Red Roof Inn Stockton

Ignore the 2 stars some people have left. It’s literally right off the freeway. I stayed on the 3rd floor away from I5 so it was quieter. Had a palm tree canal view. This hotel has a continental breakfast too. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom shower surround was marble slab, nice.

Cesar was very helpful and welcoming, opened the door with a smile and was very engaging. I’ll be back.

The room was really nice, flew in from Oklahoma and the lady at the front desk was extremely nice and helpful. After flying for almost 2 days she welcomed me with open arms❤ got me in a comfortable room really quick, if she had only knew how my day had went it. I appreciate everything here!

Red Roof has been awesome….they stay on the cheaper side but rooms are decent and there is a pool. I especially appreciate the staff from front desk to the security dude. They cool as hell and don’t be all in your business like that. They are welcoming and super personable. Real people :) know that they want a $50 cash deposit but if you renew they just let you keep the same $50 down so they ain’t trying to hustle you or hold your money from your deposit for 14 days like some of these other spots around here. Thanks red roof for letting me stay with ya’ll for most of my travel nurse contract and thank you for breakfast every morning. I would say that some different sauces and or flavors to go on the waffles would be extra cool (chocolate, peanut butter, caramel, raspberry, or strawberry and some whip cream :) :) :) yummmy

I can't help but say nice things about this motel. I was in a pinch on test day and needed to print out my exam. I haven't been a common face on the premises, but that didn't matter to Cesar at all. He went the extra mile to print my test out for me. Overall I said all that to say this place exudes hospitality, kindness, service, and resourcefulness. Kindness goes a long way. Thank you again Cesar!!!

I always stay here when traveling with my dogs. The rooms have always been clean and comfortable. If you stay on the back side of the hotel there is some freeway noise, but it is minimal. The staff is always friendly, and this time, pulling a trailer, they made sure my husband was parked in a safe area where they could keep an extra eye on it. That's good service!

This place is amazing and are very kind. And the rooms are always clean and tighty.

The staff at this hotel are very helpful and friendly. I really enjoyed staying here because of the friendliness of the staff. The breakfast was very good and the cable on their T. V. Was better than most of the other hotels. The hotel is not as up to date as some of the other hotels but it makes up for it with the other things it offers. You will enjoy staying at this hotel.

Classical motel behind highway on the way to San Jose, San Francisco, Sacramento etc. including breakfast.

This is a very good place. I would absolutely recommend it. Affordable, clean, and no major issues.

It is significantly better than most motels in the area for a similar price. If you even go down by $10-20 per night, there is a DRASTIC difference in quality.

Here's the good stuff:

The sheets, pillows, towels, room, bathroom, and mini fridge all smelled clean. Non-smoking actually meant no one had smoked in the room. The bed was comfy: squishy enough to be cozy and firm enough to support a spine well. The bedding was soft and warm. Both sides of the bed have an overhead lamp for late night reading.

AC/heater worked well, could be adjusted to turn on the hot or cold air at a specific temperature, and had no unpleasant smell when turned on. A constant fan with no hot or cold air could be turned on as well.

Plenty of plugs for electronics by the desk, the sink, and the bed. Each end table has a small power strip of four plugs built directly into it.

TV and remote worked fine. Plenty of channels for daytime and nighttime entertainment.

The WiFi is a little inconsistent if you move around the room suddenly. Data service isn't that great here so mobile devices may have a bit of trouble. The only time I encountered an issue was when I was walking around the room trying to talk on the phone. It got slightly garbled. Still, it's there, it's free, and if you are not running around the room it can stream video just fine.

The shower whined for about a minute after it was turned on but then it went away. Water pressure was GREAT. Adjustable head so tall people could use it without bending or squatting. Big tub if you prefer a soak instead. The directions for hot and cold on the shower were reversed but I caught on pretty quick.

I was quite happy to see REAL toilet paper. It wasn't the tissue paper you usually see in public places. It was actually decent. Maybe not the softest or thickest but certainly usable without issues or regrets.

Check in was fairly quick and easy. They made sure I had a parking permit so I wasn't towed. The staff members I dealt with were pleasant and helpful. Check out was equally fast and pleasant. They sent housekeeping to quickly look at the room and confirm it was not damaged. I received my full deposit back.

Well-lit parking lot with plenty of spaces. Easy to see my car from the unit.

The lobby has free breakfast from 6:30 to 9:30 with waffles, cereal, coffee, etc in the lobby. Didn't check it out though because I like to rise late.

I also didn't use the pool because it's October. It seemed fine when I looked at it through the gate though.

I tried to upload a short video to showcase the lack of sound once you get into the room. It is right next to the highway but once you close the door you can't even hear it. That is WONDERFUL. The only outside noises I can hear are when someone is right outside the door. The soundproofing from the highway is easily my favorite part. It is what I worried about the most when I picked The red roof inn.

The parts with room for improvement:

While the freeway can't be heard, the plumbing from the surrounding units can be heard quite clearly. This isn't a big issue cuz it's only for a couple minutes. I could not hear talking or television sets even from adjoining units.

My room keys stopped working on the second day so I had to get them reset. No big deal. Quick trip to the front desk and they fixed them in under a minute.

The mini fridge has no guard or separate space for frozen items. Things on top, at the back, and sometimes even the bottom will freeze rather than just stay cold. However, anyone who has used a mini fridge is already aware of their short comings. You can adjust how cold it is to mediate this. This is standard and not really an issue, just a heads up.

None of these drawbacks are bad enough to be a deal breaker and none of them are particularly bad in general.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay here very much.

Checked in and the front desk staff was so friendly. Engaged with us during check in and even offered us coffee in the lobby. Room was very clean, ample supply of towels and toilet paper. The room had a fridge and microwave which we loved. Another plus is the room had flat screen TV with cable as well as WiFi. The bed was very comfy and the pool was clean and enjoyable. I loved that the housekeepers allowed us to sleep and didn’t come knocking on our door. When we checked out, we were greeted by a housekeeper in front of the office with a smile and warm farewell. Very nice staff at the location.

The only con I had to place is that apparently someone’s car got hit in the parking lot and there were ladies yelling about it right outside my room at 6 or 7 a.m.

Other than that, great experience 👍🏼 I definitely will return. Thanks Red Roof for a great stay!

They are trying to be a clean safe hotel. Fabriola was awesome and super friendly each time I did business with her. They still have to weed out the undiserables that stand in the doorways in there lingerie and get rid of the pet policy omg! Pool could use more upkeep and daily cleaning especially it being summer and people are in and out the pool.
Free breakfast Waffles, Toast and watery oatmeal Bananas one day.

It was an amazing stay overall. I had a fun experience. The rooms were clean and customer service was great! I’ll definitely be staying here more often and my family definitely loved it. I felt comfy and cozy great hotel to stay in!

I am only writing this review because of Karol the front desk host that went out of his way to make sure me and my friend were taken care of, we work for a moving company and had a large moving truck that he made accommodation for, suggesting where we should park and gave us rooms where we would be able to see the truck just by opening the curtain. The area is a little rough and having a customers HHG's in the back of the truck brings a little stress to making sure nothing gets taken or damaged. Karol eased our mind showing us that cameras cover the entire parking lot and the truck could be parked right outside our room. He was quick, efficient on check in and got us in our room within 10 minutes of arriving on the property. Red Roof Inn should hire more Karol's everywhere.

Freaking rooms are extremely comfortable. I passed out immediately.

It is with great pleasure to speak about the Red Roof Inn in Stockton, CA . I am a single mom of 5 kids ranging in ages of 28 yrs to 5 yrs so safety, cleanliness, friendliness and cost efficient are priorities to me! The entire staff has been so helpful and patient with me. I would recommend this hotel to all my family and friends.

Great value for a stopover on our trip. We just needed a comfortable and clean room, bed and shower, and they exceeded expectations. Basic breakfast with waffle maker. Great staff.
