We had a referral from our friend Amanda who is a Vet tech at Dix Hills Animal Hospital
We had a great first experience
I like that Dr Ali did not come in treatment room and start touching my dog right away.
She let him listen to her talking to me first to get him comfortable seeing and listening to her. She listened to my concerns and we agreed to any treatment before she did it
The vet techs Nora and Kenny were super nice and helpful and the front desk was very nice as well. I am hopeful the medicine and shampoo and topical spray will help his skin condition

In a word, Dr. Alison Rhein!! She has been my dog's veterinarian for 16 years and my 2 dogs before that. She is warm and friendly while being a wonderful vet and diagnostician. The vet techs (Austin's the best) are all wonderful as is the front desk staff. I would never go anywhere else and I would recommend DHAH to anyone.

The kindest, most compassionate staff I have ever encountered. They saw my bulldog only once before he passed, but the follow up and consideration I received was well beyond that from vets who had cared for my dog for years prior. I am touched more than words can express. When I am finally able to get another pet, the only place I would ever bring him/her for care is Dix Hills Animal Hospital.

Dr.Ravitz is kind and attentive and gave me and my cat a wonderful experience. The techs, assistants and receptionists are all professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I couldn’t recommend them more. By far the best vet experience I’ve had on the island. Thank you!

Dr Wisher examined my lethargic dog and was able to order the appropriate tests immediately so a proper diagnosis could be made. The compassion in which she delivered the painful news and the explanation of the options were clear, so that my family could make an informed decision. We opted for surgery, and was confident in her skillful training and experience that we had made the best choice. Her bedside manner and kindness was most comforting. The team of techs and her partner Dr Johnson was very reassuring. We trust that they cared for our boy and did every thing in their power to treat him. I would refer anyone with a pet to go to trust their animal with this practice. We are grateful for all they have done to give our Lab "Teddy " the best outcome. We now wait for biopsy but have a strong belief that everything was done for the best possible chance for more years with our beloved boy.

I have been taking all my dogs there for over 25 years. Staff is always pleasant, professional and knowledgeable. Dr. Rhein was a real lifesaver for my Shepherd Chance when he needed surgery and I got to have another year with him.
Dix Hills Animal Hospital offers the latest in treatment,they take the time to discuss all options with you from choosing the right flea treatment to the most serious and are helpful guiding you to the right choice. I recommend them 1000%.

They are excellent veterinarian s, very clean and treat your dog like royalty. They are extremely expensive, I don't think I can continue to bring my dog here

I am grateful to this lovely team who took the time to get to know my boy. They helped him to be calm and comfortable while having his nails cut and blood drawn. I’ve been to many vets having lived in 7 different states. Dix Hills is, by far, in my top 3.

The staff here is simply the best. I called a few vetainary care facilities prior, and they kept on pushing an appointment out 2 days. You can't wait two or more days when it comes to your family. German Sheppards don't tell you when things hurt, but Dix Hills Animal Hospital has provided the best service to my family. I 100% recommend them. Dix Hills Animal Hospital works very closely with the cat rescue I adopted my three cats from. My foster that I adopted was recently seen at Dix Hills Animal Hospital, and the staff and service were excellent. The vet was attentive, kind and even gave him a little treat while he was getting his shots. When I discussed an issue with her, she provided excellent tips and advice. I would definitely recommend them, and plan on taking my cats back.

Cant be more happy with their Veterinary care for our little Daisy. They are so friendly, polite, knowledgeable - and truly treat your pets like family. Easy to get appointments, which is a plus as our previous vet, it was impossible to get something the same week of calling. They are fantastic five stars!

Dr. Ali, Dr. Ravitz & Dr. Wisher are all amazing. I'm there frequently having a dog with various health issues. The quality of care from the doctors, vet techs & front desk are top notch.

Absolutely wonderful! Dr Ali and the entire staff at Dix Hills Animal Hospital are smart, caring, compassionate and provide outstanding care. We have been taking our beloved pup here for over 15 years and they have seen her through her puppy years, two procedures, a few illnesses and a lot of well care over these years. Our pup is now in her senior season and needs a bit more care and compassion and this team is doing a stellar job delivering this level of care. Thank you DHAH!

Dr. Johnson and crew were so patient and caring with my rescued frenchie, Betty. I had many concerns and they put me at ease with their expertise and truly helped do what’s best for both Betty and family. Fees are reasonable and I’m thankful to be part of a practice that looks out for both pet and owner. Thank you!
