Car-X Tire & Auto

I grew up believing that chain repair shops are usually more likely to recommend unnecessary repairs and charge way more than smaller shops. That may be true, but THIS CarX location has ALWAYS been more than fair to me and my family…we’ve been bringing our cars here for years and have always been treated well, charged reasonable rates for repairs and they’ve caught and fixed things that other shops couldn’t figure out. We’ll keep coming here as long as they are still managed by Lee Bailey, who always gives us great service.

I got my car fixed here, everybody was very professional, very polite, and they did a great job. I've pretty much always gone to Car-X for vehicle repairs and I'm glad that after moving there is another Great location near me

Had a tire go down on me during a long road trip. Called up this location at 5:30. Even though they close at 6, they got me in, found the leak, and had a new tire on in 20 minutes. They didn't upsell me on a better, higher mileage tire, and didn't try to sell me all 4 for a set. Excellent experience.

Lee and his team have worked on all of our cars for the last couple years and have always done an outstanding job. He’s never tried to upsell us on anything we didn’t 1000% need, he always explains exactly why we need something or what can wait, and he always gets the work done as close as possible to when we need it back. With that being said, my fiance works on cars on the side and Lee and his team at car x are the only people he trusts to do the work he doesn’t have the time to do himself so that’s saying something in itself. I would recommend this car x to ANYONE that needs work done. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Drew's wife is writing this review. I stopped in hoping they would check my tire pressure. I knew it was a long shot bc the blizzard was a couple days prior and they would be very busy. But Lee helped me right away! I didn't have to wait. He checked every tire and filled each accordingly. He didn't seem bothered in the least. Great customer service!

Eastgate Car-X has awesome service! Just an oil change this time. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I was in and out quickly which is great if you’re on a lunch break!

Every detail I asked for was covered! Nice job! Even when I asked specific questions, the response was positive. Even had the opportunity to show a young technician how they had the model year molded into the taillight plastic (a classic car from the 60's was in the shop, too.

I have been going to Car-X in Eastgate for a long time, it has been hands down the best place I'll ever take my Jeeps to. They treat my vehicle like their own, prices are more than fair and the work is quality. Lee and his team are great people and have the knowledge to perform any job on any vehicle. I choose Car-X over most of the previous Jeep mechanics I've used in the past - if that doesn't tell you the quality of work I'm not sure what will. Without Lee, I'm not sure my experience would be the same and at the same quality.

I have high expectations and that value has been there at Car-X for years, even with Herb who took care of my old services did a wonderful job. I hope this level of quality stays for years to come.

Lee is the BEST technician and Manager. He is honest and dosen't try to upscale you. He fixes only what is needed at a great price.

The car X in Eastgate always takes great care of me, on my most recent visit I called at noon & they got me scheduled for a 5 PM oil change the same day. Lee Bailey, the manager, is almost always working & answering the phone. He is so friendly, helpful & whoever changes my oil always goes above and beyond. Checking my tire pressure, topping off my fluids, & getting me in & out for an oil change in 20 minutes. I haven’t found this level of service anywhere else! Thank you!

I had to get 4 sets of brakes and 2 rotors and the price wad very reasonable. The man working the counter was a really good guy. I was feeling sick from my liver disease and asked him if they had a soda machine. He was going to go get me one from the store but another mechanic gave up his soda for free. Then someone offered to drive my car back to my house because they were worried that I might be too sick to drive. Not just good mechanics but good people as will. I highly recommend Car X in Eastgate.

After several excessively expensive visits to Firestone, decided to bring my car here for second opinions. The staff is not only more welcoming, but overall much more efficient and fairly-priced. I came in to have my brakes/rotors done, and the next day came back after a few dashboard lights were on. The team was able to see me right away, took the time to diagnose the issue and gave me the best options for action steps after. Absolutely recommend.

We drive from Adams county Ohio all way to EASTGATE just because of the service lee and his crew provide honest work . Lee treats you with respect and works to find a way to get you in and out in a timely manner he is the reason we use this Car X

Noticed my brakes were squeaking while on a business trip, so I stopped at this location. The people were very helpful. They inspected my vehicle and found the brakes to have 50% pad left - in good working order. I appreciate their honesty!

Recently had my exhaust pipe fall of on my car. I was driving from New Jersey to Ohio and this happened along the way. I was able to secure it with some wires for a quick fix.

I went here to get it checked out as i had another drive coming up and didn't want the issue to pop up again.

Lee helped me secure the exhaust so that i could be on my way till i get the new parts. He was very prompt with the service. I literally walked in 15 minutes before closing and he didn't even make me wait for a minute.

Awesome and honest service. Had taken my vehicle to Pep Boys for the same problem and Pep Boys didn't fix what I needed repaired, but instead found something else that needed to be fixed which they said "could" be what was causing the problem. Lee at CarX told me what it would be to fix and gave me the low to high estimate and it ended up being on the low end of the spectrum to fix. There's a reason this shop has such great reviews, they're honest, fast, and friendly.

Took my car in to have the front bearings replaced but after test driving the car and inspecting the front end they said the bearings are fine. They did a safety inspection and suggested some things to have checked by the shop that sold me the tires two years ago. I am impressed that they were honest and didn't replace the hubs anyway. I had them do an oil change, which didn't take them very long at all! Good shop and I will definitely use Car-X in Eastgate the next time I need service on my car.

We've taken our vehicles here for years and we've always been treated fairly and well. Ask for Herb and he'll take care of you! He never tries selling us what we don't need but lets us know what might need attention in the future. If you need car service, the Car-X in Eastgate is a great place to take it!
