Locally-owned business that sponsors and supports quite a few local organizations and non-profits. The prices aren't as low as some of the big-box stores, but I guess some of what you wind up paying for is service... which is typically good. A pretty decent selection of ammo, black powder, and reloading supplies. The gun department sells new guns (no used) at prices typically about $50 less than what the local gun shows will price them at.

This is your typical Alaskan small business. It's not a giant place that you can get lost in. They have quality merchandise at Fairbanks prices. Their service is good and fast. If they don't have something in stock they'll let you know where else you can look for it in town.

A unique local business that has just about everything you are looking for. There are all sorts of items for the outdoors as well as BBQ items. They have hunting, fishing, and trapping items. It's worth a look if you haven't stopped by.

Total shout out to the cashier at frontier outfitters last night!! I just realized she wasn't being friendly and helpful she totally thought I was a shoplifter. She never left my side had me try on snow pants in the middle of the aisle and even let me look at myself in a dressing room mirror !!! Not that I am ungrateful at all I bought a badass coat and matching snow pants.seriously cheaper and way better quality then fred and walmart!!! A pair of warm gloves and full service assistance!! So not sure if it's a rant or rav but I paid the amazingly good price of $166 for quality winter gear in Cash and the look on the cashier face was dumbfounded whole time thinking I was a theif!and i was happy to finaly get good gear!lol

Great help, there employees are very knowledgeable on anything that they sell. Store has everything you need and a bunch of more things you want. I have honestly never had a bad experience once in the 5 years I been going there. Much nicer and better pricing then sportsman warehouse.

Great store. Lots of selection and has many items not carried by other "Box" stores around Fairbanks. Staff is helpful and personable, prices reasonably competitive. As far as Federally provided Food Stamps entitling you to a State discounted "low-Income" hunting license, they are completely separate criteria, and it is not up to an individual retailer to make exceptions when it comes to licensing fees. Give Frontier and try and you will be back. Support your local businesses.

Wow this place was huge I visited family there and we all decided to go here, I had lost them while stopping to look at stuff and couldn't find them so I went to the front and the girls said have you tried down stairs I was like downstairs? And they pointed the way, I went to check still not finding them came back up and found them and said I went downstairs to see if you where there and lol they didn't even know there was a downstairs so we all laughed and went downstairs to check it out and my son had said he and his buddies been going there since they lived there and never knew that the was a downstairs...... so go check it out fairbanks.. it's there .. it's a whole new world😁

Not a big box retailer. I enjoy shopping here when I'm looking for a more approachable staff. They give you the time to show and explain what ever you have questions on. Prices are reasonable and they carry all of the big brands you want to buy

My husband loves this place and I honestly don't mind coming here every weekend either. Heh.
Frontier Outfitters has a very wide variety of goods - fishing, hunting, camping, clothes, knives, guns, canning, lodge cast iron goods, and so much more. My favorite thing here is all of the Lodge cast iron skillets and cook books and pans. My husband loves looking at the guns and knives. They have good boots and shoes here and a wide variety of women's and mens clothing to choose from too.
The staff here are funny, helpful, and friendly. They have pretty good prices and so many things to look at. I swear I find something new every time we come here - believe me, it's at least once every single weekend. And I'm still loving it.
