Mercy Health - St. Vincent Medical Center Emergency Department

My husband spent his final few days in the Neuro ICU. A fantastic group of people. All of the Doctors and Nurses were exceptional, empathetic, helpful and compassionate. They made sure that my husband was comfortable and clean. Even though he was brain dead, they still took the utmost care of him. I will never forget their kindness to me and their sympathy during my grief. God Bless them.

My mother worked a major role in cardio vascular for 10 years here , I went and did stuff at this hospital also . This hospital RULES!!! ❤❤ I am going to makes sure I get it as much credibility as I can ❤

Staff is great, so was the nurses and doctor. In and out . Very happy I chose the place. I've had to sit in emergency rooms half the night on more than one occasion in California, just to be seen.

I had to go to the hospital Monday, July 10 at 615pm. I had the best most exceptional care, it was unbelievable. The nurse who took care of me, Jessica in the emergency room department was absolutely the sweetest person I have ever had to deal with. She was on top of everything I needed done. It was absolutely amazing to have a person who actually cared and gave you compassion as I needed it. She always kept coming in and checking on me while we waited for test results and such. I have never had suck great care as I did that day. I honestly hope she stays there because she is so amazing..she is one amazing nurse.

I didn't go to the ER. I was there to visit with my uncle. Everyone was so very nice and helpful, especially Miss Carletta!! Not only did she help us find a bathroom, she also helped us get to our destination! When we were done visiting she helped bring our car around(we used the valet parking) and helped my parents get in the car!! It is such a blessing meeting someone that is beyond special!! Amazing labor experience! My water ruptured and I went to L&D, got into a (comfortable,nice size) room without delay and they started prepping me for labor. My nurse Jeri was incredible and anything I needed she took care of. They did everything they could to help me induce and give birth naturally but after 38 hours I eventually decided on a c section. The OB came in and went over everything with me, very thorough. My night nurse, Lisa gave me a pep talk, helped me with breathing and was just there for me the entire time. She went over everything with me and what to expect so when I got to the OR there was no surprises. The team that performed my c section was incredible too. They talked me through my worries and made fun conversation. They also let us get some beautiful, intimate pics. to add, this was on a holiday weekend! So my OB was unavailable but It was a better experience than I expected. I would recommend their L&D department to Any and every one.

I would like to say thank you to the medical staff working on the 7th floor labor and delivery and postpartum unit. I was so blessed by the care I received and a few nurses that names I can remember Cindy, Pam, Katie,Laura, Linda , Sam, Megan and many nurses that went above and beyond. It blew my mind how much they cared. I couldn't believe that I got such beautiful care. Thank you all I forgot some names but thank you. St. Vs, please honor your 7th floor nurses in labor and delivery and postpartum unit.

I am only sharing this because the nurse on my fathers case. My father was admitted into a neurological ICU. His main nurse Emily was amazing. She went above and beyond for me and my family in one of the worst times of our lives. She was there for me whenever I was there alone. I hope this gets to the upper management of the hospital so that she can get some kind of recognition.

I can’t thank the staff here enough for helping my son! After being turned away by multiple different professionals elsewhere, I took him to the ER. They immediately took us seriously, got him help, and kept me updated every step of the way. I’d give 100 stars if I could!

I have had both my babies here! This is the best hospital in my opinion. The staff and doctors were amazing and kept me in the loop on everything they were planning. Both my girls were born early due to health problems. They got me admitted fast and under the best care for me and both my girls. I now have a healthy 4 year old and a healthy 2 month old. Couldn't have picked a better hospital to deliver!!!

These wonderful people worked day and night for 3 days to save my life during and after my heart attack. From the ambulance crew to the discharge crew, every single person made it their mission to ensure that I’d go home to my family. I can’t say how much I love and appreciate them! There are no better people on this planet! THANK YOU!!!

Just spent the worst part of 3 days at St. V’s as the Maternity/Delivery/NICU team cared for my daughter and her family.

I have never seen such compassion, competence and professionalism out of a group of caregivers in my life. Each one of them knew the priority and communicated clearly over a difficult 72 hours. Great job by the entire staff.

The doctors and nurses in the St. Vincents ICU managed the final days of my father's life with compassion and patience for him and our family. They provided my father with comfort and quality care, while providing my family with all the information necessary to make the most difficult decision. They were excellent and we are deeply grateful.

The labor and delivery/postpartum ward as well as the NICU at St V's are absolutley phenomenal. The nurses are amazing, kind, caring, and helpful. I was there for longer than usual due to some health complications and they took absolute great care of me. My son also had to go to the NICU for a couple of days and they were amazing. They helped him get better in no time and they were extremely reassuring, helpful, and compassionate. I am so thankful for my experience here. Even though it wasn't the experience that I intended to have originally, they made it easy and comfortable despite all of the setbacks we had. Thank you to the whole labor and delivery, postpartum, and NICU teams that work here, you guys are phenomenal ❤.

My husband recently had scheduled surgery at St. Vincent hospital. As a retired RN, I had a good insight into the care team responsible from his pre-op to post-op to discharge care.
I was so impressed by all factions of his care. Informative, helpful, pleasant & caring all played a big part in his swift recovery & my peace of mind that he was in expert hands.
Would not hesitate to be personally admitted or have family members admitted to St V's.

Came to the ER and honestly I have never had such an amazing staff be so attentive and listen to me. The doctor was amazing. I won't be going to any other hospital in the future.

This hospital is phenomenal. I have always been treated very well in the ER. The staff are top notch. I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else for a true emergency. The only negatives are some of the other patients that use the ER as entertainment or something to do. I actually heard someone yelling at a nurse that they wanted a sandwich and wanted it now. I feel for the nurses that get treated like waitstaff. But some of those crazies can be entertaining. Also several HOT male nurses.

Recently had my son here and I was very well taken care of! I wish I had all my children here! I've never been so taken care of after a csection, they've been on top of my pain and they've been in to check on me but still giving my son, husband and I our privacy.
Normally a hospital stay for me involves a grouchy nurse and during this visit I didn't have one! It's truly been a great experience! Thankful for the staff and doctors that took care of my son and I! You guys are outstanding thank you for everything!

My 8yrs. old child was admitted for complications from the flu. The pediatric nurses and doctors were ALL exceptional with her. All but one nurse, who I understand was only doing her job. But show a little compassion.
