Haw River Canoe Launch (Lower Haw put-in, Middle Haw take-out)

The river is beautiful! The trail is a little difficult with much erosion which has caused large, exposed roots. There are some large rocks on the trail which require climbing over to continue on the trail. You can walk out to the river on some large, flat rocks. I recommend going when it’s cooler, because the trail can be very buggy.

This is a great place to spend a few nights on the river

Gorgeous, my dog and I both love this spot. We like it for playing and exploring though, not boat access.

Looks like a great place to launch your kayak or canoe, I went there to walk a trail down to the river and to get on the rocks to take pictures of the river and some of th leaves are changing in the trees, the river is low so you can get to the middle of the river for great photos

Nice ramp and boat launch with rollers. Some low hanging trees so be careful with any fishing rods you might have. Nice gravel lot with plenty of room

Just stop to look, nice place to launch. May water current was moving pretty fast.

Intermediate would be my rating of this run unless the Haw were in flood stage. Nice...take your fishing gear.

Great spot to hike or kayak/canoe, although it's a very rocky river, so take care.
