We are from out town located about 6 hours away, and loved it so much, we visited back to back times. Both times the waits were not bad (under 20 minutes). The staff was extremely courteous and bubbly even with the breakfast rush hour. The waitress recommend the house special Monkey Bread - do yourself a favor and get it when you make a visit - WORTH IT. They provided us with exceptionally friendly customer service, took our order and the food came out rather quickly!
Their English muffins are house-made and fantastic! They’re not cardboard garbage you find in other breakfast spots. They have raw local honey on each of the tables which was a sight for sore eyes as I usually never see this anywhere! Everything we ordered was phenomenal, my daughters French toast was buttery-melt-in-your-mouth (which we used honey on it also).
Over all, if I could give 10 stars I would for this local gem, it’s located in a quaint area with two adorable boutique shops for holiday gift finds. We never felt rushed to make room for others on the wait list. Nothing in the areas (boutiques and restaurant) are overpriced and I felt full and content after leaving. From the service, to the food and prices we left satisfied and will surely recommend this to all.

We heard about this place from some locals in town why said we simply had to try this place before we left. We ended up staying another day in the area than originally planned, which luckily made it possible for us to try them out since they aren't open on Monday's and Tuesday's.

And we weren't disappointed. This place is absolutely fantastic and probably the best food and service we've had on our entire trip. The staff is really friendly, upbeat, accommodating, and knowledgeable. They have a small outdoor seating area in addition to their indoor seating think can accommodate pets. This was another driving factor for us.

The restaurant was clean and organized. The coffee was strong, yet delicious. They actually had organic cane sugar for our coffee, which we are usually hard pressed to find.

They had a ton of gluten free and vegetarian options. Plus many meat options for my more meat prone spouse. We tried the gluten free Lemon Raspberry coffee cake which was moist and delicious. I had the Greenhouse Skillet and my spouse had the Corn Beef Hash Bowl. The flavor profiles of both were extremely diverse and we didn't feel heavy or weighted down after we finished.

Overall, a wonderful experience and we will be sure to come back anytime we are in this area.

Well worth the 20min wait. I always struggle with breakfast in this area—my mind is hardly ever blown. Best monkey bread I’ve ever tried & a delicious veggie breakfast bowl! I love their dedication to sustainability and local foods!

Edit 4/22/22:
They have recently renovated the interior and it feels a lot less crowded. More room to get between the tables. Food continues to be excellent, and the service is always so friendly.

Our wait was about 30 minutes, but the food was well worth it and the service was friendly! My only recommendation would be that they get the buzzers to tell you when your table is ready so people don't have to crowd the patio and could wander over to the Wrinkled Egg to window shop while they waited! But the food! I LOVED my Greenhouse breakfast skillet (plus pork from Hubba Hubba Smokehouse, because why not?). The flavors were bright (the basil cream totally made the dish) and it didn't leave me too full, which sometimes skillets can do. Everyone else enjoyed their food too! I will definitely be back.

I have eaten breakfast at Honey and Salt twice now. I feel like I understand the meaning of the Southern term about food that is “smack yo mama good” when I eat this incredible breakfast.
The cheese grits are some of the best I have found in the area. The biscuits and eggs are exactly how you want them to be-lightly salty, with a hint of sweetness, every flavor balanced and never overpowering.
It’s easy to see why locals love this place and keep coming back.
Coffee is also strong, tasty and comes in a variety of options with free refills.
Only a 25 minute drive from North Greenville.
Go get yourself a great Southern breakfast this week.

Our first visit and certainly not the last. Warm friendly staff. Convenient communication: you get a call on your cell when your table is ready. Indoor or outdoor dining. Varied menu. We chose the salmon sandwich which was truly out of this world. Parking can be problematic IF you don’t like parking in the lower lot and walking up a hill to the restaurant. But IF you need to add to your steps, you’re spot on. And there is ample handicapped parking right at the door.

Stopped in for breakfast. I had the smokehouse skillet - AMAZING! Brisket hashcake, pimento cream cheese, pulled pork, egg, cheddar, bacon, BBQ sauce & roasted tomato. The sauce was tangy & sweet, a pleasant surprise. Can't wait to come back and making my way through the menu! Fantastic!!!

This restaurant is warm and inviting - we never felt rushed - even though they are popular amoung tourists and locals alike. They feature several local vendors and a farm to market feel on their menu.
We enjoyed a fabulous cup of coffee, a breakfast skillet and eggs benedict. The star of our breakfast was the Sweet and Sassy toast. Seriously a divine slice of heaven nestled in the mountains.
Be prepared to wait - but its well worth it.

Service and food was great! Sad that we didn't get to try the monkey bread because they only serve it on Sat and Sun but this just makes us look forward to going back to the restaurant.

We ordered the reuben (sauerkraut was great and not too sour), avocado toast, sausage and gravy, and french toast (very light and fluffy but could use a bit more fruit topping). Overall a great experience and really cannot wait to go back!

My wife and I don’t get to Flat Rock much, but last week we thoroughly enjoyed our Breakfast at Honey And Salt. My wife enjoyed “Salmon Benny”(Benedict), and I enjoyed home style country breakfast with over light eggs, flavorful bacon, and moist fried potatoes. Everything we’ve tried there has been fresh and delicious. The excellent service included caring, attentive smiles. Congratulations on an awesome restaurant. Below is my wife’s “Salmon Benny”

Great little breakfast place in Flat Rock. Rib-sticking food from farm-to-table growers. I had the French toast, cheddar grits and hash cake. Wonderful. Cozy place and friendly service.

I don't stop at many breakfast and brunch places but this place caught my eye with everything being made in house. The homemade cinnamon rolls and orange cranberry muffins were amazing. Best cinnamon roll I've ever had. The coffee was smooth and at the perfect temperature. The avocado toast tasted as fresh as could be with plenty of flavor. The skillet I got had eggs, hash browns, kale, cheese, sweet potatoes, beets and a pesto sauce which tasted fantastic. Highly recommend but make sure to call ahead for wait times and see if you can make a reservation.

Super cute breakfast spot!! I was by myself and was served quickly at the bar. I am a big fan of eggs Benedict and this really hit the spot! So happy with their tea selection and local honey. Very cute spot that you can’t miss in Flat Rock!

The atmosphere is perfect, the staff was very attentive! I've had eggs Benedict in a lot of different places and it's usually always the same. The eggs Benedict here were amazing and different than I've had anywhere else! Highly recommend! Also a great place for people with gluten sensitivities!

My wife and I visited on mother's day, and it was quite the crowd. We found a convenient seat at the window bar that was perfect for people watching. She ordered the gluten free pancakes, and I, the Greenhouse skillet. What a wonderful dining experience. The food was plentiful and intricately flavored. The waitstaff was attentive, even though it was easy to notice that they were operating as fast as they could. H&S has been added to our "must visit again" list.

100% worth the wait. Farm to table dining at its finest. French toast and skillet hash was so good. Can’t wait to go again!

Perfect spot for a delicious brunch! Blueberry pancakes were scrumptious, and the ranchero skillet was so tasty as well. We got a side of grits and biscuits and were not disappointed. Great use of local produce. Highly recommend!

Local breakfast place with a warm atmosphere. Table, bar, and outside seating available and friendly hosts. Likely a wait but it usually goes fast and is definitely worth it.
