo is French chest of drawers that I bought from the store.

This shop is fabulous! I have spent more than one afternoon just browsing. It's filled with imported antique furniture, lots of beautiful decor items and even some fun gift ideas. It's a favorite with local designers but they really have something for everyone. The staff is knowledgeable and very friendly. I highly recommend!

This place is full of really nicely curated European antiques. Very fair to deal with. Do not come for distressed furniture and “it’s wine o’clock somewhere” signs.

This was a “SHOWCASE” of an antique store! If you love to shop… this store is a MUST on your visit to Blowing Rock. The owner John has an “expert” eye for one of a kind pieces. From the moment John, the owner, said “hello”… I knew I had a new friend. You know the kind of person … their smile, their warm personality and pure kindness..that’s John. We found a beautiful cabinet and using it for a bar in my husbands office and an animal
Head “Gizelle… I think”… I named her “Margo” because she had a gentle smile and I wanted it to be a tribute to her ❤… I have my eye on couple of other things and he happily is holding my things for pick up! So again, DON’T MISS THIS FABULOUS STORE and meeting John! You can thank me for my review 😊

Blowing Rock Antiques is a destination antique shop. I drive over an hour to visit Blowing Rock and this is first place I always stop.

If you have recently developed an interest in antiques, this is a good place to start. If you have a home full of antiques, you will always find something here that you must have. There are items for every budget and pieces are fairly priced. These are real antiques from Europe, not old jars and tobacco sticks. The owner is well versed in his inventory and extremely helpful if you have a question. He’s happy to share his knowledge with others. The staff are always helpful. I travel a lot for work and make a point to visit nurseries and antique shops of wherever I’m working. Honestly, I wish more antique shops had friendly owners and staff like Blowing Rock Antiques.

The shop also has topiaries from Atlock Farm. They are the top topiary grower in North America and sells to the likes of Martha Stewart and other high end designers. Blowing Rock Antiques hosted a topiary 101 class given by the owner of Atlock Farm. I attended and it was amazing! A friend woke up at 4 in the morning and drove from Columbia, SC for the class. Some of the others in attendance came from further away.

The shop is beautifully decorated with displays of fresh greenery each winter. Again, fairly priced and worth every penny. You could easily decorate the inside and outside of your home.

Overall, a wonderful selection of fairly priced and well curated treasures in one place. Highly recommended!!

My most favorite place to find unique items! I stumbled into the store when they opened 2 years ago looking for majolica for my home in Blowing Rock and fell in love with John and Nancy. I was so surprised to find such an extensive inventory of quality items for the home and garden. The store is fiilled with so many different treasures that are constantly changing. I always feel like a kid in a candy store when I visit! There is something for everyone, whether the hunt is for majolica, dining tables and chairs, chandeliers, side tables, chests, artwork, animal heads, coffee table books, topiaries, etc.
It is well worth visiting. You will not be sorry! They helped make my house into a home.

H&S is your place. John is very knowledgeable and looks for the one of a kind items. His hard work and dedication shows through his beautiful showroom. If you haven't shopped at H&S you are missing out on real treat.
I guarantee you his showroom will bring you back.

Wonderful 18th and 19th Century Antiques

Staff is amazing, the collection here is unlike anything you have seen. I could sit in here for hours just looking. Picked up a really nice mirror, owner was friendly!

Extremely impressive antique store! All items are exquisitely decorated within the store. It's like taking a walk through history. There are definitely some statement pieces for sale. I would suggest anyone who loves antiques from England and Italy to come by and browse through.

This place is like a museum of the most interesting artifacts. There was nothing I could afford but it was sure cool to look at this stuff up close. The lady at the desk was very friendly and didn't seem to mind us just looking and asking questions.

Beautiful pieces. Stopped in before going hiking and loved the large selection of antiques. There’s a lot of unique pieces.
