Szalay's Farm & Market

First thing I saw when I pulled up what's the good amount of parking across the street easily accessed. Second thing where these little covered seating areas that would protect you from the Sun and give you a nice Airy outdoor eating option. The market itself was well laid out and easily navigated with wide aisles. There were plenty of vegetables, fruits, honey, local products available to choose from at reasonable prices. The line moved quickly. They take credit cards but seem to prefer cash. There were cold drinks available as well. The areas lovely near the falls and other walking areas making this an excellent place to stop for a quick snack while spending the day with the family hiking or fishing. The staff was friendly but low pressure. The radishes we got were softer with big are spaces in the middle so that was not good but everything else was delicious.

If you want fresh fruit and vegetables (especially corn), this is the place to go. Everything is extremely fresh without spots or bruises. At the side of the market area is a place to buy fruit sundaes, hot corn, and hotdogs. You can see why it is a favorite among the locals.

Fabulous farmers market! A Cuyahoga Cultural experience. We were riding through on the Ohio to Erie Trail. The fresh squeezed juice and baked goods were delicious. The live music and creative seating were a win. Great way to relax, people watch and enjoy the local culture.

Great for families and friends to grab lunch and listen to live music. Also a beautiful fresh farmers market and flower market with a variety of produce along with breads, pies, honeys, salsa, and other handmade goods.

Great little spot on the way to ledges. Great market with swings, corn, lunch items and even ice cream.

We were visiting the national park and came across this local farmers market. This place is very nice. They had a corn maze, pumpkins, and all of the items you need to decorate for Halloween.

They have a ton of fresh local vegetables and other treats for purchase. We loved all of the pumpkins, displays, and areas you can sit and hangout. There is a ton of parking onsite.

There is always a lot of activity at Szalays. Their corn is the absolute best! If you've never tried it, don't wait. One taste, and you'll be hooked. There is always a great selection of produce available. The variety of baked goods is also extensive. Our personal favorite is the cranberry walnut grain bread. It has a solid, dense, rich texture and quite flavorful. We have never taken advantage of the menu items available to eat on the premises. However, many people do. The music, large multi person facing swings, and a corn "throne" for photo opportunities add a festive touch to the business. Szalays is an Akron treasure, and well worth the visit.

It's a fun family friendly farm market. Fruits and vegetables, and local products, jams, sauces. Seasonal market. Weekends music, and food stands open, fall time is the best!! They also have a corn maze! Towpath trail close by, I have rode there on my bike! Be mindful to take cash or checks, they DO NOT take credit cards!!

Something for everyone here, such a huge and vast selection of different pumpkins, gourds, corn and other fall decorations.
Pumpkins in every size from small to a 4 man carry back to the car.
Nice farmers market with anything you can think of as well.
The kids and family said everything they got at the snack bar was yummy.

They did a great job at decorations and decorating each station. Alot of thought went into it.
The entire family, from 1 year old up to almost 60 years old, had a wonderful afternoon here.

Great local produce. Great variety and very fresh. 3 acre corn maze in the fall, as well as pumpkins of all shapes and sizes.

Friendly and helpful staff. There’s a 99 cent clearance section for damages produce that is a great way to get a quick sample of something for cheap. Plenty of parking. There’s an outdoor seating area for dining if you wanna snack on site.

Amazing farm market with wonderful fresh produce and so much more! They have outdoor seating where you can enjoy fire roasted corn on the cob, fresh hot sandwiches, and home made cobbler and ice cream. A great place to bring the family.

Great open air market. There corn, growing on sight, is so sweet and delicious. From fresh fruits of all kinds to rows and rows of pumpkins in fall, there's something for everyone. They also have a corn maze and hayrides for the kids.

Such an amazing & fun place to visit for excellent fresh produce and much more in the heart of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park!
Be sure to grab an ear of roasted corn on the cob! Live music on the weekends, and plenty of creative seating options spread throughout the grounds. The best pumpkin selection in the fall, and don’t miss out on the fresh baked apple fritters!

Perfect for a fun fall day! They have a TRUE corn maze (other places say they have a corn maze but it’s more of an easy corn path lol) and the market + pumpkins are very decently priced. I recommend bringing cash with you since they are cash only - there is an ATM there, but very long line on busy days or they run out + have to restock. Lots of great photo spots!!

Love all the fresh fruits and vegetables and great local bread. And it's fun swings, and seeing the train go by.

We love going to Szalay's on the weekends in the summer... the vibe is that of a lazy sunshiny day and is just very relaxing after a hectic week.

My grandkids love going here with me, it's a tradition for us to get a fresh ear of corn, a fresh squeezed lemonade, and an ice cream cone.

My mom enjoys sitting listening to live music while enjoying her lemonade or ice cream.

I love getting fresh fruits and vegetables from a locally owned farm market.

Had a great experience here. It was definitely very very crowded, however we did not wait long at the ice cream and corn booths. Great time people watching, and there was even live music which was fun. Parking is a bit hectic, I would suggest not trying to park in the little lot by the corn maze. Just find something on the street. Will be easier when it comes time to leave.

Amazing sweet corn! Also we love going here in the fall for pumpkins and apple cider. A fun spot that the whole family enjoys.

I always love coming here. The staff is very friendly and the selection of produce is great. The corn is to die for and there's also an ice cream stand. There's live entertainment as well on the weekends. It's a great time for shopping and to just relax a bit.
