South Bay RV Park

Great campground with roomy paved sites. Well kept grounds. Did not check bathhouse as it is being renovated. We stopped overnight on our way to the keys. Plenty of room to leave the truck hooked to the fifth wheel (43’). Some road noise as noted by others but we slept fine with a fan on.

We stayed here 4 and a half months. Newbie 35' travel trailer full timers 1st spot. Met some great people, learned a lot. Quiet park, big dog friendly, nice lake to walk them around, washers and dryers work well, great staff. Joyce is so helpful and has the patience of a Saint! Thank you. Bathrooms are good, water pressure great in the shower. Wifi was good. Nice bike ride along the lake right outside of the rv park. Will definitely be back one day.

Wonderful place to stay.
The manager was really helpful after office was closed in the evening.

There is a phone number to call at the office door. LJ... the manager, she was really kind and had a very nice and suitable site available immediately.

Bathrooms and showers are clean. Laundry is also available, clean and in good condition. Make sure to have own quarters with you!
The community is very friendly.

Make sure to have a walk around the little lake and the canal to see the gators.
We are sorry that we had only 2 nights to stay.

We will show up, whenever we are in the area again.

I'll tell you whuuuuuut!!! This park is fantastic. Where else can you get beautiful grounds, water, no crowds, and full facilities for $28? We love these Florida county parks - they do a fantastic job with them. As my son would say...that's what's up!

Very, very nice campground! Exceptional clean, lawns are cut and well maintained. Lots are improved (paved) large and for the most part level. I would highly recommend staying here

Everything about this RV Campground is great. The sites are spacious and come with a picnic bench on a concrete slab, fire pit, and grill. They are dog friendly and have a walking path that is paved most of the way. It's rite on the lake if you fish and have a boat. There is a ramp just out the gate to the right. Laundry and showers. It's kept really clean. It's one of the best I have stayed at over the year and a half I have been living in my Fifth Wheel camper trailer. The staff have been great and accommodating. Over all it's one of the most reasonably priced camp grounds I have been to.

Nice small county park, if you like to fish and boat on Okeechobee this is the place. Friendly staff also.

It is an adventure being here! It is off the beaten path which is my favorite place to be. There is at least one crock in the pond so be aware and smart. But the park and shower house are nice. There is two washer and dryers in the shower house it is similar to one you would have at home. I think their is two or three different shower houses. Luckily every time we go over they are never busy. The laundry cost 2.50 to do one load so less expensive than other ones. And it is like a gated community we really enjoy it. This is the spot to come and relax. Every one has been so nice. People enjoy riding bikes around here so if you have one bring it along. We enjoy it so much we decided to stay a bit longer than we planned. We have went by others in the area and trust me this is the one you want to be at clean and spacious quite. Even when fully booked it's nice and calm.

We stayed here for Mother's Day weekend. It was absolutely wonderful easy check in and out. The place is well maintained. I will say it is one of the nicer places we have stayed. Very quiet and people that stay there are very friendly and respectful. Be prepared with mosquito repellent as you are on the canals. We loved it so much we want to go back next weekend.

This was my very first camping experience and I loved it! Shower and bathroom were very clean. They have washers/dryers too (no detergent to buy though) - we didn't use them but it was good to know it's there. I felt very safe. The alligators in the lake are small and cute and they didn't bother us one bit. If you're looking to camp (vs RV) I would recommend this place. It was $22 for 2 people for 1 night.

We are came looking to get some downtime, but Everglades and Big Cypress called our name.
South Bay RV Park is a super clean park. Showers are hot restrooms are clean. Full timers are friendly and made us feel welcome.
Cool little pond little gator in it for the excitement. Saw a red-tailed hawk go after a flock of Ibis.
Park feels safe with gated entrance.

This county park is one of the nicest RV Parks we've stayed in. The sites are all padded, very spacious, and very well maintained. You are located on the Okeechobee Trail just on the south rim of the lake. The park has multiple playgrounds, fishing pond, and other amenities. The bike trail/hiking path on the Levee is an excellent outdoor adventure. The workers are friendly and courteous. We stayed here in a 45' fifth wheel and did not even need to unhook the truck. There are sites near the road, which we were in, that do have road noise. However, you cannot see the road because of the treeline. We are not bothered by road noise, so it wasn't an issue.

Wonderful, small park! Easy access and located not too far from Palm Beach, Miami and everglade national Park. Great day trips. Nice home base. Well maintained and managed. Plenty of room at each site, not side by side. Concrete pads with patio, full hookups. There's even a pond, among other amenities. Free WiFi and picked up 15 local channels on TV. Enjoyed cycling on the levey next to the lake. Some construction though, so it didn't go as far as we'd like. Great people, clean. Didn't use restroom/ shows or laundry. All was very affordable. About 30 bucks a night. There are weekly/monthly rates too. The only con would be slight road noise, depending on your location in the park. Didn't bother us. We'd stay again.

Clean quiet yet close to everything. The people are courteous and nice and the people that work there like Miss Joyce is very nice and tries to help as much as she can
I love it . I just wish you could stay more than 5 months in one year. That's the only down side of this place and rental spot is 720.00 a month. Yeah a little too much. But everything else is a ok !

Clean park, good staff. It was extremely spacious and quiet. We had a gator in the water about 20 ft from our trailer which was cool. He wasn't coming out of the water towards us, but kept eating the fish we were trying to catch.

Flawless and smooth check-in process. Large sites with plenty of space between campsites. Quite, clean and friendly neighbors. Very enjoyable.

Great place that is meticulously maintained. All the streets and the nearly perfectly level campsites are paved. Water, sewer, electric, and free WiFi. For security, there is a moat around the campground with alligators in it and the entry and exit gates are electric. Just across the street is a levee around Lake Okeechobee with a paved bike path on top of the levee. I will come here again.

This place felt and looked like heaven after a hard day’s drive. I honestly can’t rave enough about how AMAZING LJ is, absolutely above and beyond superb customer service and just all around the nicest most welcoming person we ever could have met out on the road. I wish I could give this place, and LJ, 10 stars!! Genuinely, the best place we stayed while traveling cross-country.
