This is a really good shop. The people there are honest and friendly and do excellent work. They seem to enjoy what they are doing so it has a great atmosphere. It feels right. Emily and Nikki in the front office area are great. Fair prices and excellent customer service. I highly recommend J & W Automotive.

Had brake problems on my 2013 Hyundai Elantra and received an initial estimate from another "reputable" repair shop for over $2,000. Took it to J & W and they diagnosed it as a very simple problem and completed the repairs for just over $125.00. Everything has been working perfectly since then.

We were having issues getting my wife's car started this week. I called around to all the shops in the Chapel Hill/Pittsboro (and beyond) area. None of them seemed to have the time of day to hear what was going on with the car and insisted that I just needed to bring it in to be diagnosed. Alex at J&W asked me many questions about what was going on, and even told me a few possibilities of what it could be that was causing it. He also gave me brief estimated quotes for each possibility the first time we talked. We brought it by on a Wednesday, although they wouldn't be able to work on it until Friday. But it was fixed on Thursday ahead of schedule. They called me throughout the day to give me updates on what they had found and how much the necessary parts would be. I will continue to use J&W during my time in NC. Everyone at J&W was very kind and they took great care of my wife's car. Although I hope we don't have many auto issues in the near future, I do look forward to bringing my vehicles to J&W again. Thanks for taking care of us!

Had my turbo on my Ford Escape replaced. Alex was super helpful and went out of his way throughout my entire experience with them. They even charged me less than they originally quoted. Would highly recommend. :)

Great service! Only needed an inspection this time—they had several appointment times available within a day or two. The bay was available when I pulled up and I was back out the door within 10 minutes. Barely had time to get out an email, but that’s another kudos—great and secure wifi (definitely a big plus) in case your visit is a little longer.

While I hope to not need their services too often, I know that they’ll take great care of my vehicle (and me) when that time comes.

Best auto repair I've been to in years. My truck is my livelihood, and when I explained this to them, they not only worked me in their very busy schedule, but they were able to get me back up an running the very next day. The staff is friendly you can tell they like working there...this is 5 star worthy all the way around...so glad they are located in our little town!

Super quick and really nice people. Got my motorcycle inspection done here and it was only about 15 minutes.

Alex was easy to work with and quick to diagnose the issue(s) with our car and get it all repaired in one day. Fast to communicate as he made progress or found additional issues. We did everything over the phone. Happy to find a solid mechanic close to home.

These guys are fantastic! I called in on a whim (just days before Christmas), knowing that they’d probably not be able to fit me in before the new year since it’s their busy season. They referred me to John, who had just started the same day who took time out of his personal schedule to come meet me where our car had died, give us a jump, then helped us locate the part we needed (new alternator) and installed it for us all in the same afternoon. This included several back and forth trips for him as the repairman. To me, this is the definition of above and beyond customer service. If you want top notch service, J & W is your place. Thank you John for this exceptional experience!

I cannot give these people enough stars. They have saved me so many times when it comes to my car repairs. I cannot thank them enough. Only shop I would ever want to have hands on my car. Mechanics like the techs at J&W are rare. Quality work, trustworthy techs. Best place to bring your car.

If wish I could give J&W more than 5 stars! I LOVE this business, the people, their down to earth attitude and honesty. A great example is the reason I started going there and will as long as I live here and will enthusiastically recommend others to as well. My Subaru had an annoying rattle. First place I took it to said it was the heat shield and would need to be replaced for about $700-800 parts & labor!! My SIL was a mechanic and told me to tell them to just spot weld it. Shop said it was past being able to do that. Neighbor recommended J&W and will be forever grateful. They spot welded it and charged me $28! No that's not a typo. Over time Ive had to take it back a few times for the rattling because there's more than 1 shield and each tine they have tightened screws or welded it. The time finally came when it was no longer practical to keep fixing it as it was going to continue to rattle. There are 10 heat shields all together on a Subaru. J&W replaced them all for less in parts & labor than the original place wanted to charge me for one! THANK YOU J&W!! YOU ARE LITERALLY THE BEST!!

What a great experience! I needed a trailer hitch installed on my Corolla Hybrid. It was done quickly and expertly. The price was less than half of others that I had checked in the area. I've just found my "go to" automotive shop.
