More Than Java Café

The breakfast sandwich and breakfast burrito my husband and I got was nothing short of phenomenal! Everything was perfectly seasoned! The salsa on the vegan breakfast burrito was full of flavor! The vegan sausage was so juicy and I am so happy they added spinach and fresh tomatoes to the sandwich it elevated it so much. Often times places fill breakfast burritos with extra cheese which some may like but I don’t prefer it so I really enjoyed the freshness of the veggies. My husband got a bacon egg and cheese sandwich on an everything bagel and he could not stop talking about how good it was. Whoever made the sandwich made it like they were making it for themselves. It was THAT good and they added plenty of delicious bacon to top it off. I also got a mango lemonade which was hands down the best lemonade ever. My husband ordered a green machine and was convinced there had to be added sugar because it was THAT good! My only complaint is that the store isn’t closer to my house. We were immediately greeted each time we walked in and the guy working at the register seemed genuinely appreciative of our visit. I can’t wait to go back!

Saw this spot on Instagram and it was highly rated so I tried it out! There was a line but they moved quickly and the wait for fresh food and drinks was pleasant. They’re in a great location, friendly staff, and the food is OUTSTANDING

Beware of the jerk chicken- it’s spicy but good

Stopped by late morning, the smell of jerk chicken reeled us in. I had jerk chicken salad on a house salad, my friend had jerk chicken/egg/swiss sandwich on choco bread. She had house made cold-pressed apple juice and I had drip coffee in the flavor of the day.

The food was absolutely delicious, just the right amount of spice on the chicken. She said the apple juice was the best cold pressed she ever had, and I got a refill on my coffee. Portions were generous, and service was great!

There is a Café in Laurel Maryland that has more than just coffee!! So YOU KNOW I had to go see what was up with it. I did. I’m glad. I’m full. Let me show you what I’m talking about…

Their Green Machine Smoothie (Large with pineapple, banana, kale, agave, & ginger $6.95). STAMP!! Refreshing, tasty, & fulfilling.

Their Jerk Chicken & Waffles ($12.95 with egg $1.95, & bacon $2.75). STAMP!! Oddly delicious!! The spice of the jerk, mixed with the sweetness of the maple syrup…WORKED!! Crispy bacon, & fluffy eggs too!!

Their Jerk Chicken Breakfast Sandwich (on coco bread with eggs, & Pepper Jack cheese $11.20). STAMP!! Again, oddly tasty!! This sandwich was packed with meat, & a pungent jerk sauce!! GET THIS!!

Their Jerk Chicken & Grits (Self explanatory $11.95). LIKE THAT!! Buttery, spicy, & meaty grits!!

Their Banana Pudding ($4.95). DELICIOUS! More bananas, & softened wafers would’ve made this better.

Their Lemon Cream Cheesecake Cake (homemade $5.75). STAMP!! Lemony, thick cut, with a stand out icing!!

Their Blueberry Pomegranate Tea, & Strawberry Lemonade ( house made $2.95 each). STAMP!! Palate cleansing, rich in flavor juices!!

Service was great. My fam loved the breakfast croissant with bacon and the turkey sausage, egg, & cheddar croissant. I had to add a lil salt n pepper to my egg, swiss, lettuce & tomato croissant but it was still great! Oh, and they have the BEST lemon pound cake! We have a new breakfast spot! 🖤

I love Java cafe! I started coming for the smoothies, but I love the breakfast and freshly made cold pressed juices and lemonades, and most importantly the wellness products. I buy the seamoss gel that the owner makes, along with other products like black seed oil, elderberry, ginger shots, loose teas, and turmeric. If you catch them when they’re fully stocked, there are even more products. It’s so great being able to go to local black owned spot that values wellness and makes the products easily accessible to the community! If that’s not enough, the couple that owns the shop are genuinely friendly and kind. Great customer service. I love stopping in weekly!

I came in and the lady was so nice and helpful! It was my first time trying this place and the breakfast sandwich is really good! The coffee is sweet and amazing! 10/10 recommend this place! NaNa made the juices that are in the front fridge and I can’t wait to try them!!! <3

I have visited this cafe a few times and I love it! The ambiance is so welcoming and vibrant. The staff is so friendly and warm. It is a small, cozy space with some art on the walls. I love that it is a locally black owned business that serves their community great food! Their bagel breakfast sandwiches are delicious, and their smoothies taste so natural. I would definitely recommend this spot for breakfast or when you’re grabbing something quick for lunch.

I loved the jerk chicken and waffle! So yummy. Very nice folks and great pricing. Wish they opened for more hours but their catering business is popping. Love this place

I have to go back and try something else. So I'll update the food ranking on my next sandwich later, because the staff, customers and overall interactions were amazing. The sweet potato rum cake, once I try that, I'll update also but the strawberry🍓🍋 was good 😋

Really awesome spot with the sweetest owners. I got their sea moss gel, banana pudding and curry chicken wrap and they were all amazing!!! Definitely going to be back soon.

This small joint is amazing. From the service to the food. I knew food was gonna hit when I took the first sip of my coffee. Will be coming here every chance I get

First I must apologize for not taking pictures of our wrap and BLT. They were too good and we were too hungry.

Finding a small Mom & Pop shop on Main St is always a good thing. The customer service is outstanding. I would come here just to say hi and get a smile back from everyone behind the counter.

We ordered a BLT on wheat and a Curry Chicken Salad Wrap. My Wife's Curry Chicken Salad Wrap was on point. She did the flavor was good and the chicken was cooked well. She would definitely get it again. The Wrap was fresh as well.

My BLT was hitting. I could have used more mayo but that is just because I love mayo more than the average person. The bacon was flavorful but not too salty and cooked just right. The lettuce and tomato were fresh and the bread was really good and hearty. I found out about the Coco bread after my order was prepared, I would have loved to try it on that because I love, love, love Coco bread and can eat it anyway. Their Coco bread was so good. I ate it plain. On a breakfast sandwich it would be amazing!

We both got a freshly made tea. My Wife got the Nana's Ginger Peach and I got the Nana's Ginger Mint. Both had amazing flavor and tasted fresh. A little sweet for our tastes straight so we needed to water it down, but if you like real down home "sweet tea" then you will enjoy them straight with no chaser :-)

Overall 5 star experience from start to finish. They will even send you a text when your order is ready. I love this spot and look forward to many more taste adventures for our pallete's.

My go-to spot for fresh, healthy meals & smoothies. I also buy their sea moss. Love this family oriented place. Nothing but good vibes here.

Came in not knowing exactly what I wanted. “Nana” helped me to make what I ordered even better. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was excellent.
I got an iced latte, but they have a lunch menu and a nice variety of desserts.
I would go again.

I definitely plan on coming back to this place. The people were very friendly, and you could tell that they genuinely kind and helpful! The food was great, and the place was very clean and nice!

Great experience. They happened to be having an event with a radio host so there were raffles and lots of fun. The service was great and so was our food. I had a delicious jerk chicken sandwich and a green smoothie. Ingredients were fresh and yummy like the sharp taste of the ginger in the smoothie and the bread from their baker.

This is a dope cafe on Main Street! The staff was friendly and social distancing is practiced. I had the veggie panini which was delicious! I would definitely go back to this spot. They sell herbs and offer vegan options as well. Kudos to this black-owned business! ✊🏾#IBuyBlack

Checked this place out with a friend and fell in love! Cute intimate spot to grab coffee or great food. Great customer service too. I’ll definitely be back.

I'm here almost every day. I love the sweets and frappes and just the environment, it's far more chill than Panera or star bucks. The service is always awesome.
