Poets Walk at Ayr Mount

This place is such a gem! So serene, beautiful and relaxing to walk around. Hopefully we will get to tour the house next time.

Very nice interesting trail along the Eno River and behind Ayr Mount Historic Plantation. Well worn and sometimes sand graveled the paths are without tree markers. There are some rest areas with benches, river views, a pond, many stately trees, open mowed fields and the house to tour. After your hike on Poets Walk rest on the Adirondack chairs on the patio behind the house.

Simply beautiful. Placards help you distinguish the plant life, nicely manicured path. Never been in other times but late fall. Gorgeous. Read the poem on the sign at the beginning, very sweet.

Beautiful & serene, with several options to walk (pond, river, etc). Great way to spend a nice day outside. Dogs are welcomed. Please pick up after them, tho.

Great contemplative place to walk and take in your natural surroundings. Highly recommend visiting here. The house tours are not going on due to COVID-19, but this walk was worth the visit! Great place to picnic, as well.

A tranquil and beautiful walk around a manor house with some gardens and a quiet pond to sit by. Perfect for a long walk or bring a picnic blanket to read on.

Nice mile walk with dogs

Quiet and beautiful one mile walk down to Eno River and back up. Great for both exercise and contemplation.
