Old Fields Restaurant Greenlawn

Old Field's is a fabulous experience. It is a warm, cozy and inviting pub ( great Bartender; Ron ) and steakhouse that does everything right. I perceive that the owner; Dave, knows his craft as he has done well in educating and instructing his staff in a way that produces a very professional presentation, but also what appears to me to be happy servers and front end support. Everyone here is super smiley, friendly and just super nice and seem to stay around and like working here. That makes a difference, IMO. Rob, Ron, Beck, Haley, Taylor, and others all are superb. The food is always great, and although the menu changes and daily specials are offered, Old Field's keeps the most favorite items on the menu, such as the marinated skirt steak, Dave's Roasted Chicken and other delicious entrees and apps. Every food item is delicious and consistent and perfect and the attention to detail shows that Dave the owner and staff strive to present the best experience to their patrons. I am always impressed, satisfied and happy when I come here. And as an example of the attention to detail, which may be lost on many customers, is that the serving staff, when presenting your entree at your table, will spin the plate in front of you to lay it in the perfect presentation position. That's impressive attention to detail, Wow! So Nice! That type of detail clearly shows that Old Field's cares, and cares a lot. Bravo! I thank Old Field's for being a valuable asset in my enjoyment of Life and highly recommend it to all that love great food, great service, great atmosphere and great value.

Friendly spot for a real nice meal and cocktails. We had dinner as a group of 6 including two children and really enjoyed every part of our experience at Old Fields. Our server was excellent and took nice care of the kids. The cocktails and dishes were enjoyed by all. I had the roast chicken and it was fantastic. Totally recommend.

Completely different than the Old Fields in Huntington Village but that can be a great thing. The burger was massive and delicious and the fries were awesome. Love the local vibe with neighborhood photos and the friendly faces every time I'm there :)

My Fiance and I were celebrating a special day. The owner Christine made it extra special. The food was delicious! If you are in the mood for a real treat, make a reservation here. Great staff too!

Wonderful food, ambiance and service. Very unique in a great way to most other places I frequent on Long Island. Highly recommended.

Have the flank steak surprisingly soft and well seasoned, salmon dish was also very fresh and cooked to perfection. Our server Sarah was pleasant and professional

Old Fields Restaurant in Greenlawn is a happy place. The patrons fill both the bar and the tables because you are most likely to sit back and enjoy a fantastic cocktail and meal with friends. They offer a choice selection in steaks like their 22oz Bone-In Ribeye with Hotel Butter as well as yummy appetizers like Baked Brie with Croatian Fig Jam, Balsamic, baked in Puff Pastry, French Onion Soup with Gruyere Cheese, Glazed Smoked Pork Belly with Carrot + Daikon Slaw, Citrus, Sesame seasoning, or a lovely Beet and Goat Cheese Salad with Purple & Golden Beets, Orange, Goat Cheese, Pecans, and Arugula. They serve fantastic juicy burgers and crispy steak fries and delicious sides too among wings, ribs, and a raw bar. I have yet to have room for dessert! For commuters, this excellent restaurant is a very convenient walking distance of the Greenlawn Train Station.

All of their food is delicious and the service is excellent. Try the Old Fields Burger or short ribs and go for a side order of Mac & Cheese if you want their very best. I've eaten here many times and those are my go to's. Their steaks are also good.

Me and my family dined here for the first time. We are a party of 6 (4 little ones) our waitress was so nice and made us feel comfortable dining with our little ones. Crayons were brought to the table immediately and she engaged in conversation with them. The manager Eric came over to our table to welcome us and Introduce himself where he then also engaged with my kids. Our drinks were absolutely amazing and the food was beyond our expectations! We ordered the wings and oysters as an appetizer followed up with popcorn chicken for the kids and skirt steak and fish n’ chips dinner. After our first bite my husband and I both looked at each other and said “we are definitely coming back here”. Eric and Haley both came back to check on us and commented on how well behaved our kids were (appreciate them lying haha) just kidding. For dessert we dabbed in literally a little of everything from cheesecake, crème brûlée , bread pudding and a brownie!! I have no wordsssssss! They were allllllll AMAZING!! Really amazing food welcoming environment and friendly staff! I’m used to managers making themself present at top steak houses, the fact that Eric went out of his way to make me and my kids feel welcomed meant a lot to us and made us feel welcome. Dining with 4 little ones can be an uncomfortable experience as you never want to feel like your disturbing anyone else’s dinner, Eric and Haley made us feel so welcome it was the last concern on my mind, we will 100% be coming back here.

Great spot for a date. Service was friendly and attentive, and the food delicious. The Mac & cheese is worth all of the hype, and the steak came out perfect. Highly recommend

I’ve done dinner here before, and the higher price point is most certainly worth the quality of food you will get here. However, this review is for brunch specifically.
I know, who knew Old Fields does brunch? Well, they do, and they do it right.
Normally this place is packed for dinner and waiting is typical, but Sunday brunch is another story. Just past noon, there was ample seating available. Service was swift and pleasant. The brunch menu was simple but had the classics anyone could want. I chose the bread pudding French toast. The dish was not too sweet nor was it dense. Instead it was a light bite that left me yearning for more. I had a mimosa and coffee for beverages. The coffee was roasted to perfection; free refills are also a plus. The mimosa was small but the champagne to OJ ratio was great. This wasn’t a mimosa drowned out with sugar. A nice helping of crisp bacon on the side is a must order. My fiancée had the crab cake benny. The size of the dish was a good size. You won’t find an oversized dish here that leaves you unbuttoning your pants in an attempt to breath.
High recommendation.

Food is great, but a bit pricey. Staff and service are wonderful. We sat at the bar for a shared appetizer (Popcorn chicken is not only a large portion, but also REALLY good) and then shared the daily special (filet of sole). Two drinks each (for the two of us) came to about $85 + tip. Ron at the bar was great, as are all the servers.

This restaurant runs like a well oiled machine. It may be a bit expensive, but I don't mind when I thoroughly enjoyed my meal-which I did. This has to be one of the most picturesque pubs-the fireplace, busy bar and booths make it feel very cool. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants good food, good beer and good desert=the Trifecta!!! Enjoy

Omg the food here is sooooo good. We got the fish tacos and hot wings for appetizer and my fiancé got steak with mashed potatoes. Yummyyy!!! I got the shrimp and grits which was also good, the grits were a little watery but the flavor was amazing. The place was clean, the waitress was nice. We’ll definitely be back!

Dinner was delicious. We had fettuccine w short rib n a veal dish. Very good. 👍

All i can say is WOW! Food was beyond incredible! We got the buttermilk popcorn chicken for an appetizer to go along w our Mezcal old fashioned and mango jalapeño margarita. Perfect first round! For dinner, hands down the best steak marinade i’ve ever had in my life. Also split a burger- which was also 10/10. Our waitress Meghan was exceptional- super attentive, friendly, and informative about menu options. If you haven’t been here - GO. You will not be disappointed.

Wow the mac and cheese has definitely made my favorite list, steak was fantastic and spinach and artichoke dip was great! The staff where very attentive! I highly recommend this place!

Great restaurant to have a lovely dinner. Everything we ordered was very tasty and fresh. The fish is just amazing!
