Hillsborough Spa and Day Retreat

My husband surprised me with an afternoon here for my birthday and it was absolutely perfect. I got a massage and a facial and both were fantastic. The entire staff was so welcoming and kind and they had so many extra things (sauna, snacks, soaking tub, etc.) to make your stay relaxing. I highly recommend!

Wonderful hidden gem! The atmosphere is incredibly relaxing. I was able to enjoy the infrared sauna before getting my hot stone massage.

I love this place! We have been here a couple times before. I always notice as soon as we walk through the doors, it feels like a relaxed, peaceful space. My husband & I booked a couples massage for our anniversary. We were able to slip into our comfy robes & go to the infrared sauna then relax in the lounge area before our appointment time. While we were relaxing, we were offered a glass of champagne to toast our anniversary. That was exceptionally thoughtful! The massages were excellent. Both Fay & Jennifer eased our muscle tension away. This was a wonderful experience. We will definitely do this again. Perfection!

My two friends and I were in town visiting from GA. We scheduled 3 massages for Saturday. I thoroughly enjoyed my massage with Daina. It was so very relaxing and just what I needed. I worried that my friends may not have enjoyed their massages as much as I did. But, I am happy to say they both loved their massages!! We all wished we had scheduled longer massages. We will definitely return when we are back in the area. Do your body a favor and visit Hillsbourgh Spa & Day Retreat!

The best spa experience. I come in as much as I can for a facial and massage. The atmosphere easily puts you in a relaxed space and their therapists are all excellent.

As a busy Realtor I am trying to be more intentional about practicing self care. Hillsborough Day Spa meets any of my needs. From the steam room, sauna are an added plus to the relaxing environment. My massage therapist Andy was very attentive and offered great suggestions to help remedy stiff muscles. This place is a gem!

I must say I am really impressed with all the thoughtful touches at this spa. The robes and sock’s provided are ultra luxurious. The therapist carefully listened to my needs and told me how she worked setting a good understanding upfront. This was a truly relaxing and calming experience. I would highly recommend it for a place to unwind 🧘‍♂

It has been a few years since I visited this location as I had moved away but it was even better than I remembered. The relaxation room and the terrace area are tranquil and relaxing. All I wanted to do was to close my eyes and enjoy, and that’s what I did. I personally loved the steam room followed by hot shower with the rain shower, it was the best.

I’ve had many massages, and Sheryl was superb. I prefer firm pressure, and she was able to accommodate my preferences and find all of my problem areas without my instruction. My wife’s therapist, Rebecca, was also fantastic. She navigated prenatal massage intuitively and without compromise, while making my wife feel relaxed and comfortable. She even provided stretching tips for my wife to implement throughout the rest of her pregnancy. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful surprise -- a beautiful spa in Hillsborough! The truth is, we tried to book at Umstead but they had no availability, so I searched around and found this place. So glad I did. My friend & I went for massages, which were great. The spa is beautiful -- tasteful, peaceful -- and the service was excellent. I actually prefer it to Umstead now. It has a very cozy vibe. We used the sauna while there; it was super clean and easy to use. We'll definitely be back.

The best massage experience I have ever had! From beginning to end you felt pampered and relaxed. The ambiance was amazing and the customer service was excellent! Courtney was amazing and her full body massage left me absolutely spa drunk! Loved the experience ❤

The spa is so nice and peaceful Great service and cozy! Although there were other people there, I felt like I was the only one there! The staff was very friendly and attentive! Will definitely be going back!

I’ve never really been to a spa before so I don’t have anything to compare it to, but to me the Hillsborough Spa and Day Retreat feels special. I’ve been to Faye twice now for a massage and they are my favorite massages I’ve ever experienced. Faye is so intentional with how she performs her work and I have felt an immense benefit from each of the massages. I leave feeling both physically and mentally refreshed which is in itself a blessing. Everything there is well thought out, comfortable and completely relaxing. I had the added bonus of being there during a long thunderstorm which may it all the more cozy. I highly recommend coming here to relax and recharge.

Hillsborough Day Spa is a hidden gem! I was gifted a Spa Day a while back and finally, despite my busy schedule, was able to book, and am thrilled I did. Dara at front desk was extremely accommodating, the facility (lower level) was serene-quiet, clean...beyond relaxing. The best part of the day, Stephanie! She is a consummate masseuse. I went into the day in some pain and left with more mobility in my right hip and knee than I've had in months. She is, hands down, the most knowledgeable and talented masseuse I've ever worked with. As well, she also did my micro dermabrasion facial, and despite my sensitive skin, she worked with me, made the right skin care product choices and left me looking and feeling like a new woman. I had such a great experience at this spa. I came as part of a work outing and was able to enjoy their sauna, steam room and got an incredible massage. The facilities are clean and luxurious. They have a locker room, lovely robes and socks. The atmosphere is very relaxing and private. Highly recommend for your next spa day.

I went to Stephanie throughout my pregnancy for prenatal massage and returned to see her again a month postpartum. She is so attentive, really knows how to work out every knot, and made me feel GOOD in my body after many months of feeling not my best. Hillsborough Spa is beautifully appointed, clean, and calming. I recommend it to anyone looking for a break from the day to day grind.

Such a tranquil, gorgeous place where distractions fall away. The steamroom and sauna, the wonderful staff, the elegant interior design and then the luxurious relaxation of lingering after a great massage or facial in one of those delicious bathrobes in a welcoming chair. This Spa is Heaven.
