Immersed with the culture! No doubt people drive all the way from VA or different part of MD to have a meal here.

Foo was outstandingly good! We had the Taiwanese Chicken Popcorn and I forgot the noodles we ordered but it maybe plain looking but the taste was so rich.

Serving was fast as well and hands-on. The place can accommodate big groups for sure and they offer boba (Taiwan is known for it so this place will not fail you)

Love this place and will stop by again.

Wow! One of the best Asian restaurants I’ve been at! Never judge a book by its cover! Outside looked run down. Piles of pallets and the awning was worn, faded and torn. My wife and here sister went in…I follow!
A different atmosphere was inside! It was getting busy, and after we sat down my wife was like, “wow! Ask them what’s their dish?” So, I asked a table behind us about their dishes. Apparently they ate here before. We ended up getting a few of the dishes they ordered. The oyster pancakes, 韭黃香干肉絲
Shredded Pork w. Dried Bean curd & Chive, Sautéed Pig Liver w. Vegetable, 紅油耳絲
Spicy Sliced Pig Ear, 鹽酥雞
Fried Chicken w. Salt & Pepper which was awesome and recommended by several people there who have eaten there occasionally. I even asked other people about their dishes they got.
This was one of the best Taiwanese places I’ve eaten at! Check it out if you are in Rockville,Maryland. Right across the street is some of the best ice cream you’ll ever have!!
Thanks for stopping by! See you in the next review! #asianfood #taiwanesefood #bestfriedfish #oysterpancake

A authentic Taiwanese restaurant! Would definitely come back again when I visit Maryland in the future. Lots of Taiwanese special food that many Taiwanese restaurants in US does not even have it on their menu, not to mention the food quality. Ordered Four-herb soup ($8.95), Crispy Stinky Tofu ($12.95), Oyster Pancake ($10.95), Taiwanese-style Meat Pie ($6.95), Fried chicken with salt & pepper (aka popcorn chicken $7.95) , Pork Xiao Long Bao ($10.95) and Taiwanese shaved ice ($10.95).
All the dishes are good. Stinky Tofu is on the pricy side, but the quality is good. Oyster Pancake does have lots of oysters; good values. However, for those who are not from Taiwan, this dish is too alien for them to enjoy. I also enjoyed Taiwanese-style Meat Pie since I cannot remember last time I have it.. Xiao Long Bao is good but not particular stands out. Shaved ice is great too with lots of Taros but it's slightly pricy.
Overall, one of the few decent Taiwanese restaurants outside CA and NY; look forward to coming back again.

Simple restaurant with very attentive staff. Oyster vermicelli was a great bargain and had tons of actual oysters. Salt and pepper fish (not sure the exact English name) was impressive - perfect fry with light airy breading. The shaved ice is a must have especially in the summer.

We traveled all the way to Rockville, Maryland to try Taiwanese cuisine at this restaurant and our mission was a success. The food tasted great, portions were generous, and the service was nice.

Fantastic! Oyster omelet was so good with tender oysters, slightly crispy omelet. Stinky tofu was crisp and pungent, balanced with the cabbage. Veggies were fresh and flavorful. The shave ice was the most authentic I’ve had in the US— sooooooo good! Definitely worth a stop.

Oyster omelettes were 5 stars by themselves. Soo delicious and authentic tasting! And very hearty as a meal for one person. The veggie dish was okay - quite plain, but served as a nice complement to the other dishes. The skewered shrimp were an explosion of flavor and spice.

In our humble opinion, they have the best Taiwanese beef noodle soup and Fried chicken in town. The soup is rich and loaded with beef and spinach. The chicken is tender and flavorful. You got a good bang for your buck.

Great authentic Taiwanese food!
They have a great selection of Taiwanese dishes but since we plan to get shaved ice, we just got the braised beef noodle soup. Both flavors were just how we remembered them!

If you’re in the DMV area, this is probably the best option for authentic Taiwanese food. They serve up the same classic dishes you would find in Taiwan, and at a similar level of taste and quality. There are plenty of options that are palatable to someone who has never delved into Taiwanese cuisine before, so don’t be daunted by the large menu. The “Taiwanese Hamburger” and salt + pepper fried chicken are must-haves, as well as shaved ice for dessert.

We often make the trip up to Rockville from nova to eat here!

The dry pot is a favorite, but they have a ton of dishes.

The stinky tofu here is freaking amazing! The best I’ve ever had. Crispiness and juiciness all in one bite! Truly magical 🥰🦄🌈🤭

As somebody who’s half Taiwanese and regrettably hasn’t been back in a couple years— this was fantastic. Felt like a slice of Tucheng in MD, familiar and delicious. I will definitely be back with the rest of the family.

I have been searching for a place that serves Taiwanese Shaved Ice for so long and this restaurant truly delivers. They have personal sizes for 2 people, but they can also make large orders filled with all the toppings including M&Ms, red beans, taro, lotus root, condensed milk, lychee, oreos, and jelly.

The staff are incredibly kind (I spilled my tea all over) and they quickly rushed to help, and their portion sizes and prices are great! Speaking Chinese is a plus, but not needed.

This place reminds me of the restaurants in Taiwan. Amazing flavors and good- sized portions. I've only been able to find this place serving mushroom thick noodle soup (with pork or squid) and I love that dish! Their fried chicken, fried intestine, and noodles tastes authentic to the Asian palate, and you know it's always good when the wait staff can understand you in Chinese.
Free parking lot on the side of the building and easy to walk to the place. It's small, so make a reservation if you have a big party. Wait times are not so bad for small groups.

Went early before the dinner rush and had 3 dishes that reminded me of the food my mom used to make. Delicious! Seems like a really nice family restaurant.

I've changed my review to 5 stars. Here is my 2 part review (for groups that like duck and individuals on a budget) with extra notes at the bottom:

For people looking for a delicious group meal: We had the special "one duck 3 ways" which is SO WORTH IT. For $46 you get one large duck soup with cabbage and tofu, one full duck wrap platter (like Peking duck - this is by far the best I've EVER had), and one plate of stir fried duck with yellow chives. All three dishes were EXCELLENT we are considering coming back for this regularly... I want to comment especially on the Peking duck - what made it so good was well, everything, but the wrapper was so thin, translucent, yet strong enough to hold and wrap around a few pieces of duck, unlike other restaurants where it's thicker and sometimes dry and cracks easily. Also, the sauce I believe they prepare themselves - it isn't as thick as other restaurants and you can easily drizzle it on your duck rather than shaking a big blob from the spoon. And of course the duck itself was amazing - skin was crisp and meat tender. 11/10 would recommend.

For people looking for a budget meal that will still make you very happy and full: I recommend the pork stew on rice (lu rou fan); it's $3.25 for a bowl of, well, pork stew on rice with a stew-marinated egg. It's really delicious.

Extra notes: Shaved ice was too sweet for me and ice was rather chunky. Chicken with ginger in wine sauce was flavorful but a little on the salty side, but the bamboo shoots with pork and the loofa were good. The loofa is sooooooooo good. It's a silky vegetable that melts in your mouth and is very refreshing.

Apologies for the photos of half-eaten food. It was so good I forgot to take pics before digging in too far.

This was definitely a cafe for everyone to have lunch and dinner in daily basis.
It had very affordable price and incredible good quanlity for this price.
I tried noodles in pork and egg soup. Nothing surprised but still delicious at this price. The noodles were chewy.
I and my friend ordered fried tofu, fried chicken with salt and pepper, and Itenstine with blood. They all had a lot of amounts while maintained the good taste.
This place is where u can have lunch and dinner with your friend everyday.
