Do-Rest Court

I was up there for a wedding, and we were fortunate enough to have the Do-Rest as our housing for the event, and we couldn't be happier. The owner Rob, his beautiful wife, and their employees went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, fun, and wholesome. I couldn't imagine coming to Lake George and staying anywhere else. It was not only affordable, but the location was superb, and the rooms were clean and well furnished. The wedding was amazing, and it was in large part due to not only the fantastic planner and crew, but also to the personnel at the Do-Rest. If you are planning a wedding, a vacation, or a just a trip to go somewhere new, Do-Rest should be top of the list.

We rented three cabins the weekend of June 25th.
This was our first time at the DO REST.
From booking our stay with Rob who spent so much time with us figuring which would be the best cabin for us to our 3 night stay on the property was absolutely superb!
Rob and Kathleen and their staff were absolutely amazing!
They drove around on their golf cart asking us if we needed anything and if there was anything they could do to make the stay even better.
We couldn’t have found a better staff, better service and a better place to stay.
The cabins were spotless. I am very finicky when it comes to cleanliness. The beds are entirely stripped down including the coverlets and quilts are removed and washed!
This far surpassed my expectations!!!
Awesome awesome accommodations!
We plan to stay again next year.

Another great weekend at the Do-Rest but this time with friends. Rob,Kathleen and their staff were so friendly & welcoming. Cabins were clean & neat. The pool is heated so it was a perfect place to cool off & relax. Close to Lake George Village with an added bonus that the trolley stop is right in front of the resort. Great liitle get away spot for families & friends. We love it there so we will definitely be back

Absolutely beautiful, I never felt more at home. I travel with 3 small children all under 6 years old, let me tell you they absolutely loved it. The owner was so pleasant so friendly and super kind. He saw I had my kids and right away offered the pool and put on the heat so the pool could be warm. They also have an adorable play area next to the pool. The cabins were spotless absolutely clean and so beautiful. I will definitely without a doubt go back

My family travels like 3 out of 4 weekends and this place is a true hidden gem. It is small and family owned/operated. The young man who helped me at the front desk upon arrival was courteous and helpful. I asked about vacancy and rates. My husband checked in a the tax was included in the quoted rate which was a great little surprise bonus. Check in was a breeze and our kids were in the pool within a half hour. Pretty soon Rob pulled up to inform/invite us about a fire later in the night and he tossed a giant ball into the pool for the kids. They also ran on the playground for a bit. Our kids fell asleep so we missed the fire but next time! The room was spacious and clean. There were 2 bedrooms and a day bed with trundle in living room and TVs for each. The shower had great pressure and heat. The kitchen was stocked with full fridge, stove, coffee maker and filters, dish soap, microwave... I didn't open drawers as we weren't preparing food just staying for the night but I'd bet there are utensils and pans. You can tell they take great pride in this location and I hope we get to stay here again!

Do Rest is an amazingly adorable place to stay. Rob and his entire family are incredibly kind and made us feel like family the moment we arrived. The pool was was great, service was wonderful, rooms are cozy and very clean. All of my stress from work left my mind. I was so relaxed and happy staying here. I will be coming back soon and will be staying here again and again. Thank you Rob and family for making us feel like home.

The Do-Rest is a great place to stay. I had a awesome time. It was close to everything and the manager was friendly and helpful. The cabins are spacious and clean. The pool was heated. My family really enjoyed their time here. Thank you for making me and my family's stay memorable.

Rob and Kathleen are the nicest and most accommodating hosts you’ll ever meet. They provided us with a coffee maker and fan upon request. They did not have another fan so Rob went to the store and bought one! They also joined us in the evening and several others guests to ensure we were enjoying our stay. I’ve stayed in many places throughout the US and they are by far the nicest hosts. They truly care about everyone. We came back this year because we knew we would have a great time. Thank you Rob and Kathleen you epitomize customer service and care for all beyond expectations! We will continue to come back because of you!

Took a little overnight trip and needed somewhere to stay the night. Called the Do-Rest, still family owned & operated after 76 years and totally accommodating even last minute. Rob (the current owner) will have you feeling like family he hasn't seen in years within the first 5 minutes. It's cozy, it's nostalgic but most importantly: IT'S SUPER CLEAN! In the morning he even offered to grab us coffee while he went to town. It may not have all the glitz and glamor of huge commercial hotel. But it's got a great pool, fun play area for the kids & all the feelings of staying at a family's place in the woods. We can't wait to go back in the fall!

I stayed with my sister and nephew for the Labor day weekend and we had a lovely time. The rooms are clean, comfortable and cozy. Doreen and her staff keep this place beautiful. I would definitely return and encourage anyone who reads these reviews to book their room, so you can also enjoy the experience of living in a cabin. It was our first time and we loved it.We found this place by accident, and it was a blessing, we are already planning to return. Doreen, thank you so much for your hospitality, you made our weekend memorable and we hope to see you again next year.

Friendly family atmosphere, so clean its more like a ten star !!! When I walked in to cottage it smelled beautiful like hung out laundry , floors shining bathroom spotless refrigerator clean as a whistle grills to cook a breakfast griddle a front little deck with picnic table and the walls outside of cabin are even clean ! I love this place really ! So grateful come here you’ll love it !

Just got home today from of the best little trip. The cabins are so cute and clean and Rob, the owner is beyond awesome. Don't think twice, book it. Close to everything and the trolly stops if you have had to many to drink. You feel at home here. Going back in a few weeks
Some cabins have kitchens and some don't so just make sure you tell him. What you want and Rob will make it happen.

We had a great experience at the Do Rest. Extremely clean cabins and Rob and his wife were so accommodating. We stayed there for 5 days during the Adirondack car show and would highly recommend this place. Jim and Gina D

my family and I stayed at the do rest for a week and had the most relaxing family vacation. the cabins were clean and comfortable. Rob and his nephew Tim went above and beyond their call of duty to insure a memorable vacation. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR ALL

This place is absolutely amazing from friendliness to cleanliness after. The owner/operator Rob made an exception after hearing my camping reservation was canceled do to flooding last minute. He rented us a room that he was saving. The follow day he had one of his family members get out of a cabin and stay with friends so my family had a place to stay that night also at Lee’s the family’s other resort of cabins since everything was booked for the weekend. And topped it all off with giving my wife and I a beer after check in at both places GOOD OLD NORTHERN HOSPITALITY!!!! Tell him Mike from cabin 17 sent ya. A+

Had a very nice time. Extremely clean and friendly staff. Great family destination close to all that Lake George has to offer. Would highly recommend based on affordability, comfort, and cleanliness. Our first time to see Lake George and we’re very happy we stayed at The Do-rest Court, very quiet, friendly staff and accessible to all your needs..from tourist spots, outlet malls and most specially walking distance to the stores where you can buy all your basic needs..thank you Do-rest, we had a perfect summer getaway..surely we’ll highly recommend your place 🫡

If it hard 20 stars i would have given all 20 stars. Let me tell you my stay at Do-rest court was fantastic. Rob is an amazing man wow he went far and beyond to make my stay fantastic. It has been family own for 72 years and Rob made me feel at home for real. Funny and very pleasant. Always making sure that we were having fun and enjoying the place and very servant if we needed something. BBQ area was amazing and pool was terrific. YES YES i do recomend and hoping to go back soon again.

My family and I stayed here last weekend and it was absolutely perfect. Rob and his crew were so nice, accommodating and had great customer service skills. We all felt very comfortable and like home. I highly recommend them!

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights in a wonderful cabin , we were greeted by 2 of the most lovely women we have ever met. The hospitality was far beyond anything you could ever ask for. All the guests were awsome and friendly . The owners had great advice on places to eat and things to do .
