Amherst Arms worked with our local Trail Life troop to supply us with equipment and leader training for our new archery program. We found them to be thorough, knowledgeable, and interested in helping us get started. We found Amherst Arms because some of our young men were already dealing with them and gave then high reviews. A special thanks to the owner Brian, and secretary Shannon. One couldn't ask for a better place.

This archery dealer features one of the best homeschool archery teams in the world, coached by people who really care! The range is a bright, cheery place and the people are good. They have a great selection of hunting guns too. Really great Hoyt dealer!

They do carry black powder and reloading supplies. No lack of stock here and they'll order something if you're looking for something specific that they don't have currently.

Best archery Supply and Range in Virginia! Definitely Recommend.

Super nice folks who will help with any questions you have about fishing, archery, or hunting. Especially great for kids interested in archery, with an excellent range that's very inexpensive. If you buy your bow from them, they'll adjust the pull weight for free as many times as you need them to. They're a little on the pricey side for the big items, but you're paying for their expertise and supporting a local small business at the same time.

They also carry live bait, including minnows, a good selection of lures, and all kinds of accessories. Plus they sponsor a Junior Olympic Archery Development program. If you're interested in any of these sports, they're definitely worth a visit.

We have brought our oldest daughter to Amherst Arms for archery for more than a year now. The staff and coaches here are incredibly supportive and encouraging for kids. Our daughter has grown in confidence and skill as a person and archer since joining their homeschool archery program. We will be members for as long as our daughter wants to practice this life-long sport.

A great experience. I had a reasonably difficult transaction I needed to do, and Amherst Arms knew exactly what was needed and gave some great advice. Counter staff was super friendly and everyone I spoke to was very knowledgeable. Great store!
