Exceptional Patk, beautiful and entertaining for the entire family. Mini golf, skate park, water park, good size playground, several lakes, recreation center for events, gazebos/covered shelter for cooking out. Plenty of green space to spread out.

Bohrer Park is more than a park. It has a pleasant walking trail, ponds with geese, ducks, turtles, and seasonal landscaping throughout. Picnic tables, a super playground, and a large pool with slides, a water park for toddlers, a great skate park and a popular mini golf park, all make it a Gaithersburg must see. The Activity Center at Bohrer Park is interesting for its various entertainment schedules, business meetings, ongoing art displays, sports and exercise classes.

Nice little island of nature in the hustle and bustle of Gaithersburg and the 355/270 corridor. The trails are well kept and marked with tenth of a mile markers. Great to get a quick workout in, get the kiddos out and moving, and see some ducks and geese.

Love this park!! I walk my son's dog here at least twice a week and it's fantastic!! Lots of walking/biking paths, playground equipment, two small ponds (fishing ok), and plenty of green space. There are picnic pavilions, grills, horseshoe pits, skate park, water park, mini golf park, rec center with fitness center, basketball courts and lots of community activities. There is a special flag display for Memorial day weekend sponsored by the Rotary club. Easily one of the best parks in Montgomery County!

Big place with a lot of things to do. It has a nicely kept playground, a big green area for a nice walk, a pond, and gazebos with benches. Nearby there is , a mini-golf area, a water park, and a skate park. We will visit again to explore more.

I went here for a church picnic. The picnic here was spacious. There were grills. The area was not near hiking trails so we did not have people walking around.

Loved the Summerfest event! Moved to the area like a year ago and didn't know this park was so big! The lakes were fenced off for the event, which is super great for parents of little kids. Beautiful open fields for picnics and games and jogging. A very diverse community in Gaithersberg, and everyone gathers in good cheer on the holiday weekend!

Place is quiet, good kids play area, personally I love that swimming pool, nice place for picnic and walk. I was there last year, planning to be there this one too. Never tried the mini golf court.

A hidden gem! Nestled right off 355, the park is unexpected; vast and peaceful, with plenty of activities to choose from. Take a stroll with the dog or jog around the lake, go fishing, play mini golf (a great course!); enjoy the enormous playground, skate park, or expansive water park -- with a great kids water play area, and a "grown up" pool with long tubular waterslide. Fun for all!

Excellent park! We stopped here with our children (5 and under) and they had a blast on the playground which had age appropriate options for all of our young kids. There isn't shade on the playground but the benches were nice and a few big trees nearby can give you a place to sit in the shade. There are picnic pavilions and restrooms within eyesight of the playground. The walking path along the pond delighted our children-especially when they saw the animals that live under the bridges! There was a lot more to do here but we didn't have time! If you're traveling through the area and looking for a spot to run, this is it! We would stop back in a heart beat!

Highly, highly recommended!!!
Great place to have birthday parties... whether the birthday person is young or old, great get together place with families and friend, even coworkers get togethers.
The lifeguards are very attentive and are very, very aware of what's going on around them.
You can bring your own food or enjoy their food here, which is really good!!
Bohrer Park Thank you for the memories.

TLDR: Nice park for casual walking, dog-friendly (on leash, must pick up after them), ponds with wildlife (no swimming), sunny playground, picnic pavilions. Also, activity center, water park, mini golf, and a skate park (fees for water park and golf, not sure about the activity center).

A very nice and well manicured park. The grass is mowed and expansive but there are plenty of paved walking paths around. If you're looking for a hike, this is not the place, as all paths are very flat and gradual (nice for casual walking in the outdoors). Dogs are welcome on leash and you must pick up after them.

There is a pond you can walk around which houses turtles, and in the spring and early summer, geese and their goslings, and the occasional duck. There is a retaining pond closer to the road which can have the same creatures present. Entering the water is not allowed but fishing is allowed with a Maryland non-tidal fishing license. There are nice paths around both but the retaining pond has hardly any shade around it.

There is a playground which seems to be a moderate size (I believe it is painted metal and seems in good repair). The only issue is there is no shade over or around the outskirts (parents who will need to stand at the edge to watch younger children will be in the sun).

Pavilions with picnic tables are available for reservation. Otherwise, there is plenty of shade and flat ground to sit on.

Other amenities include the activity center, water park, mini golf course, and skate park. There is a fee for entry to the water park and mini golf but not to the park itself. There are also a few historic structures that you can admire from outside and read about on plaques.

The park can be accessed by car by turning next to the school, or if you live in the adjoining neighborhoods there are a few walking entrances. Parking is free as far as I know.

Always a great mix of kids with active and inviting parents. Never boring no matter how many times you go, great kite flying space, and open walking trails to cover a few miles!
